We discovered this restaurant last summer and have been here quite a few times since and love it! We always start with the harbor artichokes and the dipping sauce that comes with it is to die for! I usually end up dipping some of their fresh bread in it as well! The salad is always good that comes with the meal. We have been able to try many of their dishes, and they never disappoint! Make sure to save room for dessert because it is always yummy!

Been coming her for many years, great food. From the stuffed cherry pepper appetizer to the salad served family style, every entre we’ve had, and finally the homemade deserts are excellent. Last night for our anniversary dinner, the seventh or so we have celebrated at Ryan’s, my wife had the filet gorgon zola and loved it. I had the lighthouse pasta and it was fantastic. With chicken in a mushroom pesto cream sauce. Service is excellent. I must dispute one thing about the Unilocal review. In no way is Ryan’s Lookout more expensive than Tin Pan Galley. The menu items at Tin Pan Galley more expensive but they do not include a salad either. At Ryan’s you get an excellent salad served family style. For us, dining at Ryan’s Lookout is a great special occasion experience. We come back several times a season.

Delicious I!!! Bam Bam shrimp appetizer was amazing, crumbly blue on your tossed salad. Warm Italian bread with an olive oil based dipping sauce they make at the table. Beautiful view of the lake from the porch seating. Hubby had one of the nightly specials Galloo Island Pasta, shrimp, scallops, prosciutto perfect sauce and spices. I had the trio of Italy, manicotti, Alfredo, and a hand-breaded chicken parm!!! I wanted dessert, but was too full. Can’t wait to come back, maybe we will do dessert first next time.

Pricey food. Mediocre Alfredo. Crappy service. Chicken Marsala was good but when they ask what side you want get the pasta since amazingly this chicken Marsala doesn’t come with pasta.

Amazing! Who knew, tucked away in a small harbor village there was this Gem. We have driven by a hundred times. Not much to look at from the road side. Step inside, quaint, cozy & nicely decorated. Had no idea it was an Italian menu. I had my doubts. I was amazed! The steak gonzola pasta was spectacular. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to spill the cooking techniques of the dishes. Glad we tried it, it will definitely be in our regular rotation! :-)

I don’t understand why everyone gives this place good reviews. It’s not good. The sauces are heavy and tasteless and the salads unexceptional. Once I went in there alone and sat at the bar and they made me move to an out of the way table. Ok, I guess, but it seemed like I was being ignored a bit. The drinks are not so great either, not a heavy pour by any means and too much ice. I’ve been here a couple times in 2013 and in 2014 tried to avoid it but was desperate in the neighborhood area(which has a dearth of many restaurants until you get up to Watertown) and so went again to this place. I was disappointed then too. Reading these reviews makes me want to try it again but they were written in 2013 and 14, which is when I had gone. Too bad, I would love a great local spot in Henderson.

Simply put this restaurant is exceptional! I had dinner with my daughter July 6 and it was obvious this place can compete with any restaurant in Atlanta. We had veal Parmesan and shrimp linguine. The basic salad is one of the best we have had. The fried goat cheese was great and everything is made and prepared on the premises. Formerly Verrilli’s restaurant was very good but the new owners have taken it to another level.

Ryan’s Lookout has changed for the better. Much better. We had a party of four on a Sunday evening. Drinks were perfect. The owner, Mary Lou delivered them to our table. She is exceptional! I ordered the Ahi Tuna over a bed of fried seaweed. The seaweed could have been an appetizer by itself. Something I’ve never had before. It was surprising good with the Ahi. The Sushi grade tuna was very, very good. My meal was their fried Haddock dinner. It was better than anything I’ve had, certainly anything that I can recall. The entire table had wonderful entrees and everyone raved about the meal. The waitress and staff were very friendly, cordial and unobtrusive. Very knowledgeable on all items on their menu. A great plus for newbies. I would have given them 6 stars if it was up there. A great spot for a wonderful meal.

Ryan’s Look Out is like a second home to us. Marylou and her Staff always makes you feel like a member of the family. My family and I have been dining their regularly for many years. Ever meal has always exceeded our expectations. The Patriotic Pasta is the tastiest and most enjoyable pasta dish I have ever had. The desserts are always enjoyable, not just taste, but also presentation. Thank you Marylou, Nathan, karlie, Sassy Sam and all the Ryan’s crew for always making our dinning experience the best.

Ryan’s has become a reliable staple for us in our many trips to the Henderson Harbor /Sackets area. The food(especially the fresh fish specials) are consistently well-prepared and delicious, not to mention a great value for the amount and quality. While we usually opt for take out, last night we enjoyed a leisurely dinner on the screened in porch overlooking the sunset on lake ontario. Stunning. Sam, our server, was probably the best we’ve had at any restaurant in the area. The small portion of linguine in red clam sauce was by far the best we’ve had anywhere. Incredibly light and fresh. The same could be said for the simply prepared haddock with a panko crust. Kudos as well for accommodating special dietary needs(no garlic or dairy) without complaint. The usual sides of salad and bread far surpass the run-of-the-mill options at most restaurants. Love that dipping oil and maple butter. Thank you Ryan’s. We’ll be back soon.
