Nathalie’s Thrifty Pet Salon & Boutique

I would give ZERO stars if I could! Do NOT do business with Nathalie’s Thrifty Pet Grooming «Salon» in Vegas!!! I had a Groupon and an appointment today; they failed to mark the appt down on their calendar, then refused to accept the Groupon, then the groomer proceeded to CURSE AT ME, calling me a «f***ing moron for not reading the fine print». I spoke with the owner and she DEFENDED the groomer AND the name calling! Awful customer service and terrible business management!
P. S. If you read every negative review the owner is on there arguing with the customer, just like they complained about in their review, further validating that they are awful at customer service, understaffed, and the staff they do have are rude and disrespectful and don’t care about the people spending their money or the countless animals running around and peeing/​pooping all over the store!

I acknowledged that my groupon was expired when I set an appointment with this company. I asked the lady there, if I could still use whatever I paid the groupon for (groupon states that the paid value does not expire) and I will pay the remaining balance and tip the rest that it does not cover, the lady agreed. When I picked up my dog, I paid with the owner and she said that they do not take the groupons at the moment, next groupon available appointment was the beginning of the year. She told me to use it some other time… As if! I never will return here again! She told me to contact groupon!!! I was already unhappy at that point. This company has the worst customer service EVER since I entered the establishment. First, when I got there, there was a customer there who had an unpleasant prior visit, who returned her dog there to get her baby fixed. When she left, the workers there were blatantly bad-​mouthing her with no disregard! It was repulsive. Secondly, there are two doors to get in, it was my first visit so I didn’t know if we are allowed to walk right in. The lady at the cash register (as she bad mouthed the last customer) disregarded I was there for several minutes, I had to ask if it’s okay to walk in! When I picked up my dog (I was the last person there to pick up my dog) I heard the lady in the back… SCREAMING and SHOUTING at my dog (I have a little Pomeranian) and heard my dog CRYING! The lady who just picked up her dog was shocked as well, and told me «if that was my dog I would lose it, I’m never coming here again! I’m so sorry». A customer even apologized for the company!!! When the groomer brought him out, she acted like nothing is wrong, and called my dog a sweet cute little guy. What the heck? In addition, I brought my little niece with me. She was horrified, and she cried to her mom and said that they hurt my dog. Seriously, never had such a bad experience in my life. P. S. I read other reviews and they similar issues. To the owner, instead of your passive aggressive replies and your rude and snarky comebacks to your upset customers, why not practice good customer service and listen to your customers, and try to compromise? How immature! Learn how to take constructive criticism!

Bought a basic grooming package off of groupon. I took my puppy in and they were very kind and he came out looking great! When I went to pick him up he was roaming the store with his little friends :)

I took my newly adopted dog here for a bath. There were 6 or 7 dogs running loose around the store, jumping up where my dog was trying to have his first bath. It was so much chaos! There were more dogs in a middle area and in enclosed kennels in another room. There was only 1 person working there will all those dogs. We won’t be going there again.

Had the worst experience ever with a groomer. As i entered the establishment I accidentally let a dog out who used his nose to open the second door and get out. One of the groomers caught the dog and proceeded to cuss me out. I’m sure dogs get out all the time and it wasn’t something I did intentionally. I think the groomers behavior was inappropriate and unprofessional. I was really upset and decided not to leave my dog there. I have never been so disrespected at any establishment. I don’t recommend them to anyone. They will never get another dollar out of me. I think they should train their staff in better methods of dealing with their customers.

I tried this place a few times for my bischon poodle. Was never thrilled with her grooming; it was just okay. They also cut some miles she has the last 2 times I had taken her and never told me until I noticed them when I got home. I tried supporting the place because of the location and to help out a small local business, but wasn’t satisfied with the service or friendliness of the staff. Hope others have better luck

I like this place! The fact that there are dogs running around is actually a perk, bc my dog gets social time with his grooming. The ladies were very polite and are true dog people– when you get a call telling you that your dog wanted them to call you bc he’s tired of waiting, you know they understand how much your critter means to you. We will definitely be back to visit these ladies!

Worst place ever! Made appointment, told them I had a groupon which gave a 12.00 discount. The lady at the desk argued with me that I didn’t tell the person who made the appointment that I had one. BIG LIE. She didn’t want to honor it. Don’t try to sell on groupon if you wont accept them. She argued, was rude, and then her groomer came out of the back and said, «that’s what you get for being cheep». I happen to be a crazy good tipper as I was in a tipping business myself. I told them to go «F» themselves and I would never go there even if it was free!!! So disrespectful. The place was dirty. There were dogs and pee all over the place. Way to build a business!!! Try LuLus pet spa, they are amazing and super clean!!!

Nathalie and her staff are warm and compassionate and loving of all the animals that come into their shop. As human beings, nobody can be perfect to everybody elses standards 100% of the time. That said I will drive all the way across town to have them cut my chi’s nails… because he trusts them. That is a big deal for my little rescued Chi. And I have taken him for doggie day care many times and even though he has separation anxiety he has made friends there and Nathalie has even taken video of him playing with other dogs and posting it on FB for me to see and share with my friends and family.
I have taken him to Camp Bow Wow, which at the front appears to me to be more «professional» or whatever, and it’s nice that they have live video feeds so that you can see the dogs while you are away, but the space inside is sterile and cold and bland. Four walls with a concrete floor. No. Nathalie’s is more like home. And when people come in and bring their dog or come to shop for food or clothes, my dog gets to meet the people too! So he is getting more social interaction and confidence.
Nathalie does a lot of great things for the local animal community, she and her staff are warm and compassionate. My little boy loves it there… enough said!

Great place! Good prices, great staff, always willing to accommodate whether it be for grooming or boarding. Nathalie is active in the rescue community and boards many rescue pups looking for forever homes in her daycare environment to make them more adoptable. I take my dogs there for grooming and boarding. Nathalie’s customer service is what makes her stand out from other grooming salons I’ve encountered.

My first time there and my little yorkie got a completely butchered haircut. I couldn’t believe they shaved him down and then they left the fur on his head, ears, and face long and uneven some parts super short and the rest looked untouched. The parts they did touch like above his eye was super short and couldn’t see his other eye cause the fur was so long. The groomer then told me my dog was crazy. I ended up taking him to another place to fix up the mess they created. He looks so much better now. I even asked the other place about his behavior and they said he just needed to be reminded to relax and he was fine. It seems as though Nathalie’s groomer was not patient or caring at all, just rushing through the entire process. I would never take my dog back there, not even for a free grooming.

I have taken my dog there several times. They had my dog for 7 hrs last time. I was so upset, but they didn’t seem to care. The groomer is a talker and never listens to you. I am looking for a new place that will care about people’s time.

I don’t know where I would be without Nathalie’s Thrifty Pet!!! My fur kids hated previous groomers but love coming here!!! I also board them with her when I work out of town and my experiences with her and her team have been top notch from day one! Not to mention all the great work she does for the rescue community. Thrifty Pet has a customer and supporter for life in me!!! Thanks again for all you do!!!

Went to see about some dogs to adopt and never received a call back! so thankful we found another place to find our dog.

Kind of ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ on this place. The first time I took my dogs here they looked so cute and they cut their fur perfectly! But the next couple of times my bichon frise mix had a really bad cut.
Her ears were jaggedly trimmed as is someone took regular scissors and cut straight across. And on my terrier mix I could see the clipper sheers indentations leaving squared patterns on her fur as if someone never used clippers in their life!
This has happened about 3 out of the 10 times there. I guess it just depends on who is cutting your dogs hair that day!
I can also recall a few times where it took about 10 hours until we were able to pick up my dogs. They need to fix their number of workers to dog ratio, because I do not like setting an appointment at 8am and not being able to pick them up until 5pm. It’s a bit ridiculous.

Nathalie’s is AMAZING I took my little 3 month old Yorkiepoo Niko for his first grooming today and I was honestly nervous because he tends to be timid around other dogs and humans. His scruffiness however forced me to take him lol. The team here greeted not only me but my little baby as well and although he was nervous at first he took to them rather well. Once I cane to pick him up I was ecstatic. My Niko looked amazing with his cute little cut and they said he was amazing and was a good little boy. I will definitely use there services again! Great Job!!!

Our first time visiting Nathalie’s, and Henry didn’t want to leave when it was time to head home. Upon walking in, I was delighted. The place felt warm and cozy, and there were little pups running around playing. I was able to get an appt in on very short notice, which made me happy because Henry needed a grooming badly. I told them what I wanted for him, and they listened and did it well.
What sold me on this now being Henry’s new spa, was the way they treated us after finding out he had a small knick from his haircut. They advised me to bring him in, they looked at the cut, cleaned him up and he was as good as new. They were very accommodating and compassionate. I received a follow up call the next day to make sure my little guy was alright.
I will def be back to Nathalie’s! Thanks =)

I love this place. They take really great care of my dogs, are reasonably priced, are always finished when they say they’ll be and have a huge stock of treats for your pup!
Nathalie is usually always there and she’s super friendly. She’s also very, very accommodating. Whatever I need, she does, every time.
The store is clean and is blocked off so that pups can run around in the place without being leashed, which is so nice. My dogs really love it.
When the dogs aren’t being groomed they aren’t stuck in cages, but in a play area where there are lots of toys and water. It’s much nicer than them being cramped up for long periods of time waiting to be groomed.
I didn’t get the groomers name, but she did exactly what I asked her to. She didn’t take too much off and my dogs looked beautiful when she was done.
By the way, TIPS ARE CASH ONLY. Don’t get stuck, like me, with a credit card and no cash. I felt terrible and had to run to the gas station down the street to bring it back!
This is a really great place for grooming. I’m very pleased and will only take my dogs here.
