Kim truly is the best there is! She was supportive, knowledgeable, kind, trustworthy and everything I needed from a midwife from beginning to end. She was always open minded and always made me feel like this was my birth and nobody elses. We got the exact birth we wanted and Kim helped us get that. Our first baby was born at home with only the best support from Kim and her assistant Romina. We have received the best after care and I can only say that is priceless. We will absolutely be going with Kim for any future children and we would recommend Kim and Romina to anyone considering a home birth.

Kim is as good as it get, as far as I’m concerned, when it comes to an active, caring and educated midwife. She always had all the answers to my questions and was up to date with homeopathic or natural remedies for things. One thing that sticks out in my mind is when I was extremely sick at the end of my pregnancy, she was at another birth but arranged for a few of her fellow colleagues to come to my house and help me. I was having contractions and they were able to get them to stop without me having to go to the hospital. So anything that you can think of, that might scare you away from a home birth, they have already been through it and handle it with poise. Ask her anything, you’ll see! She is very reassuring. And if this is the kind of both that you want, Kim is the midwife you should have by your side.

Kim was my midwife for the birth of my son. He was my first baby and so I had a lot of anxiety and questions and concerns throughout the whole pregnancy. Kim was always patient, kind, supportive and wonderful anytime I needed that extra support or a question answered.
During the birth, Kim made my husband and I feel supported and very well taken care of, but also she let us have a lot of space to experience the amazing event of our child’s birth. She was right there when we needed her, but never pushy or invasive. She was just great at picking up on our cues and what we needed during the birth. When it got hard in the end, she was so encouraging and kind.
After the birth, she even made me the best PB&J I think I have ever eaten. (This might be because I was starving… or maybe she is also just a very gifted sandwich maker.)
Our birth and everything leading up to it and everything after it was much easier with Kim’s help.

When I became pregnant with my first child, my Cobra lapsed and I was dropped from insurance. After weeks of fighting to get my insurance back and not receiving prenatal care because of our lack of funds (right after the economy bottomed out), my pregnancy was considered high risk. I was 22 weeks pregnant, hadn’t heard the baby’s heart beat and was at my wits end. Kim, who had been my friend’s doula, offered to give me prenatal care even though at the time I was sure I was going to have a hospital birth.
My experience with Kim was so empowering. It was an unexpected pregnancy in an uncertain time in our lives and Kim was a total rock. My pregnancy went from a scary experience to something beautiful. We ended up deciding on a home birth, and my husband says it was one of the best experiences of his life (he was against it at first). Kim was truly amazing, kind, calm, warm and knowledgeable. Because of her, I am more empowered with every medical decision I make for myself and my children (yes, she was my midwife for my second child as well).
Thinking about my birth experience with Kim makes me want to have another baby because she is so great and she made my labor one of the best experiences of my life.

Kim is simply amazing! She delivered our son at home, and provided a sense of calm for my wife and I throughout our pregnancy. She is an absolute gem in the valley. We are so lucky to have a professional as capable as her in Southern Nevada.

I’ve known Kim as a Birth Professional for over 4 years. She left such an impression as my doula during my first 42 week pregnancy, that although she couldn’t be at the birth, we went straight back to her when we found out about #2. I hired Kim as my midwife and couldn’t have dreamed of better care! I went more than 2 weeks overdue again and ended up in the hospital after 5 days of labor. Even though nothing went as I had hoped, Kim was there for me, my husband, and my baby the whole time; when all the other «professionals» had failed me. She was able to educate us and offer every bit of information and support we needed to make the right decisions for me and my baby. She is strong, knowledgable, and has such a naturally calming presence. I couldn’t have asked for a better advocate. Love her!

Our son was initially in breech position for many weeks, and Kim remained prepared and taught us everything we needed to know about breech birth (whether at home or in a hospital). He ended up turning in the last few weeks, so that was a relief!
During my wife’s birth, Kim stayed with us for an extended period of time. She went above and beyond to make sure the baby was okay as well as the mother. She was thoroughly equipped and well prepared for anything and everything. Her professionalism and ability to listen and respond effectively (and care for us at the same time!) shone through since our first meeting. We couldn’t have asked for a better birth mentor than Kim Trower. :)

Kim was one of my midwives for my third child. She is amazing! Highly recommended. :)

Kim was our second in command midwife during our last pregnancy. She was just WONDERFUL! So patient and understanding, and just a joy talk to. She always seems to have a smile on her face, and love in her heart for the work that she does. Thank you Kim!!!
