They did an excellent fast job copying my car key !!! It was inexpensive and they were very friendly. :)

Called about broken deadbolt at Noon. Ron came out at 2:30 and was done by 2:45. Perfectly fixed. Awesome job! Thank you!

I had lost the keys to safe at my office and the battery combo didn’t work. I couldn’t bring in the safe as it was bolted down. Ron came out and picked the lock in 15 minutes and the whole thing was less than $ 100. I will be using them for a security system in the near future.

I recently used Gene’s Lock and Security to install a 4000 lb safe in a cash room for a large venue here in Las Vegas. When the safe arrived, we had major concerns that the safe would not fit in through the doorway leading to the cash room. The situation looked hopeless, and I was in a major predicament. Most companies I know would have taken the easy road out and said «Good Luck to You» and left me with the problem. Luckily these guys were major problem solvers. The team was able to make major temporary modifications to the safe and doorway that allowed us to eventually squeeze that bad boy into the cash room. This took a lot of extra effort, time, and strategy, and they saved the day for me. Like I said, I don’t know many companies that will go through all that, when they are contracted for the simple and easy job. If you use these guys, you know you will be getting the A team!

These people are great. Have taken care of all of my personal and business needs for over 20 years.

We visited Gene’s today because our digital safe had died and we had no way of getting it open. When we first entered the store, we were greeted by an adorable dog that was trying to use our entry as a way out. She was very friendly, and made us smile through the stressful situation that brought us here to begin with. Steve and Zane came to see what our safe looked like and we told them that basically we didn’t care if the safe got destroyed because we needed passports for travel. They were able to force the safe open in less than a minute and only charged us $ 10.
All of their employees were incredibly friendly. We were so worried that this was going to be a crazy debacle that ended in our safe door being dynamited off, and we are so relieved to have found Gene’s. We will definitely be back to get a new safe and also for any future key-​related issues we may have. On a side note, they will be moving to a new location soon. We wish them the best in their new space!

Ordered a computer chip key online then went to Gene’s to get it copied. The person who originally cut the key, wasn’t cut right and I thought I was out of a key and service I paid. I called later to speak with the manager and ended up talking to Steve. He told me that he was going to it right by giving me another key.
I went back to the store the next day, gave him the originals to copy and in less than 2 minutes I was out the door.

I think so but, this is the reason why MOM and POP places that don’t keep up with customer service will disappear.
I called first about car keys being programmed they gave me a positive GO.
When I showed up with my own Blanks for a 2015 Nissan and a 2008 Toyota FJ the owner gave me an excuse that my blank did not fit his machine and that my original key on the 2015 Nissan did not have a chip.
Gene’s could not make the up-​sale by selling me their own blanks so my business was turned away.
went to Home Depot (out of all places) they cut my Blank for Free for the Toyota and the Blank fit Perfectly, and programmed my Nissan Keyless remote for $ 69. with no issues.
You have the right to refuse business to anyone right?
well, that’s a really ancient practice, keep up with the times, keep you industry alive.
Update your customer practices.

I called for an estimate regarding deadbolt locks. I spoke with the owner Steve who gave me an estimate which we negotiated at a fair price. When his office lady called me back to schedule the time and receive payment, I wanted to review the pricing and product so there was no mistakes on the day of service. She then told me the price which was $ 200 dollars over the quote I received from Steve. I asked her about this, but she couldn’t explain it and placed me on hold. She then informed that «Steve said we would pass on the job!» I was confused by this, so I asked to speak with Steve. She stated he was unavailable, but he would call me. Steve never called back! You are the owner and you can’t figure out your own pricing?
Unbelievable! Thanks for wasting my time!
Don’t waste your time with this shady company who likes the ol’ bait and switch method! There are many other honest dealers in the valley. I went with ABC Locksmiths for the same deal!

I have used them throughout the years under the old owners. I have gone in recently to copy a pool gate key, for removable fence, I install. They made the keys and at a VERY FAIR price. Steve and his wife and Jose are all very courteous, and went above and beyond, when it came to programming my key for my Toyota.
I had purchased the key online, but the chip wasn’t good, Steve replaced the chip (at NO COST TO ME!!). He is a good guy and they’re hardworking, honest people, trying to make a living.
Go give them your business, you won’t be disappointed, I definitely will keep coming back!

I locked my safe at home
With a password I can’t remember.
Anyway I called 7 – 8 different places and they were offering some outrages amounts for this service.
I called them they said bring it over (it was small size and not bolted, lucky me)
And they open it for 5 mins for $ 20 bucks.
I hope I don’t have to use their services again, but if you are looking for one, give them a call

Just visited them and got my safe reopened in less than a minute. They charged me $ 5 and let me go on my way. This place is great, they’re humorous, friendly and know what they’re doing. I’d definitely recommend this place for any of your locksmith needs.

Place was recommended by the local post office for mail key copies and it was a good experience! Great service and you can never go wrong with quick service. And they have an abundance of choices for house keys. Will definitely be back if I need more keys made.

They must have moved to a new location very recently, but I can’t say enough nice things about this business. I had to re-​key an entire house with little notice and they arrived on time, took care of business and gave me 4 copies of every key. Fast, friendly, safe, secure. I would give them my business again.

I recently visited Gene’s to get 2 locks for my work, and encountered a multitasking Ken working solo but was still able to not only help me, but he special ordered what I needed, which arrived the very next day. This is my 2^nd experience with Gene’s, (1^st as EGIS), and I would recommend them for this type of need or work anytime. A Henderson Classic.

Professional! Gene’s is a Henderson institution. When we bought our first house in Henderson 20 years ago we had Gene’s come to key all of our locks the same key. Front door, back door, guest house, pool house, garage, closets, all the same key. We’ve had Gene’s reset the safe combination, make our keys, and cut car keys too. Professional, always perfect and at a good price. I once locked my car keys inside my car with engine running, Gene’s dispatched someone within ½ hour across town to help me. They’re definitely the best.

my daughter went to get a key made for her jeep, its a 2005, she had the new remote cover that she ordered to replace her previous one, they said not a problem knowing that there is a computer chip in the key that starts the jeep, she went outside the shop after they were done to start it and it completely shut down and went into theft mode, she ask robert (son of Gene, i believe) and ask what happen, he looked at it and said we messed up the key and its gonna have to go to the dealer, now a little upset. A friend of the family of ours came down to see what was going on and they agreed they messed up and were gonna get it fixed, they were also in the middle of moving shops, and now thinking they didnt have the right tools, to do this, so Robert called towbin dodge to see if they could get her jeep in. The service writer down there also agreed that they should of known about this key, (since thats the business they are in) also said its there fault. Now genes locksmith approved the work to be done, its was $ 900!!! when it was done, they tried to pick it up and take it out first without paying, then Gene comes down with $ 170 check saying thats what the qoute was! service writer said absolutely not! Now the are refusing to pay. They even dropped $ 100 of the bill to help out. Gene is nowhere to be found and is avoiding everyone!!! i HIGHLY recommend to not even think about using this low life business owner. Cant even make a simple key!!! What a disaster and a joke. What goes around comes around!

Here’s a little life lesson: you will spend 1.97 per key copy at Lowes and only 1.50 at Genes. Here’s the difference; the guys at Genes are real locksmiths and actually know how to cut keys… that work the first time!
Don’t get suckered into the whole convenience aspect of going to Lowes, Home Depot or other big box stores with untrained employees. The time you spend going back and forth with improperly made keys just doesn’t make sense; especially when you are paying more for each copy.
I had five keys made at Genes yesterday; all five work perfectly. The five that were made at Lowes… none of them worked! What a waste of time.
Besides expert key copying this company has everything and anything relating to locks and security. If it has, needs or can be outfitted with a lock, these guys have it or can get it. The storefront is huge compared to most locksmiths and one can spend a good hour in here just looking at all of the cool stuff.
I also inquired about their locksmith services outside of the shop. The rates are quite reasonable with a 65 dollar trip charge plus a few bucks to re-​key your lock cylinders. Not a bad deal considering I have never seen a professional trade charge anything less than 100 – 120 per trip charge.
Highly recommended for quality service, good rates, and a unique building.

These guys can do things the big box store won’t! And they understand service … It’s like the old days. If you need any rekeying or locksmith service it just want to put new door nobs or deadbolts on your door, go to Gene’s…
From making keys to exchanging out locks. They are great to deal with and at a fair price.
They also have lots of hardware and safes, etc.
