The gym itself and staff is fine, it’s the customer service and higher ups that suck. I moved back in August, talked to them on the phone, emailed them as they wished and they STILL charge me. I’ve called every month asking for a full termination and my money back for October on out. Nothing has come my way. This seems to be an on going issue with a lot of people it seems. I understand the 30 day rule so I understand being charged for September. But every month since is a joke. There are way better options out there than this place. Very disappointing.

Almost never busy. 24⁄7 access and all the essentials for a good work out. Few bad things: They advertise towel service, but most days there are no towels. So make sure you bring your own. Free WiFi is also included with your membership. But it doesn’t work very often. So don’t plan on listening to your Apple Music. Use the restroom before you leave the house. I won’t go into detail about their condition.

Been a member since this gym opened. It has what I need to get a good workout in. Cons: Yes, there are a lot of times you’ll have people not put weights away. All the time actually. It sucks really bad when there’s 100 pounds plus weight on a piece of equipment. Alot of people are just not considerate unfortunately, as in life. So, if I could give those people a 1 star I would, but not the gyms fault really. Pros: It’s usually not too busy, it’s 24⁄7 and it’s close to my house, which is the only reason I stay. Staff are just that… staff… not very engaging unless you engage first. I don’t come there for the staff. I just wear my hat low, music loud and get it done.

People don’t put the weights back in the right places? In a public gym? Say it ain’t so! What’s that? The staff wasn’t available at 11AM on a Sunday without an appointment? Isn’t it intolerable when the entire business world doesn’t cater to your every whim? Reading these other reviews, I’m reminded that the world is populated by children masquerading as adults. This is a 24/hr key-card access gym that has limited staffed hours of operation. Calling ahead to find out what those staffed hours are, or to set appointments for training or tanning, is how life outside of your mother’s uterus works. I’ve been a member since they opened this location and have used the personal training services for 4 months or so(Nikki was great, supportive, and enthusiastic at 3x per week). Clientele leaves you alone unless you engage, and even then I’ve seen nothing but polite focus on their own workouts. Likewise, the staff is friendly if you engage them, but will leave you to your own devices otherwise.

Made the switch to edge a few months ago because of the price, location to my house and work. The gym itself is almost never busy and you can typically use what you went in for and get in a good workout which is good since the gym is small. The weights/dumbbells however look and feel like they are going to fall apart and seriously hurt someone, they are unusable and staff doesn’t seem to care. The cleanliness is poor. When a machine is out of order-it isn’t fixed promptly which is irritating and disappointing that they aren’t dedicated to maintaining the facility. Also, I haven’t been to a gym where other members are disrespectful until Edge. I feel it’s common sense to wipe down the machine after using it as well as removing the weights when you are finished! And if not, post signs or something! Cancelled my membership after only a few months and would Never go back!

I enjoy this gym. I’m able to come in at any time and get to work. my monthly fee is not bad. They did tack on a service fee for using my debit card, without notifying me of the new fees. The staff used to be friendly, enthusatic, full of knowledge. NOW not so much. One guy stares at his computer, the other is sitting on the phone. No eye contact. No hello. I should of told him to get off the computer and tighten up the dumb bells before someone gets hurt. I signed up at a great price. I go in and do my workout. So there unfriendly attude doesn’t bother me. But it might to someone new trying to sign up.

I’m not sure why all the negative reviews. My experience here has been very positive. I had researched the gyms in my area and then went and visited the ones that interested me. The things I found that worked best for me at this gym were that it is smaller but contains all the equipment that I was looking for. The rates are very reasonable and they offered me four free training sessions when I joined. And not having been in a gym in a few years I found this very helpful. I had my first training session with Nikki last Wednesday and she is awesome. She took the time to learn about my goals for joining the gym, and then showed me a couple of the machines to work on cardio. We then went right into a leg workout using both machines and floor workouts. She kicked my butt which is awesome and gave me a workout that I can do on my own. The equipment is in very good condition and the music is not blaring or over powerful, and the majority of the people working out take the time to wipe down the machines after they use them with disinfecting wipes that are available around the gym. This gym also provides free wifi to its members which makes it very nice because I like to listen to pandora radio while I work out. If you are looking for a no nonsense gym that is available 24 hours a day this is the gym for you.

I went in to get info because I was looking at switching due to the location is closer to where I live. They were unable to answer all my basic questions and didn’t seem like they even wanted my business, I didn’t switch.

I signed up before the Henderson location was opened, and had to wait patiently as their opening was delayed. After one year of no problems and a relatively quiet gym experience, Edge fitness increased the monthly fee on my credit card with no advanced notice or authorization. I was told that this is a credit card processing fee and that they have the«legal right» to increase their fees. I was also told that I could pay by check, so then there wouldn’t be a need for the credit card processing fee. I decided to start paying by check to avoid the credit card processing fee, and although Edge Fitness is happily cashing my check they are still charging my credit card. I have tried to explain how double charging me for my membership isn’t quite right, but the Club Manager hasn’t refunded the extra charges to my credit card, yet. UPDATE: American Express refunded my credit card. I didn’t receive any additional correspondence from the club manager to let me know that the charge had been refunded, I just happened to see the refunded amount on my credit card when I checked my credit card account at the first of the month. The club manager didn’t refund my money, they just never responded to the credit card charge dispute, so American Express removed the charge from my bill.

This gym and the tanning department is very unprofessional. I showed up a hour after they opened, 11am. There was NOONE at the front desk. The door was locked and a trainer that was there ignored me. I called another location to help me use my tanning package. They told me they’d find out what was wrong and call me back. They never did! I’m disgusted by the lack of professionalism. Go anywhere else for your tanning needs.

I joined this gym based on proximity. So close to home, no excuses not to go. I like the place, has all the necessary equipment. Clean and not crowded. The drawbacks are that the gym is still trying to get up and running… ie: no interactive classes via internet yet, I signed up for tanning, but wasn’t told it wasn’t operational, etc. I’m hoping those bugs will be worked out soon.

We love Edge Fitness! It is close to our house, and so nice and clean! I can’t wait for the tanning area to open in the Henderson location, we went to check out the Blue Diamond location when we signed up for our memberships and loved it! I am so glad Edge Fitness came our way. The facility is just beautiful, the equipment is top notch. We switched from a big box gym, and we are sooooo glad we did, Edge is such a great gym experience whereas our old gym left us feeling unhappy, we are glad to be super happy now switching to Edge Fitness! Can’t say enough good things, we just love it!

Remember Cheech and Chong’s «Up in Smoke» movie? Hands down, the best, first 15 – 20 minutes of a movie ever. Remember the ‘Keep on knockin’ but you can’t come in!’ line? Yup. That reminds me of this place. I can’t get in! I can’t get in! Since hash tags don’t work on Unilocal here is one: #howdoyoujointhiseffingplace? I’ve been 2x in the last week during normal hours — when they are supposed to have someone on staff — and it’s locked yet a few people are inside working out even though the website says it’s staffed during normal hours. So you know, it’s like an Anytime Fitness deal where members use a keycard. I tried calling, only to discover they do not have a phone. What?! Yup, I had to call the original Blue Diamond/Cimarron store and they gave me the ‘manager’s’ cell. The manager doesn’t have any professional VM on his cell. Just the generic, robotic 80s Speak & Spell ‘please leave message’ thing. So I decided to text this Tyler manager guy — no response. I’m not about to beg to give a business money… While I’m still interested in joining, I have no idea how to and I’d like to walk it rather than just driving over to the Blue Diamond/Cimarron location and just giving them money. I mean — if they are irresponsible enough to NOT have a working phone and at least a professional, responsive way of communication, I don’t really feel good about giving them a few hundy for a prepaid membership. Or maybe the gym is so awesome that I should know better and should adjust my 8 – 5 schedule to accommodate THEIR schedule and make like a doctor’s appointment for a walk-thru. So EDGE, PLEEAAASSE feel free to contact me and let me know the best way to check this place out. I’m looking for a second gym close to home base. :) PS — The Elite flaggers can go to town on this one — especially the ones that look like they were booted off the latest Star Trek movie as an extra because Klingons aren’t that fat. #icanplaypassiveaggressivetoo #donuts4lifeyo
