Desert Endocrinology

Very disappointed with the direction Lichfield’s office has turned. I have been a patient now for 5 years and this will be my official good bye review. Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Lichfield. However, he would have better luck getting employees from McDonalds for his assistants in the front as well as his nurses. They have no urgency or compassion for their patients. I am a type one diabetic, and ALL I asked was for them to fax over release forms to my new endocrinologist, because I am out of state and need insulin. Its been 2 days now and they still haven’t managed to do that or follow up with me at all. I am very disappointed to say the place that taught me about my illness is a place where I refuse to go back to.

It’s 2016 and I have been a patient of Dr. Litchfield since 2011. My condition has remained stable, however that can change quickly. Dr. Litchfield has always been proactive and progressive in his treatment plan, which has kept me on the right track. He’s intelligent, respectful and hard working. I feel confident in his care and can recommend him to anyone, knowing they will also receive the same outstanding treatment I have with him. The staff has been very professional and friendly, greeting me with a smile, very accommodating. In my opinion, there isn’t a better Endocrinologist in the city.

We were clients of this doctor years ago when they made patients wait over 2 hours in the waiting room. Just referred to them again and made the appointment. They were instructed not to call before noon and they not only called at 7:30 in the morning but again at 8 in the morning with duplicate information. When asked if they would be keeping patients waiting 2 hours again they said we cannot tell how long people will be waiting. I told them that if we were kept waiting longer than 45 minutes that they would be susceptible to a fee for our time. To avoid this if they suspect that the waiting period would be longer than 45 minutes they could call within 3 hours of the appointment to reschedule. Seems fair doesn’t it? Should not doctors be held to the same accountability as their clients? They didn’t like that very much. Unless you have two hours of your day to waste with incompetent Medical staff, incapable of following simple directions, find a different endocrinologist. We are. Quite gladly!

If you’re looking for a compassionate doctor or someone who will actually work to make you better keep looking. They never get back to you, never let you meet with the actual doctor and continually put you off even when treatments aren’t working for you. This place is a joke.

Well, from 4 stars to 1 star, and you ask Why? I had my 3 month appointment scheduled for the first week in December. I got a phone call Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving from their office stating that my appointment was cancelled because of my insurance, Nevada Health Co-​Op. I offered to pay cash for my visit and that was not an option. Are you fricking kidding me. I haver never heard of such nonsense.

The Dr. Is amazing however the front staff is incompetent. They somehow cancelled my appointment, then told me someone on my behalf must’ve cancelled it because they’ve never made that mistake before. Really? That’s just insane! Then I finally got my ultrasound done and the tech said she would compare it to the one in 2012. Funny I’d only been there once before in 2015 so did she even have my chart? After I was done she said everything was normal, not what the Dr. said before that’s why I was having an ultrasound. I went to schedule a follow up with the Dr. and the front desk lady gave me an appointment in 6 months. I’m not even a new patient, I walked out with no appointment. What a waste of time and big disappointment!

I have been dealing with hypothyroidism for many years. Lately I decided that I needed to see if there was more that you could do to feel better.
They are very accommodating here, and I was able to get in with an early morning appointment. The staff is very friendly. Lindsey Reynolds, PA-​C really took the time to listen to my concerns. She is very approachable and professional. Great experience at this office.

If I could give a message to the employees of this office, I would say this: You’re job is to deal with human beings and their health. That job should not be taken lightly.
I’ve been going to Desert Endo for over a year now and I’m officially done with this office. I wish I would have read the Unilocal reviews prior to going, it looks like almost everyone has had the same experience as me.
1. The staff is incompetent… they’ve sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy twice (on two completely separate occasions). When I finally got my prescription, it was called in wrong (wrong dosage/​amount). They’ve incorrectly ordered blood work from LabCorp three times, causing me to have to take off work on three different occasions (it’s not easy for me to get time off). These situations all involved human error and could have saved me a lot of time and problems with my work if they did their job. It’s an office full of people who are negligent and careless.
–The doctors and staff simply don’t care about your time or your problems, you’re just another annoying patient. There is no other way to put it. I requested to see Dr. Litchfield the last 2 visits, but apparently that wasn’t possible, so they gave me some woman named Violet. She was over an hour late for my appointment, came in the room and rushed through the appointment as fast as she could. I literally had to aggressively say to her that I didn’t understand what she was talking about and I would appreciate it if she would take my case seriously and explain it all to me.
If you’re looking for individualized and attentive care, find a different endocrinologist’s office.

Dr. Litchfield is good, that is if you ever get to see him… the receptionist always «pushes» to schedule you with the PA’s and if you ask to be scheduled for the Doctor they always say his first available is 2 months out, so if you are not comfortable in being forced to see the PA then go elsewhere.

Dr. Litchfield is the absolute best endocrinologist. His staff is always very accommodating. Tara always greets me with a smile and a friendly greeting. I continue to see them even though they do not take my insurance. They are worth every dollar.

My mom had her second appointment today to do a regular annual blood check. It was meant to be finished before the end of the year since she had met her deductible. I was the one that called and explain the situation (since my mom speaks broken English) so they give me a date in December. We go there only to find out that we need to go to another location to do the blood test and come back again there in January. Why not tell me to do the blood test before I come to your office from the start?
Second appointment today at 3:30. Lindsay, walks in the room at 4:33 for a few minutes (63 minutes late) and read the results and then goes out to print something for my mom to read home. We never saw Lindsay again, not even goodbye. Someone else drops off the print out and we go to the front to pay our deductible. $ 125!!! That’s 35% of the total!!! 2 minutes of Lindsay for total of $ 350. That’s about 3 cents for a second of Lindsay’s time, and she’s not even the doctor!!! Of course they pulled that «I’d like to see you again in three months for another check-​up» card.
This office is the epidemic of what’s wrong with our heath system and abuse these clinics do and skyrocket the cost of healthcare. This is sad.

He’s strictly by the book. Relies on the numbers, no intuitive or investigative thinking.
The modality is medicate, operate or wait to see if you develop cancer. If you want more of a holistic approach, or proactive treatment,
think again about Dr. Lichfield.

I’ve been with Dr. Litchfield at the Horizon Ridge (Henderson) office for seven years. He treats me for hypothyroidism which has been very unmanageable and resistant to the usual treatments. He has been patient and willing to try options other than Synthroid. His office staff has been wonderful to deal with and the office has been very cooperative in dealing with my compounding pharmacy. It takes a long time to get in to see Dr. Litchfield but I feel the wait is worth it. I say this as a person whose condition has not markedly improved. Despite that, in my opinion, I feel I have received great treatment.

I love this office! The office is very clean, I never have to wait too long usually only 3−5mins. The front desk always has been very professional & friendly. The nurse always seems cheerful! Dr. Litchfield is a GREAT doctor! He will ask the questions & do the appropriate labs/​tests that he needs to draw up the diagnosis. Excellence bedside manner very very knowledgeable (one of LV TOP DOCTORS OF 2013) You may have to wait a month or so before your first appointment but it’s well worth it! This Dr has helped me so much!

The staff at this location just take the cake. They are pure rude just unkind so not humble or friendly people. How can they help people with such nasty attitudes its beyond me. How they have a job at all is beyond me. I will never return here.

I just switched practices because of how rude and unhelpful the office staff is. This is by far the worst doctors office I have ever had to deal with. They over billed me by 800.00 dollars and took 3 months to get it back to me after countless calls and complaints. If you have the option to go elsewhere, do it!!!
