I got paired with an agent at Coldwell through a real estate service at my credit union. The first agent, Anne Jackson, was AWFUL. She called me once to get some info, and I really got the vibe that my budget wasn’t high enough to be worth her time. She never contacted me via email or phone.
Once I got that out of the way I asked for someone new and got paired with PAULA ASHTON. I love this woman! She’s so AMAZING. I had a fairly low budget and just wanted to see what I could find. She didn’t treat me any differently than I bet she treats people looking for million dollar homes. She also did not treat me badly despite me being really young (23) and looking to buy my first home… I don’t know much about buying a home and she was so patient with all my questions and made sure to explain every step of the process. She was in constant communication and really could not have been a better agent.
In the end, she found me a house and genuinely seemed as excited about it as I was! During the process of buying, again like I said, she was so thorough in helping me through everything and making sure I knew exactly what was going on. I never once got the sense that she was annoyed with my questions (not that I had tons, but she wasn’t pushy to just close the deal and be done with it). Even after closing, I have been in contact with her with general questions and she remains extremely helpful.
Paula is great and I would absolutely, hands down recommend her to anyone looking for a home in the area.

Melvin Hallerman Coldwell Banker in Las Vegas, NV — This is the worst realtor I have ever dealt with in my life! In fact, if there were a zero star I would give it to him. He is a bully, obnoxious, rude and borderline dishonest. He represented the seller in my transaction of buying a home in Vegas. From the beginning, he misrepresented almost everything about the house. He drew up a fraudulent «comparison analysis» that looked like an appraisal in order to try and convince us his client’s home was worth the $ 100,000 more they were asking than we wished to pay. He is not an appraiser and by law should not present anything like an appraisal to clients. Then he and the seller implied that the sellers had done an extensive remodel of the home and it was «practically brand-​new» when in fact they had remodeled some aspects of the home but «totally new electrical and plumbing as well as new air and heat» were basically a lie (unless 1998 is in the realm of «brand new»). The sellers implied the refridgerator went with the home (both my agent and myself understood this straight from the seller’s mouth) but then took the fridge with them. They listed a water conditioner and filtration system for the home then palmed off a gadget that looked like a thermostat with wires hanging out of it as the water conditioner. It was supposed to keep scale from building up in your pipes but provided no filtration — that would have been the refridgerator if it had stayed with the property! But the worst of the situation came at the time of the final walk through. The sellers took the draperies as well as the automatic pool vacuum. When confronted, this agent had the gall to rant and rave about how unappreciative we, as the buyers, were for even getting the house at the appraised value and we should be grateful because in exchange for the drapes and pool vac the seller had on their own decided to leave for us pictures in the game room of dogs playing poker, a rug under the pool table and two enormous urns in the front yard — all amounting to more than $ 4000 (in their opinion) in exchange for some sleazy drapes and a pool vac! Never mind we specifically stated the drapes and pool vac in our contract. This man had no intention of ever telling his clients they needed to honor the terms of the contract. Finally, this man tried to intimidate us by telling our agent that if we delayed in closing, someone would go back to the house and take everything out. Honestly, I thought I was dealing with Tony Soprano! If you ever see the name Melvin Hallleman I suggest you turn and run! I am considering filing a complaint against him with the department of licensing as I feel he actually encouraged and abetted his clients in breaching the terms of our contract. Take your business elsewhere and shame on Coldwell Banker for keeping such disreputable people in their business structure.

There’s a so-​called realtor that works there. She contacted me about a house being listed for sale. I explained I was making appointments to see the house. She tried to bully me on a price I didn’t see nor had control over. She complained about a cheaper house listed in the neighborhood. I explained it is a foreclosure, (but she knew that) I dislike pushy, rude, liars. She said her husband would be stopping by as they worked as a team. I checked out the site and he is NOT listed with her at all. She said she buys homes sight unseen for investors. I don’t know if she was a flipper or who she was working with, but trying to bully me or anyone isn’t a way to business She called back later to cancel the appointment when she couldn’t get the house at $ 25,000 less than the advertised price. I have the message saved on my I phone. She never saw the house, or made an offer. What a fishing expedition and waste of my time, asking me who I was, did I live there, etc. Do you want to see the house or not? If there were zero stars, that is what I would give this so-​called «lady» and Caldwell Banker. Shady woman. Shady company. P
