Chickasaw Chalet is West TN’s only privately owned and operated vacation cabin resort! We have five 2-​bedroom 1 bath «upscale rustic» cedar sided vacation cabins just west of Chickasaw State Park. Each is has a well equipped kitchen, two queen-​sized bedrooms, a queen sleeper sofa and a single roll-​away bed. Each cabin also has its own four-​person sized hot-​tub on the deck, and a park-​style charcoal grill. All are strictly non-​smoking and no pets and cleaned to exceptionally high standards. If you are looking for a place for a party, this is NOT it! We are a true «peace and quiet» escape!

History

Established in 2002.

The property was orignally constructed by the original owners in 2000 – 2001. The Altman’s purchased the property in 2002 and moved from the Orlando area. Mr. Altman has deep family ties to the community dating back to 1840. Not only is Chickasaw Chalet the Altman’s business, it is their home also! They have worked hard maintaining and improving the property over the years and have developed a reputation of providing exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodations with a strong repeat business following.

Business Owner

Tony has worked since he was fourteen, and became one of the first eighteen year old law enforcement officers in the country in 1975! He worked in three different agencies in FL, then opened a Private Investigation Agency then a Bail Bond Agency in Orlando FL. Prior to purchasing Chickasaw Chalet, he was a Team Manager for Bank One, (Now JP Morgan Chase) in the Credit card unit in Lake Mary FL. He and his wife Julie has owned Chickasaw Chalet since 2002. Tony is active in the community, serving on the Board of the Chester County Chamber, President of the West TN Hospitality Association, on the Executive Board of the Tourism Association of SW TN, the Board of the TN Hospitality Association, Tourism Chair for Chester County, among other activities.
