Hemet 76 Station

A great place to fill up, get a car wash and grab a snack. Longtime owner Harry is a gentleman and promotes great customer service with his employees. Tina is usually the cashier who’s there when I stop by and she’s always so helpful. Harry has a full time guy who just keeps the pumps and bathrooms clean. When I asked him about the bad review below regarding the air tank lack of help he stated that 14 years ago he helped a lady put air in her tires, the. A few weeks later received a letter from an attorney looking for $$$ for over inflating her tires. Since then, he has stopped helping customers fill their tires with air. This is a five star station in my opinion. Harry is a class act. You don’t see that these days. They also sell Propane. Best price in Hemet.

Gasoline, a restroom, and little snacks… That’s all you need in your commute. I’m not reflecting the review off the gas prices because «today’s» gas prices are ridiculous everywhere. 76 does its job.

Well who’s going to write great reviews about a gas station these days I guess, huh?
76 is one of the higher-​priced gas stations, but just adjacent to this location is a Chevron which is even noticeably higher.
So, I come here. All the time! It’s the most convenient location from me, aside from the ARCO which I refuse to go to. Though that may change now.
I was VERY disappointed when I drove hurriedly to the station for air in my tires today, and kindly asked them (with probably an obvious frantic tone) if they could help Miss-​Ditz in putting air in my tire. Afterall, I’ve never done it before. Chances were, I’d screw something up somehow. They said they’re not allowed to. I then replied asking if they could *teach* me how to. The woman’s response was «well if we were teaching you, we’d be doing it for you». I don’t see the logic in that, but so be it.
I rushed out of the store, needing to make a 1.5 hour drive out to the OC and knowing at least one tire was NOT going to make it, and happened to find a man exiting the car wash. I waved him down and he was kind enough to help me. Thank you so much for the help.
I completely understand a) that companies are under potential legal suits all the time so they have measures in place to avoid those things, and b) that I should have probably put air in my tires at some point in my life being that I’m 26 now. But, helping someone out is not a crime. I could have done it myself if I had instructions and guidance. But 76 couldn’t even offer that :(
