Excellent breakfast with a great price. I ordered the french toast w 2 eggs combo and was able to sub bacon for fruit. Filling and homemade tasting. Since we went before 10am it was $ 1 off which made it $ 4.49. Service was beyond excellent and the owner greated and thanked us for coming. Place closes at noon.

Don’t go for dinner! Entrée was not cooked properly. Veggies were fine as was the salad.

Tammy is an awesome hostess. Harvard St. Café is clean and the food is absolutely wonderful. Great staff and great prices. My husband and I eat there almost every week. You just have to give them a try.

With all of the Florida diners on this side of Hemet, Harvard St. Café has a good ambiance and very friendly staff for breakfast, although some might consider the prices a little high. There are some great daily specials and it’s not a chain. Bacon comes very crispy. It’s a good stop before visiting the library or famer’s market.

Went here after walking down the street and seeing a sign that read«Voted best new restaurant in Hemet». It was lunchtime so I decided to check it out. We were greeted with a friendly staff with directions to sit anywhere. There were 4 other tables occupied. It’s not a very big place, but has about 15 tables with a little counter area. The menu is very expansive. Didn’t really look at breakfast but they seemed to have a lot of options. Lunch had the same amount of choices. Sandwiches, burgers, salads, and appetizers. Each category had about 8 options. I decided on the grilled chicken cobb salad. My grandma ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. The food arrived in a good amount of time. My salad was substantial in size and most importantly had warm chicken! I HATE when I order something that has grilled chicken and it comes out cold. My grandma’s sandwich also had a very large amount of pulled pork. My salad was satisfying. I wish 2 things: 1) it had other lettuce besides just iceberg 2) there were other ingredients in the salad i.e. cucumber, carrots… The side that came with the sandwich was coleslaw. It had a bit of pineapple in it to give it some sweetness. Very good! while we were waiting the owner came by and we chatted for a bit. He told us about some of the ohotos that were hanging on the wall. They were all from Hemet in the past. He went around to every table and new some people by name. I get the sense that if I come back often enough, we’d get to know each other pretty well. Overall, the food was good, service was great, and the price was under $ 20 for both meals and a drink. Plus, it’s in the small historic area of Hemet. I wasn’t expecting fine dining. It was exactly as I had anticipated. I will gladly come back when I’m in town again.

First thoughts, wow what an old building. Ordered the Baja shrimp cocktail expecting large tiger type shrimp loaded with Avacado and cukes. What I got was blah! A little bigger than salad sized shrimp granted there was a gob of them in my cocktail but still were talking baja. The cukes, tomato and onion were too finely chopped. I didn’t ask for a salad shrimp relish coctail. The avacado was 3 – 5 large slices laid on top. So not that great not to mention it was served at room tempature. My kiddo’s turkey club had a lot of turkey piled high with crispy bacon, served with large wedge fries that were the frozen kind. No fresh Kennebec potatoes here! Service was scattered maybe because they are new. We had to ask for flatware and hunt down some salt. But they were nice enough. $ 18.24 kinda high considering I didn’t get a beverage, but whatever. I doubt we will be back, it’s really not worth the drive from the west side. Steve’d burger is across the street and that is a gauranteed good date. Yes different kind of food but it’s about being satisfied. The owner asked what I thought about the food, I was honest which I felt he wasn’t happy about. He said he couldn’t sell a 10 dollar app in Hemet to upgrade the baja shrimp cocktail. So if it’s not a real good quality authentic food item and you can’t sell the real deal, TAKEITOFFTHEMENU, problem solved.
