Big Daddy’s Famous East Coast Cheese Steaks

This place is amazing their peper cheese steak just melts in your mouth, then add the peper relish to kick it up a notch. It is one of the best sandwiches i have ever had, and the staff is so incredible nice and welcoming, oh and the owner is larger then life personality makes you feel like family

We wanted something different for lunch today so we headed to Big Daddy’s to see for ourselves if what we heard about the food was true. Keeping it simple, we dived into a couple of absolutely delicious original cheese steak sandwiches with crinkle cut fries and sweet pepper relish on the side. In a word: Terrific! Ample portions that arrived piping hot with wonderful friendly service. Superb location. Nice jazzy background music. Clean and comfortable. We will return to try other menu fare: I’m curious about the other meats.

Great food with friendly service. Reminds us of what we ate in Philadelphia which is the home of cheese steaks.

Had a classic cheesesteak and fries. Five minute wait for food and it came out steaming hot! The meat was tender and juicy, bun was fresh and the fries were perfectly done.

We first discovered Big Daddy’s a year ago when they were cooking up their amazing cheesesteak sandwiches at the RV Park we were staying at. We immediately made note of where their funky little restaurant was located and visited frequently while in Hemet. This year, they were our first stop upon arriving in Hemet again. I love cheesesteak sandwiches and Big Daddy’s is the BEST BY FAR!!! Buns are baked fresh every morning and the flavour of the meat, cheese, onions and seasonings is AMAZING! Can’t possibly get any better. Love, love, love them. Service was great and Big Daddy is both sweet and entertaining. Thanks… already looking forward to having it again tomorrow when they come to our RV Park.

THE BEST Philly’s around, we always get them when we’re in town to see family and are never disappointed. Service is great, food is great, you need another location near us!

The brisket was fantastic. All of the meats were actually. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the lack in choices for the sides, which aren’t that great.

Me and my husband were passing through from Palm Springs and came across this nice, clean and very friendly spot we found on here! If you are ever in the area come check it out, the have the best cheese steaks around!!! I had the original cheese steak and my gosh was it delicious, my mouth is watering just typing this! We also had the chili cheese fries BOMB. Pictures don’t do justice just come on in and get anything on the menu you WON’T be disappointed!

The best sandwhich I have had in a very long time. Hubby and I have been looking at this place for a while but always think about it once it’s too late and they are already closed. Read a lot of good reviews. We finally caught them and let me tell you it was worth the wait. The nacho cheese on the sandwhiches just put the icing on the cake. We had the original with chili cheese fries. It was fairly priced for the quality of food and the girl at the counter was very sweet and even gave my daughter a sucker. Nice little family owned business! We will def be back.

Ok, so I happened upon this place a couple years ago, while getting my car washed. I am so glad I chanced on walking in here and eating.
Its small inside, and the owner and his wife are pretty much always working, «Big Daddy» is loud and hilarious. The service is always top notch.
Onto the important part: the Cheesesteaks. Holy ****! This place is amazing. I’ve been here maybe 3 dozen or more times by now, over the past while, and the steaks are always amazing. I will go out of my way, sometimes up to half and hour to get a cheesesteak here! The Pepper Cheesesteak is to die for! But the Lebron is also too good, like, really too good! This is a Cheesesteak with Spicy Italian sausage ON TOP! They also do the Cheesesteak in a lettuce boat, which is great (no bread, keeps it low carb, if that’s your thing)
I’ve been to a lot of cheesesteak places in Southern California (Never been to Philly unfortunely) and this is on my short list.

The food was excellent! Their was a very welcoming feeling when I walked in. I order the cheese steak original and a burger, both were delicious. I think the price was very fair for the quality they served. I will be coming back again!

Upgrading to a 5. Rock solid quality cheesesteak no gristle melt in your mouth, high quality ingredients.
And the service is consistent outstanding. Please support this quality restaurant. Not much else in Hemet to compare to. Not much else in the Inland Empire as well.

It was tiny place, don’t get me wrong small can be great in some cases, but it felt crowded

But other then that, this place is solid

I wish I could rave about this place. It is good for being in Hemet BUT I am used to the Philadelphia sandwich company in San Diego (moved from convoy st. to miramar area.)

So coming from always going there to trying Big Daddy’s it was kind of a down grade and a let down in that sense. But for anyone who hasn’t tried a real big tasty juice mmmm Philly cheese steak then they will love this place in Hemet,
I do think if they went a little bigger in size and portion and more flavor it would be a bigger hit like how it is in different cities and states and maybe a better choice in bread. I also think they should have some kind of hot sauce not just the peppers. That’s just my opinion.
I have come here 2 times.
[The first time I came here and ate which was when they first opened… I saw the owner’s wife bring their yorkshire terrier dog into the back where they are cooking and preparing and that’s also what threw me off in really liking the place. I didn’t think that was sanitary or professional.] and my sandwich was pretty skimpy on everything and this is was my first impression and experience I had.

The original cheese steak with peppers… OMG. Best cheese steak I’ve ever had by far. And who knew it would be in Hemet? Gotta love when that happens!
I’ve been in here a few times and everything so far has hit the spot. It’s a great family owned business that cares about what they do and they also care about their community which we really need more of here. They are always super nice and food is top notch. Hubs and I usually split their fries since their sandwiches are plenty and it works out great. They have old school root beers here too which compliment the cheese steak great. My favorite part of the sandwich was when the cheese was all melted (and it’s real cheese which I love. not that fake crap). They do not skimp on the steak portion which makes me a very happy person.
Definitely one of our new faves places in Hemet and love supporting the small businesses and family owned joints. You won’t be disappointed!

Walked in and greeted right away by a friendly cashier. Then greeted again by a Big Daddy himself. He’s a hoot! Best guy ever! Friendly, and adorable. Like your favorite uncle!
I ordered the pepper steak because I love red peppers. I would normally omit the onions… Yes… Even on a cheesesteak. But all the reviews made me decide to go for it. So glad I did! I think my eyes rolled back in my head with the first bite. Halfway through, I was so full. But there was a party happening in my mouth and I couldn’t let it end.
I so wanted to get a photo with Big Daddy and knew I should have asked while he was chatting with us. But he had to take a call and we had to leave :(. I will so be back… If I find myself near or in Hemet again!

We went to a movie today over in San Jacinto and decided to grab lunch in the area. I’ve had this place bookmarked for awhile. I’m always nervous trying out new places with this part of my family because I did have one time that we ended up in a terrible situation where it wasn’t pleasant. Thank God today was just what we expected and more! First off the lady that waited on us was as kind as it gets. She loved watching my daughter dance to Ray Charles next to our table. The music was mostly Big Band 40s which I absolutely loved. I’m definitely an old soul. They had a Titans helmet in there which made me excited even if it was the Temecula Titans and not Tennessee.
They had the Italian sub and a side of fries. Both states probably the best Italian they have ever had. The fries tasted fresh not like old oil fried fries like some restaurants. You can tell they cared about quality.
Me? Well I can’t go in a cheesesteak place without getting cheesesteak. The chicken cheesesteak was amazing. If was fresh bread quality like Jimmy Johns fresh. The chicken was perfect and a huge amount. The cheese was fresh. They have this pepper relish you can get. I put it on my sandwich. Really good!
They had cheesy grit stix. That’s right fried cheese and grits? Shut the front door!!! I came from Missouri where we fry everything from bologna sandwiches, Oreos, pickles, cauliflower and anything else we can get our hands on. If you can batter it, we fry it. These were so good. They came with a smoky mayo like dip.
They have a Rootbeer and Mexican Cola they sell along with soda and bottled water.
Small sitting area, but great staff! Will definitely come back.

Another day in hemet. I found a cheese steak place and I was happy. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. The cashier was super friendly and courteous.

I went with the original cheese steak and crinkle cut fries. Everything was really good. another little gem in hemet that id be down to go back for.
Its located right off Florida ave in a small plaza with a car wash place. If you’re ever in the area give it a try!
