Properties By Maykin

I relocated to San Antonio in August 2015. After talking with 2 – 3 apartment locators who were little to no help, I was reluctant to take a recommendation to call Maykin. I can’t tell you how thankful I am that I made that call. Maykin asked all of the right questions to develop a short list of properties that she felt would meet my needs.
I only had one morning to look at apartments, so time was limited. Maykin met me and my wife at the first apartment on time and prepared with more detailed information than the apartment complex had. A showing of an apartment with Maykin is like no other. She commands respect from the staff and is more knowledgeable than many of the workers. After a couple apartments (that she drove us around in her personal vehicle) we looked at the one I ended up leasing. It was her top choice, and I couldn’t be happier with her/​my selection.
My overall experience with Maykin was nothing but positive. She seems to really care about her work and was very accommodating. I highly recommend her if you are looking for an apartment in the San Antonio area.

I was referred to Maykin (rhymes with bacon) from a colleague who had a good experience with her. I was living three hours away from San Antonio and needed to find a good apartment within my budget and close to my work. A week before I went to San Antonio, she gave me a list of 12 places that fit my requirements and let me choose which ones I wanted to see. The day before I came, she checked rates and availability with the apartment complexes to be sure about the prices.
When I arrived in San Antonio, she was flexible with meeting times because I wasn’t sure when I would get out of a meeting. When we met up, she showed me both one and two bedroom places within my budget, and gave sound advice when she thought an apartment complex was charging far too much for the quality. I have never rented an apartment before so when I asked questions that probably seemed silly, she was helpful and didn’t mind answering them!
When a handful of complexes (three in a row!) were more disappointing than we originally thought, she proceeded to call a handful of others that originally weren’t on my list that she knew I’d like after meeting with me. We ended up negotiating a great deal in a renovated apartment complex that would have been out of my range had I not trusted her. I’m so thankful for Maykin’s personality, persistence, and help during my time of transition!

I have used Maykin twice already. Maykin is absolutely wonderful. My first time using her, I was living out of state and needed a place to find relatively quickly on a REAL tight budget. I told her my specks I needed (2 bedrooms etc) and what my range for my rent would be. One of the things I like the best is that Maykin did A LOT of the leg work for me looking for a place to live. She printed off a few places and she even drove me to some of the places in horrible San Antonio traffic (and after living here in San Antonio I can tell you THAT is customer service!!!) She even got me discounts with the apartment (like military, preferred employer, medical, etc) and was able to ask for specials and I saved A LOT of money and time using Maykin.
I also used Maykin again for my next apartment and I could not be more thrilled with the area I will be living. My dogs are thrilled that they got a dog park within the apartment complex (Maykin knows who the real client was in this situation!). I will be saving over 100 a month on rent. I don’t think I would have gotten the same deal if I walked into the place without any knowledge.
But what I really like about Maykin in her enthusiasm, her wanting to get you in the place that fits you the best. Her heart is in the right place and that gives her a leg up in the real estate world. She has an ability to build relationships that last a lifetime especially with rental properties owners/​managers. If I could give more stars I would. If I ever need to move again, I will be calling her first!
