Lucca’s

Seriously… closed at 8:30 pm??? With half the restaurant still seated??? Very disappointing.

Overall this was a great experience. The service was impeccable, and the food was on point. Only slight missteps (needed seasoning on the amuse bouche) were mere whispers to the overall experience. It is so refreshing to have a restaurant focus on the experience of a great meal and not just follow the most profitable trends. I travel around Montana, Wyoming and Colorado for work and therefore I eat within restaurants more than I eat at home. Unfortunately restaurants are beginning to fall within a rut… and Lucca’s is bravely bucking this trend! I highly recommend them!

This place was very disappointing. First of all, the service was terrible! The wrong food was brought to our table, we didn’t get our beverages until almost the end of our meal. The food might have been semi palatable if it wasn’t sitting there for 15 minutes, while we had someone else’s order. Lesson learned, never again

While I always love lucca’s food, I don’t always love their vibe. Tonight the creepy dude, that drinks wine in the corner and seats people, had a low profile. It was great! Tonight, the highlight was the food and the wine. Erika was amazing, recommending food and wine. It was a better experience than normal!

Best restaurant in Helena for sure in my opinion. Maybe one of the best I’ve eaten at anywhere! It’s our go to place for special occasions.

I have been to this restaurant several times and each time I keep finding the place wonderful. The service as always been excellent and the food is outstanding. Every time I have eaten there, the food is the excellent quality I would expect to get in a large city such as Chicago or San Francisco.

I really wanted to love this place. I made reservations from Seattle two weeks in advance. The service was impeccable. The wine list was decent. The amuse-​bouche, bread and salad were delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses were not amazing. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was dry and uninspired. The risotto was a over-​salted. All-​in-​all it was a good dining experience, but a bit underwhelming.

At the end of a long travel day, we checked into the Holiday Inn and Lucca’s was recommended. It was on the same block so we walked over in less than a minute. Tina was our server and she was wonderful. The bread was great and we particularly enjoyed the sun dried tomato butter. We split the bow tie chicken Alfredo after we had this absolutely amazing salad. Tina mentioned it was made with a cucumber dressing. We even splurged on dessert because everything was so tasty. My partner had the tiramisu which he raved about and I had the lemon «pudding». (I can’t remember the correct name.). It was light and lemony with lemon zest. Chances of us being back here are extremely slim as we live in Maryland, but we would come back again if we lived nearby. This has been our best meal since our trip began 8 days ago.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Best dining experience in recent memory. My wife and I split the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and the New York Steak. AMAZING! Everything from start to finish was beyond outstanding! Our server Nici was an absolute rock star! Knowledgeable, out going and super friendly! I’m no foodie so the fact that I’m taking the time to post this should tell ya that Lucca’s is an must!

I wish I had the young lady’s name who served us the evening that we went, because she was wonderful & created a perfect evening for us both. The food was incredible & the service just added to it. If anyone gets the opportunity to experience Lucca’s for an evening, please do so! You will never be disappointed!!!

Fantastic menu and wine list. Great service and atmosphere. Not geared to families. If you want a night out with a friend or significant other, with an amazing dinner, this is the place to go!

The service was poor. Waitress was inattentive. The food was mediocre and over priced. I could not finish the Italian Sausage C. was too salty too eat.

One of the best dining experiences in Helena. The wait staff, atmosphere, and FOOD was superb. It inspired one of the best tips that I’ve given in a while because my wife and I loved it. Worth the price! The chocolate decadence was out of this world — honestly some of the best dessert I’ve ever had.

Fine Dining as good as it gets. Very attentive, informative wait staff and host! Reservation is recommended but not necessary. We were in for a treat the moment we arrived. It was more than 2 years ago that I dined there and the experience left an impact that made me search for this place and review it. So, its definitely something that is worth the $$$! What makes this establishment A-​One is the coordination between the kitchen and the wait staff. They know everything about what is going in your dish and what wine to pair it with. I just love the orchestration of beautiful food flowing on the table!

Can’t speak highly enough of Lucca’s. Ray is a fantastic and inviting host. Taylor has been a professional and great waiter. Excellent food and wine selection!

Called in for a last minute reservation ;30 minutes! We jumped in the car, and zipped right over… We were graciously greeted and seated right away, our server was informative and helpful yet not too chummy; «the best kind of server»! An amuse bouchée to start in Helena Montana. Ok I’m impressed! An interesting compilation of cantaloupe tarted up with a limoncello extract and crisp pancetta mounted on top. Wow! My wife had the sausage and wild mushroom risotto, and I had the special rib eye steak with, I gotta admit. Some of the most incredible sautéed shrimp in a spicy cream sauce, perfectly cooked; I wanted more!

Best restaurant in Helena by far. My only complaint is that they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays and my hubby and I both had birthdays that fell on days they were closed. Amazing wine selection, bread from park avenue, food is outstanding and service is superb. Always our first choice for a special occasion.

My husband and I took his parents out to dinner on Saturday night while they were in town from AZ. Made a reservation just two days prior with no problem. (Left a message and was contacted shortly after with confirmation of time.) We were seated right away and the Gloriousness began. We shared the cheese artichoke dip that was Delicious and then the four of us had manicotti, lasagna, swordfish and scallops with shrimp. Everything was Divine and our server was top notch! Ended the evening with tiramisu — Wow best in town! Great wine list and full bar is available from next door.
Must try!

Best restaurant i have ever been in. May be Helena’s only five star establishment.

Horrid experience. Treated like crap by the pretentious door man. Walked out before we could order. This is NOT a friendly spot to visit. Plenty of other great choices in town luckily.
