Cahaba New Media has produced news for Associated Press Television, CNN and MSNBC; feature stories for PBS; has received the American Red Cross-Alabama Community Outreach Award for a video produced about natural disaster preparedness; and co-produced three documentaries which have won awards at film festivals and were broadcast on public television. Cahaba New Media produces television spots for the television series Discovering Alabama, and web based spots for AT&T Yellow Pages.
Cahaba New Media also directed live video production of the University of Alabama-Birmingham basketball, baseball and softball games for web streaming.

Cahaba New Media producer/director Tommy V. Wier has over twenty-five years experience in the development, production and post production of television programs, promotions and web videos.
He has produced news for Associated Press Television, CNN and MSNBC; feature stories for PBS; has received the American Red Cross-Alabama Community Outreach Award for a video produced about natural disaster preparedness; and co-produced three documentaries which have won awards at film festivals and were broadcast on public television. He produces broadcast spots for the public television series Discovering Alabama, and web based spots for AT&T Yellow Pages.
He created and directed courses such as Television Production I & II, and Leadership in Communication Management as an Adjunct Instructor for the Communication Studies Department at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He produced and directed live video production of the University of Alabama-Birmingham sports for web streaming.
