My boyfriend and I were staying in a cabin nearby and decided to drop by since we passed it multiple times on our way to hiking trails. The place is fascinating, they crammed thousands upon thousands of knick knacks in two stories. I walked around very slowly to ensure I didn’t knock over the rickety bookcases filled with colorful glass. I did find some old film cameras, all looked pretty beat and upon looking at them closer I knew they weren’t in working condition, the price tag? 95 $ whaaaat? I found someone’s old quilt that looked unwashed and it was $ 70. There is some cool stuff in there but the place is pricey. I found a regular blue umbrella for $ 17. An umbrella you could find at Walmart for 5 bucks… anyway we walked out empty handed.

Very nice and well maintained store. A lot of amazing items! I really enjoyed hunting for treasures there.

Always worth a stop when in town because you never know what you’ll find. There is stuff everywhere. Wander up and down three floors of treasures that probably came from your Aunt’s house. Never boring…

I typically don’t visit Antique shops, but we were here and it seemed like a good idea to just check it out. There were fun things to check out, and I would have loved to find a 1976NC license plate to put on my C3, but no such luck. What I did find… some old Hess toys I didn’t have in my collection, SCORE! So, what to expect? 3 floors of everything in an old house with a spacious attic — it’s kind of like a flea market of old stuff, as well as SOME newer and modern items. The help is friendly. Oh, and if you’re looking for the potty, it’s not here… one must go to the winery for the public restrooms.

I am deeply upset that I have to write this review on Nacoochee Village Antiques, mostly because I have family living nearby and I have been to this shop many times and have bought a few things there and enjoy making stops every time I visit my family and want to help support the local economy. But I will NOT patron this business ever again. I was ripped off 65.00 for a circa 1900 manual coffee grinder that broke after only 4 times of using it and NO I was NOT hard on the grinder! When I was looking at this manual coffee grinder my partner was skeptical that it would be worth 65 dollars and asked if we could test it out before buying. The shop keeper said they don’t allow testing items before purchasing. I was a bit upset about the storekeeper’s rule but my partner wanted to be sure it worked(for 65.00 knowing it is old and used that seems reasonable) The shop keeper called the dealer of the item to verify w/him that it worked. The dealer said it worked fine. We took his word and bought the grinder. The shop keeper handed me the shop business card and asked me to send her an email to let her know how it worked. Within two days my partner and I were back on the road heading on the rest of our cross country trip. A week later when we were camping up in Vermont I tried to grind some beans and the grinder ball began rotating with the direction of the handle. I was really upset. Being on the road for some time I had no way to contact the store via email until I had a chance to find the card and get on the Internet. I ended up waiting until I got home to email the store. What really angers me is I have no idea how to fix this antique so I guess I just get to stare at it and be infuriated that I paid so much money for an item I cannot use. In early August(1 mo. after purchase) I emailed the shop and got no reply. I again sent another email a week later. A week after that I called the shop and there was no answer so all I could do was leave a message. NOTHING. Not one word. If I weren’t across the country I would be in that shop demanding a refund of my money. I have owned my own gift shop and have had a customer or two contact me and have replaced items that had broken or been defective. I have always been a fair-minded and responsible business person and at the very least responded to a customer who had an issue w/a purchase. This business is not worth patronizing and I would recommend shopping elsewhere.

This is a great place. You never know what you will find. The staff is friendly and they have a nice cat. We stop here at least once a year.
