History

Established in 1962.

Indian Mound Eye Clinic (IMEC) was started in 1962 by Dr. Thomas Brannon. Dr. Heacock joined the practice in 1976 and continues to provide excellent eyecare solutions to his patients and and the Central Ohio community. The practice has grown and Dr. Craig Wolf, Dr. Janine Flood and Dr. Jennifer Davis are now also providing you the highest level of vision care and eye health services.

Dr. Heacock attended The Ohio State University in pre-​optometry on a swimming scholarship. He graduated from The OSU College of Optometry in 1973. Upon graduation, he spent three years in the Air Force. Dr. Heacock married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Blaser. They had two daughters, Christy and Angie. The Heacocks moved to Heath in 1976 to join the Indian Mound Eye Clinic and its founder, Dr. Thomas Brannon.

Dr. Heacock has been a clinical instructor at the Ohio State University College of Optometry’s contact lens clinic on his days off. He has been a clinical investigator for hard gas permeable, soft tinted, astigmatic, bifocal and extended wear lenses. He is a diplomate in the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry. He is also a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
