I would definitely recommend Kristen Miller, as your wedding coordinator, if there are couples with their dates set. My wife was in charge of everything when we started to plan our wedding in Petalum, due to my business trips to here and there I could not be there all the time. That is when my wife first met Kristen, as our wedding planner and I finally met up with her a month prior to our wedding. I felt sorry for my wife that I couldn’t be there to support her when we were supposed to do everything together. After I met up with Kristen, she ensured me that I did not need to worry about anything because she was there to help my wife. My wife told me that Kristen is so energetic, supportive and fun to work with and she was the best of best. Guys point of view, we don’t know anything about details, especially when it comes to a wedding. There are so many things that all the brides want, and my wife was so happy that Kristen made it all possible. We had a perfect wedding and unforgettable moments.

Alison Weese is the absolute best! She made my wedding day so seamless and wonderful, I dont know what we would have done without her. I have nothing but amazing things to say about her– She made my wedding day perfect. She was so on top of it, by the time it came to the actual day, I didnt have to think about a thing!

Monica Stickley from So Eventful was my planner and I can not praise her enough. When I first decided to get married in Napa, I was worried about being so far away (I live in LA) I knew I needed a planner, I called a couple of different planners and they were not eager to help. When Monica called me back, I knew in seconds she was my girl. The entire time, her goal was to make my event special. I always felt like a priority. My Future husband called her our «wedding quarterback.» Not only is Monica the nicest person I’ve ever met, she always went above and beyond.
Here are a couple examples: Day before my wedding, my sister’s dress did not arrive from Rent the Runway, Monica took it upon herself to drive to Nordstrom (over an hour away) to get her a dress. She recommend all my vendors, from cake to flowers and every suggestion was perfect. The actual event was flawless, she got my vision and made the venue look even better than I could have ever imagine. Monica was worth the cost, knowing I didn’t have to worry about the slightest detail, she always had it covered.

I have nothing but praise for So Eventful! Early on in wedding planning process several friends advised hiring a day-​of coordinator. Given our small wedding and tight budget, I brushed off those suggestions. And then my anxiety took over, and my fiancé and I decided a day-​of coordinator was more than worth the cost! Marisa worked closely with me up front to customize a package that worked for our needs — we had planned our entire wedding, we just needed someone to execute everything day-​of.
Meghan was our day-​of coordinator, and she was amazing. I was just so thankful to have her, but seeing her in action during our wedding validated the value in having her. Instead of running around like a crazy person the day before and day of my wedding, I was able to enjoy time with friends and relax a little before the main event! I couldn’t have done that without Meghan.
No matter how good you are at planning or type a you are about your wedding, it really is impossible to do it all — especially during the week of your wedding. You want to be able to enjoy yourself, your significant other and your guests. Do yourself a favor and hire So Eventful!

Ashley and So Eventful helped make our out of town wedding on the remote NorCal coast a great hit! With a very busy work schedule, I relied heavily on Ashley for vendor recommendations and planning and she was incredibly responsive. She totally understood what our taste was and her vendor recommendations were both spot on in terms of vibe and quality provided.
Ashley was also with us the day of (and the day before) the wedding. Everything was perfect — pretty sure thanks to Ashley, since I didn’t have to worry about a thing and everything moved according to schedule. The vendors that were recommended were amazing. I really expected that at least something little would be wrong at the wedding, but from start to finish, ceremony and reception, it was all perfect.

So Eventful is amazing. I have to say the best thing I did during the wedding planning process was hiring So Eventful for a full coordination — they truly are the best in Northern California, especially if you’re having a Wine Country wedding like I did. Marisa and her team are well-​established in the area, they know EVERYONE from vendors to site planners. If you have a vision, they will make it come to life. If you are still working on your final vision, they will know exactly what and where to recommend and will work with you to figure it out, every step of the way.
For my wedding at Solage in Calistoga, Marisa and her team paid attention to every single detail. Marisa accompanied me on site visits, helped me pick a venue, secured room blocks, handled EVERYTHING with the vendors, and worked with me to determine the vibe I wanted for my wedding (which wasn’t easy, I had lots of ideas!). Every moment of my wedding was clearly thought-​out, from the timeline to the ceremony musician to the cocktail table décor to the lighting. Everything was beautiful and taken care of, exactly what you want on your wedding day!
Marisa is reliable, smart, organized and creative — I didn’t have to worry about a thing and if I had a question, she was always very quick to either call me back or respond to my email. She’s always on it. I can honestly say, I wouldn’t change one thing about my wedding — my vision came to life and I could not have done it without the help of Marisa and her team.

LOVE LOVE LOVE JESSICA KERNS from So Eventful! When my fiancé and I met her at Starbucks in Petaluma before our wedding, we knew immediately that we had to have her coordinate our wedding. She was bubbly, upbeat, smart as a whip and really knew her stuff. I didn’t look or interview any other coordinators! Since we were getting married at The Meritage in Napa, she has done SO many weddings there– I knew that she knew the ins and outs of the venue, the venue coordinators, etc. I already had most of my vendors chosen and didn’t need a ton of help finding vendors so Jessica helped us choose the package that best fit our needs. She is a WEALTH of knowledge and had a ton of good suggestions for us when we needed them. When I had a problem with the first photographer/​videographer that we hired, and needed to break the contract– Jessica seriously took care of it. Her services were basically paid for just in the amount of money that she was able to get back for us from that horrible vendor!
The girl seriously sleeps with her phone on loud next to her– she is ALWAYS available to talk, text and email, even when you are being a crazy bridezilla. She has the ability to calm you down, talk you out of horrible choices, and has the best eye for detail. Like I said I already had so much chosen already but Jessica really helped us put it all together, She collected every single one of our contracts, contacted our vendors separately to touch base, and the day went smoothly without a hitch. If something went wrong, I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT IT! Which is the way it should be at your own wedding. So Eventful’s slogan really is true-​be a guest at your own event!
I can’t speak higher of Jessica– she sent me an adorable Christmas gift of a personalized calendar and stickers with reminders and due dates on them plus a great tote bag. So thoughtful and personalized. She not only is a true professional in the wedding planning industry, she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She has become a true friend who I see often and talk to pretty much daily. Our wedding has come and gone but Jessica isn’t getting away from me any time soon! ;P

My husband and I are so thankful for Monica S. of So Eventful! After initially meeting Monica over coffee at Oxbow Market, we knew she was the perfect fit for us — sweet, upbeat, calm, and organized. We asked her to be our day-​of coordinator and she not only delivered, she gave us more than we expected!
Right off the bat, her job was made challenging by the fact that we are a busy east coast couple. She was always charming and warm in her communications and thank goodness for her timely reminders, emails, and phonecalls. My husband and I worked with Kaela for day-​of coordinating at our wedding. Kaela made sure we did not have any worries on the wedding day and took care of everything. She did an initial site visit where she got a feel for the property and for what we wanted. She was there coordinating the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner as well. Kaela was organized, creative, reliable, and extremely calming. We really got to enjoy our wedding without any worries whatsoever.

i truly can’t say enough good things about marisa and so eventful. i just experienced the most amazing weekend of my life and i have marisa to thank for making all the crazy ideas in my head become a reality.
i initially discovered so eventful on Unilocal and did a quick «interview» with marisa + a few other local planners. while all planners seemed qualified, there was something about marisa that stood out. i instantly felt like she was a friend — a hyper-​organized friend who knows how to throw an insane party.
she’s laid back, but gets shit done. she’s funny and can take a joke, but also knows when to jump into «adult supervision» role. she’s full of creative ideas, but is great at listening to what you really want and quickly course corrects if she feels things aren’t going in that direction. she keeps you on track, listens to feedback, makes sure every last detail is perfect — all while making you laugh.
i truly would not have changed a single thing about my wedding. if anything went wrong, i sure as hell didn’t know about and neither did any of the guests. marisa recommended amazing vendors and was happy to provide more if we didn’t find the perfect one initially. she was on-​site for our big day to take care of every last detail. she didn’t bat an eye at my bridezilla moments and truly brought a calming presence with her.
if all goes as planned, i’ll never need another wedding planner ;), but i hope i have the opportunity to work with marisa again. in the meantime, i hope everyone reading this review gives her a call — i promise you’ll be happy you did.

Marisa listens carefully, responds thoughtfully, and has plenty of experience (in the trenches, where it counts). Her knowledge of the field and her connections with other vendors and service people all worked to our benefit. She is amazingly generous with her time and attention. Regardless of the intensity of activity – and there were tense moments, Marisa always exhibited grace under pressure, and was always on top of the situation.
Plus, she’s fun to be with, and is a genuinely decent, funny and kind person. She won our hearts early on, when she corrected a major major problem. A small thing I forgot to mention, I too produce events, while my outward approach is very friendly I am über discerning and demanding on the inside. Long story short, we had a great wedding celebration at a great price, with happy wedding memories. Even after the event, which went very well, she still asked for areas she could improve!

Pilar M. was a godsend for our recent wedding in Healdsburg, California (Healdsburg Country Gardens, 150 guests). She was everything you want a wedding planner to be: someone who listens, isn’t afraid to give her honest opinion when she has helpful knowledge to lend, sends helpful reminders when you have a lot going on in your life, and anticipates your needs. Her job was made more difficult by the fact that we were planning from across the country, but she took the time to get to know us as a couple through many phone calls and face-​to-​face meets (when we were able to swing by California). Her knowledge of the local vendors and wedding do’s and don’ts in general proved tremendously helpful and saved us many hours of research.
It’s hard to explain the immense satisfaction that my wife and I felt on our wedding day when we arrived at the venue and everything was as we imagined it would be. I’m not sure we could have achieved this result without Pilar — or, at the very least, I’m afraid to know how much work it would’ve taken to achieve the same without Pilar. Pilar also proved to be really helpful on wedding day. It’s such an overwhelming moment emotionally that I know my wife and I really appreciated having someone there to think about logistics. Pilar really took charge and kept things in order without ever disrupting the moment or making it seem like she was commandeering us (or our 20 person wedding party!).
Bottom line: Pilar was as good of a teammate as you can ask for. She was an integral part of our wedding and we’re so happy that she was there to help celebrate with us.

Monica S. was our wedding planner for an intimate wedding at Farmstead in St. Helena. She took the time to really understand the mood and experience we wanted for our wedding. I wanted décor that would be romantic and classic while having touches that were uniquely «us.» This is where Monica really has a gift. She focused on all the little details that made our wedding unique and special. We were planning our wedding from the other side of the country and it was a blessing to have Monica in CA shopping at antique fairs to find just the right elements to make our event perfect for us.
In addition to really bringing together the look and feel of the wedding, Monica was tremendous at problem-​solving at the last minute when the forecast changed to rain. A tent was way out of our budget and so Monica redesigned our wedding in less than 24 hours to be inside the event room. I still really wanted to have the ceremony outside and so an hour before we were supposed to start, when the skies had mostly cleared, she called to tell me that she would make it happen. The outdoor ceremony was just what we hoped for. I was a little worried about what we would find when we moved inside for the reception but to say the result was beautiful would be a dramatic understatement. She decorated the room so that it was romantic, intimate, and most importantly, us. When we walked in it felt like the wedding we were meant to have.
Monica also offered special support and consideration for helping me find ways to feel like I was including my deceased parents in our wedding. I wanted a way to naturally include and honor them. She set up a special place for a photo of them. And when she came to bring me out for the ceremony she talked me through my feelings of loss so that I could enter my ceremony optimistic and focused on my future with my partner. What a gift.
I highly recommend Monica if you are looking for help with your vision and wedding design, special personal touches, and emotional support throughout your wedding planning process.

We simply adored working with So Eventful and especially Pilar Mustafa for our wedding!
