Description

Specialties

Traditional Chinese Medicine, (TCM) including acupuncture and herbal medicine, is a safe, effective and gentle way to access your body’s innate ability to heal. Most people initially come to me for a painful condition such as low back pain or headaches. While under my care, patients often mention other troubling symptoms that are simultaneously improving such as insomnia, indigestion or menstrual irregularity. This is because TCM seeks to restore balance in all the body’s functions. When balance is restored everything feels better!

In addition to any type of musculoskeletal pain, I have also effectively treated patients for seasonal allergies, asthma, chronic fatigue, infertility, menstrual conditions, irritable bowl syndrome (IBS), insomnia, anxiety, immune support, side effects of chemotherapy & radiation, post surgical recovery, morning sickness and even colds and flu.

History

Established in 2004.

I have been practicing in Healdsburg since completing my Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University and receiving my state license. I have been providing acupuncture and herbal medicine to my patients to soothe pain, cool hot flashes, conceive a baby, end headaches, quell the side affects of chemotherapy and radiation, place in a marathon, nip a cold in the bud, sleep soundly, remain calm and focused under stress, rehab from surgery and just to feel better ever since.

Lucinda K.

Business Owner

My name is Lucinda Kotter and I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc). I hold a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Five Branches Institute (now Five Branches University) in Santa Cruz, CA. I studied acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage, and Chinese nutrition. I also hold a Diploma of Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

I was raised in southern California and have a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley where I studied forestry and environmental justice. After graduating, I worked in forestry and habitat restoration. Inspired by the results I received from acupuncture treatment, I decided it was time for a career change and began my graduate studies in TCM. I have been living and practicing in Healdsburg since 2004.
