History

Established in 1925.

Nathan Antokolitz began selling furniture in Pottsville in 1925. Since then, Nathan’s has grown into a Furniture & Mattress Superstore, offering the guaranteed lowest price on quality home furnishings, mattresses, and accessories. Nathan’s now operates a giant 65,000 sq. foot showroom and distribution center in nearby Hazleton, just twenty-​five miles north of the original Pottsville location. Nathan’s Furniture & Mattress Superstore has become the premier home furnishings store in the area, offering the best selection and prices and service on the top brand names in the business.

Ian Lipton L.

Business Owner

The hardest working man in the business, Ian Lipton can be found at Nathan’s 7 days/​week, and is always available to speak with if you’ve got a question or need assistance. In addition to being a Professional Member of the Interior Design Society, Ian Lipton is an expert sketch artist and has been designing room layouts for customers for nearly 40 years.

Mr. Lipton has achieved the highest honor of being named Retailer of the Year by the National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA).

Mr. Lipton has also been named Retailer of the Year by the Tri-​State Home Furnishings Association (TSHFA), as well as Business Man of the Year in the City of Pottsville.
