At Tarrell LiveScan we roll your Fingerprints when an employer or organization requests employee, or volunteers to be fingerprinted. LiveScan is sometimes referred to as a background check. Your fingerprints are taken by a computer and sent to the DOJ and/​or FBI. Results are sent to, the company or organization, requesting the fingerprints, or you, if you are requesting a record review of your fingerprints. We do fingerprint cards, and ink, if you need this service, and we officer Notary Public services. Evenings, Saturdays by appointment.

History

Established in 2015.

When I retired, from California State University, East Bay, where I was the Live Scan Custodian of Records, I opened Tarrell Live Scan. I wanted to provide a local office for Live Scan, fingerprinting services, needed to obtain employment, certifications, licenses, and for those requesting to review their own criminal record. More employers, and laws are requiring Criminal Background Checks, known as Live Scan. I also capture fingerprints on cards, with ink, if you are required to be fingerprinted with that method. I am a Notary Public and can provide that service.

I was born in Hayward, CA when the population was 15,000. Today our population is approaching 150,000 residents. I worked at California State University, East Bay for almost 20 years. The last job I held at the University, was the Live Scan Custodian of Records, where I worked with DOJ and FBI obtaining results of Live Scan, fingerprinting. I found many people are required to be Live Scanned, by state law, for employment, certifications, licenses, and others want to review their own criminal record. I want to help people obtain the services they need locally, timely and as inexpensive as possible. I have been a notary public since 2006, and also offer notary services.
