Sunrise Donuts

I’ve been coming here for YEARS! Some of the best donuts in Hayward. Every morning it’s always packed. Donuts are nice and sweet and their smoothies are tasty!

Just went to get a half dozen donut holes omg when were these made? Last year?! They looked so good too .I guess looks are deceiving! Never again!!! I will stick with donut express…

Sunrise is in a very small strip mall with little parking.

This place used to be pretty legit, I used to come in there quite frequently (about 3 times a week) not for just donuts but they also have sandwhiches, bagels, beverages, and tamales etc. The donuts are pretty tasty; nice and fresh and has a wide variety. This place is owned by a couple and the lady thats in there the majority of the time is a sweetheart, with great customer service, However her husband completley makes me not even want to go there anymore, he is the rudest, most bitter, just nasty individual with horrible customer service. I dont know what is up his butt, but it sure makes him unhappy with that stern look on his face. I dont even have a Unilocal,but after him being a jerk to me and treating me like complete crap for no reason makes me want to create a profile and spread the word of how much of a nasty person he is, when I have done nothing to deserve it. And by the way I hope he is reading this, because he needs to realize that you cant treat your customers like that, esp regulars. Other than him completly ruining my experience everytime i see him there the food is pretty good and afordable, i would recommend going there, but if you see the bitter guy working behind the counter RUN! Jus kidding but dont say i didnt warn you ;) And btw This hasnt just happend one time, it happens everytime i see him, which is about once a week.

The only place I know of that gives you a choice of filling for all of their raised round donuts. You can have a choice of raspberry, lemon or custard in their chocolate covered, glazed or sugar donuts. It’s the little thing that separates them from the others.
I’ve been always meaning to stop by there, but tried it for the first time today and I am sold!
