Hi I am Dr. Gerald SooHoo. I was born and raised in the East Bay (Castro Valley). I attended University of California at Berkeley for my Biochemistry Undergraduate Degree and from there I went to Dental School at UCSF (a top Dental School). I have been providing general and cosmetic dentistry services since I took over my father ‘s dental practice (who also went to CAL and UCSF). With extensive experience, I have been caring for patients in my Family Dental Practice since 1983.

I am a member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. I have been attending many hours of continuing education to stay current with the latest and best dental treatment options for my patients. Unlike large corporations and volume production-​based offices, I take time to do dentistry to ensure my patients with healthy smile and comfort. I encourage preventive dentistry and advise my patients on present and future foreseeable dental problems. I believe that you will benefit from the dentistry I provide and look forward to meeting you, your family and your friends. Our practice exists to serve the community and make a difference in positive ways.

Besides spending a lot of time with my family, I am a Sunday school teacher, a member of Castro Valley Rotary and a Red Cross blood donor. My hobbies are tennis, boating, water sports and gardening. My favorite places are Yosemite and other National parks, Disneyland and Disneyworld
