The course layout is nice. Has a good mix of short and long holes, but this course is in really bad condition. You can hit a perfect drive right down the middle of the fairway and could still end up on a dirt patch or a bad lie. Played on a Saturday and wasn’t informed that there was a temporary green. No signs and it was still full price. The pace of play was okay until the back 9. Called a Marshall over because the group in front was slowing down the pace. He was nice enough but told us to not assume how far back the group was. I understand a time frame but you also have to keep pace with the group in front of you. So what if it’s going to be a 4.5 hour round. It takes away from the experience if you’re waiting after every shot. The foursome in front of them were 2 holes ahead of them and it started to bottleneck behind us, yet these guys were staying on the greens practicing their putting before heading onto the next tee. Way too many hackers in jeans, regular tennis shoes and t-​shirts. Safe to say I probably won’t be playing this course again. Definitely not worth $ 55 on a weekend in its current condition and definitely not with a temporary green.

Pace of play was excellent on a Thursday. The foursome in front played quickly. I played the front 9 in 1.5 hours. I paired up with a golfer on the back 9 who shared that weekends are very busy & a round can take 6 hours so I’d probably play elsewhere on the weekend.
Great value! Tuesday & Thursdays with a cart is $ 27.50! The course itself has wide fairways & some water hazards.
The fish sandwich at the restaurant was good & it’s always a plus when Sriracha is available!
I’ll definitely be back for another round.

This course has a lot to offer as I came for my 3^rd outing here. Lush fairways and greens even though we were in a drought, great drink prices, excellent food, and quick pace of play*** (ill get to that in a moment).
Booked via Golf Now for 2 some at 3:45. Get there at 3:30 and the guy lets us get a cart and roll out to first tee. There was a 4 some teeing off as we were in the proshop and a 2 some behind them (walking) then my lady and I.
We finish up the first hole and get to the 2^nd where the group of 4 are now in the middle of the fairway and the 2 guys walking are already done putting and teeing off on the 3^rd. That is cool, no problem we can wait a few moments.
After about 10 mins of waiting, we finally tee off and complete the hole and the 4 some are just getting to their 2^nd shot. Finish the 3^rd hole and get to the 4^th and we are stuck waiting for them to hit their 2^nd and 3^rd shots. They kept running back to the middle of the fairway and my GF and I just hit our tee shots before saying «F-​this lets skip past». (For the record, we gave ourselves Par on this hole as a gift for waiting so long).
It was at this point I was wondering if there was a Marshall out on the course trying to speed things along because in the past, we have had to wait and wait and wait. But to no-​avail, I did not see a single Marshall the entire round.
Fast-​forward to the end of the round. We are changed and driving out of the parking lot along the 17^th tee where we see the same 4 some we passed just teeing off.
We could not believe how slow they were playing. If possible, please please please have an extra marshall roaming the course. Also, a drink/​food cart would be a great addition if it is busy enough.
We will be back!

As I am now only live about 5 miles away I am playing here much more.
Always easy to get a tee time, actually just showed up as a twosome at 10am on a Sunday and got on in 5 minutes. Fairways in good shape, greens are good, tee boxes good shape. The only thing I wanted was a beer cart. other than that no complaints.

great place for practicing drives. it’s wide. good up keep for drought year, since they are using reclaimed water. if there’s no one here, you can finish in 2.5 hours.

Our first time here. Hubby and I are branching out. Playing at various courses in the greater Bay Area.
Flat, wide, and long. That’s how I like my golf course. You could do a push cart but at $ 55 for two people with an electric cart weekday price, that’s the way to do it.
We had a foursome. Kept up with the group ahead of us. The only time it bottled neck was at the short par 3’s.
The course is located next to a private airport. Once in awhile you’ll see a private jet taking off right above you.
We’d come again given the opportunity.

With the new Maintenance Director, Putting Greens have been improved, rolling – It’s not Augusta «The Master» but the crew have done well and clean the Fairway. Price is decent specially for locals and on weekdays. It’s a 18 hole course, plays long from
the back tees, tree line fairways, flat and walkable. There’s a deal on Tuesdays and Thursday’s for 2 golfers with a cart. They have driving range, practice putting greens and short game with a bunker.

This course pro shop has horrible customer service. I play here today and paid $ 42, I had a group of four ahead of me that refused to let me play through. After 9 holes it started raining, I decided to stop in the pro shop and let them know and find out if I could get a rain check. The lady in the pro shop with a nasty attitude tells me I cannot get a rain check, and her solution instead of sending to Marshall out to the group ahead was that I should skip a hole and go around them… what the… I paid to play 18 holes like everyone else… I will never play this course again!!! So unprofessional, I understand if the policy is no rain check, but the course should enforce simple rules and etiquette of golf. Drainage on this course is also horrible and they still charge full price.

Played here for the first time yesterday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated that. As for the greens, they were ok. Nothing to get excited about. I figured that the biggest reason to play here is the price. For twilight rate, we paid $ 35 with a cart. The pace of play was good and we finished in about 4 ½ hours.

It’s difficult to be positive about this course.
I guess it is relatively affordable for a Bay Area course so that is a positive.
It’s an 18 hole course with a driving range.
The course is in ok shape. Greens were actually solid.
The course needs some help though.
The most negative thing that seemed to be a pattern was that groups were skipping holes, jumping around. It got annoying and awkward. This happened when we played here before as well.
I might come back but only at a discount.

The golf course is in good condition and the greens are getting better. The greens used to be atrocious. One day I came to play during the week and the grass on the greens were nearly as long as the fairways!
The last few times I have played the greens have been rolling much better but still play pretty slow. The rest of the course is in good condition except it can get very wet and muddy after it has rained (more so than other places I have played).
The practice facilities are a joke and get no loving. If you want to go to a course to work on your game at the driving range/​chipping/​putting green then definitely go somewhere else.

I been here twice. both time were a good experience. good food, friendly atmosphere, good wait staff!!! My brothers golf here all the time!!! Nothing bad to say.

I had the pleasure of playing this course when there hadn’t been a drop of rain in the last couple months, so it was fairly dry. However, the apparent drainage problems on the course are pretty noticeable, there were still some muddy areas in the fairways and in the rough, even with this much dry weather recently. BUT I have definitely played WORSE courses, so I wouldn’t complain too much. Course has a small driving range too, which can be good for a quick warm-​up before playing.
Almost all of the holes are dead straight, with plenty of trees, so you need to be straight off the tee to have a good round. I got a good deal through
($ 32 with a cart on a Sunday) so I was content with the price. The course was not too busy either, so it could be an attractive option for first-​timers. Not too long, par 72, soft bunkers, greens are slow, but are maintained well. I would play here again for the price I paid, but probably wouldn’t pay much more for a round on the weekend.

I come to this course to only work off the tee and approach shots. Any chipping or putting work around the green is an attempt at futility. You may as well putt with your driver.
This is a sub-​par muni goat track that is good for practice. As soon as you knock your ball on the green, add 2 to your score, grab your ball and walk off. It’s not worth trying to putt on their fur carpet. It will just make you a worse golfer on better courses.
But if you’re looking for woods and iron practice only, the price is worth it.

4 stars as it is a bargain to play here and I am all about saving money and getting a good deal. $ 25 for 18 is a great price and the golf course is fine to play on. It is not fancy but I like playing here. For casual fun golf, this place is great. For business or fancy golf, this place wouldn’t fit that bill. The carts worked well and the lady working the bar was enthusiastic.

Can’t beat the Tuesday deal they’re having for $ 25 bucks with cart. Also, the restaurant inside has some great deals also. $ 5 for meat balls over potatoes!
The only negative about this course is the putting greens. The grass seems to be a tad long which causes all the balls to be roll unevenly. 5 stars is still awarded for the friendly staff and affordable prices!

This place has HORRIBLE drainage. So if it has rained in the last 7 days, don’t bother coming here. At least I was able to test out the waterproofness of my shoes.
Grass is hit or miss, kinda like my game. Its not the worst kept grass, and its no where the best either.

Golf should be uplifting and fun. This course is neither: Bad greens, ugly houses, ratty fairways, just not pleasant. I golf here maybe once or twice a year just to remind me to not golf more. I know that does not make much sense but I keep giving the place a chance and it never improves.
I know its cheap but it does not seem to have any pride in management. Chabot got better, Monarch got better, etc. So did Metro.
This place is a showcase in mediocrity. Boring up and back layout. Uninspiring. I leave anything out?

First off, we got 2 people, green fees, and golf cart for $ 27 a person, which is pretty sick (it was even cheaper than golf now, check sky west website for its own specials).
We arrived late by about 30 minutes to our tee time, and they didn’t make a huge deal out of it. Teed off with 3 people in front of us, but we never caught up or got passed over by the people behind us. They do a good job of making sure groups are spread out.
Greens are nicely maintained, you can tell they constantly move the tee off spots to keep the grass fresh. For me, as a beginning/​intermediate golfer, the yellow tees are already difficult enough. You’ll find some 400 yd holes, a couple of Par 5s, a good amount of Par 4s, and a few surprisingly difficult Par 3s on the course. The back 9 are a little confusing to navigate, but we ended up finishing in just under 4 hours. Water hazards and sand traps aren’t too prevalent here, so don’t worry so much about losing your strokes or having to drop. There’s a decent amount of trees though, so I spent a good amount of times using punch shots to get out. Not much elevation challenge either, so I was pretty happy with it too.
Overall a solid deal and a good course, long but flat greens, with a GREAT price. You can even get 24s to take with you on the course.

. Neither of us have ever played or been to this course so we didn’t know what to expect.
When I arrived at the pro shop to check-​in I saw that the putting green, adjacent to the pro shop, was in a terrible condition. I assumed the worst. Surprisingly, though, the greens were in pretty decent shape. However, the bunkers needed to be stripped of weeds and foreign debris and the fairways needed a trim to get rid of all the daisies out there. Otherwise, the course didn’t play too bad.
What’s cool about Skywest Public Golf Course though is that it’s situated next to the Hayward Airport that houses a bunch of cool older looking aircraft. I saw a WWII aircraft fly by as I was hitting my drive off the 11^th tee. Pretty nostalgic and pretty cool!
When I went to post my score I saw that that Skywest offered unlimited golf for the month of May for only $ 139. Seven days have already passed for the May month but the deal was to enticing to pass up. Besides, if I have the day off I’m able to play 54 holes or 3 rounds in one day. Yeah! I love golf! I’ll get my money’s worth for sure.
Skywest also offers great hot links, burgers, and hot dogs at the patio area (I assume only on sunny days) from their restaurant, Skywest Restaurant. Their restaurant is pretty chill, and on Fridays & Saturdays btwn 3−8pm they offer 5 Spanish tapas and sangria for only $ 19.99.
