I give this 2 stars… Here’s the reason… I was referred to this place by my dad because he told me it was $ 55 flat, for a star test. I called this place (on a Friday afternoon) and they confirmed it was in fact $ 55 flat for my car to be tested. The guy also told me I could also receive another $ 15 dollars off if I showed them a coupon off of Unilocal for a star test ($ 40 total). I go into this place (on the following Saturday morning) and tell them I need a star test. He tells me it’s $ 65. I tell him I was told $ 55 and he goes ok, $ 55. Then I tell him about the coupon and he goes oh no it’s a star test so that’s why it’s $ 55. I get my smog done and I show him the coupon (which in reality says $ 30 off but I would of been fine paying $ 45 for) he takes only $ 5 dollars off. I understand that these guys need to make a living but why even have the coupon (or mention it) if your not going to honor it? And why did he say $ 65 when I walked in? And 2^nd a lady who came in after me was served before me. I thought this place was a 1^st come 1^st serve? This irritated me and is why I’m leaving a 2 (and this is me being nice)…

The second I walked in I was acknowledged. I was here for maybe 20 minutes. Comfortable seating and was able to study. Good care and very accommodating. These guys are genuine hard workers.

Got my smog check first thing this morning. Fernando got it done quickly and efficiently in less than 20 min. They have a video playing and magazines in the waiting room if you need entertainment. Certainly recommended!

This place is so quick, just read all the Unilocalers reviews and decided to come here, the tech is nice and no attitude, he also took our coupon with no problem. Quik Smog really lived up to it’s name.
Left the house on a Saturday morning at about 10 am and told the wife I’d be back in about an hour.
Drove in about 10:05 am (literally 5 mins from my house). Spoke to Owner (George?) (Sorry forgot his name!) and Laura. Asked if they would honor THEIR coupon from THEIR website! (I have been in a situation where company did not honor their own coupon citing expiration of coupon when coupon had no expiration date printed on it). Quik Smog said «Absolutely!»
I was back home by 10:28 am! Passed and everything!
The thing is, a lot of places gave coupons and the price was still high (i.e. $ 75 Off from a place in Castro Valley which I did not go to because whoever is charging more than $ 45 for a Smog Test is ripping you off, esp if they offer a $ 75 discount with coupon!)
$ 30 for the test + $ 8.25 for the DMV Cert + $ 1.75 for Electronic Transfer Fee = $ 40 FLAT!
Great customer service (even if the owner is a Raider’s Fan!), fast, courteous, and professional staff, and record time spent in establishment.
After I was done, they gave me more coupons to use and pass out to family! These guys definitely have a loyal customer now!

I took my car here yesterday. The owner was great. I first saw the deal on groupon, called and asked if he’ll honor that rate without buying the groupon and he said yes. So when I went in and checked in on Unilocal I noticed a little better deal. Asked him to honor it and he was very kind about fixing the price again. My car was about 8^th in line. So we went for a walk. Came back and watched a movie they were playing and within a few simple minutes we were done. Very nice crew. Very nice owner! I’ll be back for the next smog!

Good and fast service. Staffs are very friendly. The shop is pretty busy. Fortunately I made an appointment in advance.

I’ve been bringing my cars here for smog checks for several years and have always received good service at a reasonable price, and the Unilocal discount coupon saved me $ 30 this time.
All the employees seem to be hard workers and even in the hottest of weather with no air conditioning they still manage to be polite and courteous. Not an easy feat after a long day.
They definitely meet all my expectations when it comes to SMOG check services:

Fast easy on a Thursday afternoon. I only spent 40 dollars to smog with their Unilocal coupon. They also offer 1 free retest if you fail your smog. Overall it’s 79.95 for smog make sure you use the Unilocal coupon for 49 bucks. The staff her Fernando was really helpful and he also informed me how long it’ll take etc… I will be coming back for my next smog return.

Why 5 stars? Fast service, dropped in on a weekday with no wait, the technician is courteous and the lady at store front greeted me when I came in… Most of all, smog passed and good to go. Will definitely come back again.

Great guys and got me in fast! Called the place the guy gave me directions and guided me to his location. Pulled in and he greeted me, then pulled my car right in. No hassle no issues no waiting forever.

This place is good, I’ve been taking all of my cars (3) to this place for past 3 years. People who work there are always friendly and professional. I took my RAV4 for SMOG today and I was in and out in ~20 minutes. Great price too.

Just like it says «quick smog test». Took their technician only 15minutes to smog checked my car. Highly recommend this place to anyone. They have good deals on Unilocal

I don’t drive as much, so, my car ends up sitting in the garage for at least 5 days out of the week. To make sure I get all the ‘dust’ out of the old engine, I drive it around prior to getting a smog done. Does that help? Who knows, as long as I pass, right!!!
The customer service was friendly, the service was quick, the Unilocal check-​in provided me with a discount, and most importantly, my car passed the Smog inspection.
