Law Office of Cristin M. Lowe

i was looking for a lawyer, saw a great review here on Unilocal,and contacted this office. i heard back from cristin in less that 2 hours (on presidents day no less) to my initial request with what seemed an enthusiastic lawyer with some great questions about my situation.
i then replied 30 minutes later (midday) with solid answers to the questions as well as repeating my initial questions (which still hadnt been answered) and proceeded to wait a whole week (and 2 followup inquiries) before finally getting a response that said due to death in the family and other illness she was out of the office and hadnt had even enough time to send the most basic response (including an autoresponder? nothing? c’mon people…).
ok, fine, terrible things happen to good people, but apparently she doesnt have enough support staff to take care of even the most basic business while she is out. to me that says she is either in super-​high demand and doesnt need to be too focused on future business, or doesnt have good people around her keeping in contact with clients, either of which to me are enough of a warning signal to take my business elsewhere /-:

I had to interview an attorney for school and tried calling around to a bunch of random offices, only to get shot down time after time with lots of rude people or no answer at all. I was offered a free consultation at some, only to be asked to leave when they found I wasn’t interested in giving them business. Finally someone told me to go to a clinic in Martinez and interview the attorney there. So I went, sat in on the lecture about how to file for divorce on your own, and it was actually interesting. Cristin was leading the clinic and was funny, entertaining, and interesting to listen to. And I actually learned a lot from just being there cuz she took what seems like a mountain of paperwork and scary stuff and made it easy to understand and totally doable. Everyone after the lecture was trying to talk to her, and I waited until the end when they were trying to kick us out of the courthouse. As soon as I mentioned I was doing this for school, she gave me her card, told me to call her office and make an appointment to meet with her and she’d be more than happy to help me out.
I called in, the phone got picked up immediately by one of her assistants, and got scheduled on her calendar. Her assistant actually knew what I was calling about since Cristin had warned her ahead of time to expect me. Her office is awesome! I guess they rotate chocolate up front in the reception area, and I got lucky with Ghiradelli chocolate squares. She also offered tons of different Keurig coffees. Anyways, she was very down to earth and a real person. Plus she actually remembered who I was and why I was there. You hear about how crazy divorces are, but despite the phone ringing off the hook the entire time I was there, everyone was happy and helpful. If she was that nice and available to me, plus from how nice I saw her being to the people in the clinic, I can’t imagine how great she is with her own clients. Oh, and the email I got 2 weeks later checking in to see how the assignment went? Icing on the cake!
