I call first and order on the phone for pick up. I spoke to store owner and told it would be ready in 15 minutes and when I wake to the store after 15 minutes it was ready. The guy was very nice, professional, and very friendly. The place is very clean. The only problem is that you can’t sit there and eat there. There is no tables. It’s very small. The pizza taste great. I wish I had order a bigger one. Anyway try for self. You will be very satisfy

Love this place. Best pizza! For those that also love it, they’re now called Pizza Stop. Same everything, just without the Howie’s branding.

BEST. PIZZA. EVER! They never my order wrong and it is FRESH!!! I especially love when the delivery driver warns that it’s hot… So it’s definitely the little things this company offers is what makes it BEST. Now the pizza… OHMYGOD. Best in Hayward hands down! You ever see a movie where a kid will take a slice and you’ll see the cheese stretch dramatically? Makes you hungry right? well it’s safe to say that kid was eating a Hungry Howies pizza! The cheese is Amazing! The meats they use are NOTICEABLYFRESH. I’ll keep ordering from Howies as long as I’m a local! Definitely a great place. The owner/manager is awesome too. If you order from them like once a week, he Weill start to notice and he will give you a fat discount for being a loyal customer. That’s what I like! He’s awesome! Always go with Hungry Howies!

Mm you know what! It’s just a pizza, nothing special about it. I prefer other delivery shops for better food

Their manager should be fired. He has no concept of customer service. I called to order the grad party package which is 4 large pizzas 1 topping and he argued with me over the price. I received the deal through and email earlier in the day which priced them at 6.50 each total of 26dollars he said no its 29 dollars and that’s what the price is. He didn’t care about what we had to say, and just wanted to argue with us we asked for a manager and he said he was the manager, well I’m not ordering from this location again if their manager is that much of a douche then why would I buy their pizza

My first and last time at hungry Howe’s I tried the calzone steak cheese and mushrooms it was a horrible bread sandwich with no steak in it. The manager Steve made it his self also collected the money while wearing the same latex gloves he use to cook with He was very rude and once you order he will tell you how long for your order and does not want you to stand there and wait for your order. I can only imagine how bad this store needs to turn a profit but this is ridiculous. My friends please pay attention to what I am telling you. This Hayward location on Mission Blvd should be closed down by the health department. Be careful peace to you. Again pay attention. My rating not even one star.

I have never experienced a place where everyone is so happy and nice and everything is perfect!!! Try going to the local Pizza Hut or dominoes and you are treated like crap and pay tone more money. This place is awesome!!!

Pizza was alright. The crust was kinda floppy and reminded me of Papa Johns a little bit. The flavoring on the crust was pretty much nonexistent, I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasnt looking for it. For a place where flavored crust is the gimmick I was kind of surprised. The service was efficient but very unfriendly. I won’t be coming back.

I have to say I was really excited to try this place out after seeing the other pictures people post and reviews. Decided to try the gluten free Cajun flavored crust. What I ended up getting was a thin crusted burnt piece of cardboard. See picture posted. I looked in the box before leaving asking if the black edges were normal, he said it’s not burnt that’s just the Cajun. I took his word. 45 minutes later all I can taste is burnt crust.

So i was hanging out by the pool in my apt. complex when my friends and I got hungry and order 2 large pizzas from here. Pizza came sooner than expected. The delivery guy was really nice. Pizza tasted good/as expected. The flavored crust is really nice. The reason for the 3 stars rather than 5 was because they didn’t offer the moz. cheese or papers on the side. When I asked why they didn’t bring it with the pizza I was told that we need to request it over the phone or we wouldn’t get it… Bummed me out because I didn’t know that and thus wasn’t able to fully enjoy my pizza… would consider ordering again… just need to remember to request the sides…

Been a fan of Hungry Howie’s for many years after experiencing them in Florida. There is one every block in Florida and they are well known. This is the lone Howie’s and we finally made a detour while traveling to grab a pizza. Pizza was good as I remember. Manager was friendly. Location is a bit odd, but I think that is a franchise requirement! I would return. So many crusts to try!

Individually owned with awesome deals! $ 10 gets you a pretty good sized pizza with your choice of toppings and customizable crust. Food is great and quick and friendly service too! Only problem is you have to take it to go. I’ll definately come back and try out their non-pizza items!

This the first time I had their pizza and I have just one word… AMAZING!!! The flavored crust is out of this world(and at no extra cost!), and don’t forget about there specialty pizzas!!! We had the Howie Maui w/the butter cheese crust… Delicious!!! And we got a 2 topping w/mushrooms and bell peppers and there garlic herb crust… Heaven!!! Oh I almost forgot we also got the Howie bread which was also amazing.

When tailgating fell through we ended up coming here… BESTDECISION. We ended up with a mushroom pizza, flatbread with hummus and the chinese chicken salad. Mushroom pizza was amazing– tons of thinly sliced mushrooms with little visible cheese. Hummus came with thinly sliced radish and a dose of EVOO. LOTS of flatbread! The salad was also delicious(you can get the salad without chicken for you veggie heads which is what we ended up doing). All three were winner winners! Service was on point and the bathroom was clean. A great find!!!

Oh Hungry Howies, how I Love your pizza. Ive missed it for 5 years, since moving to the East Coast, but now Im back and Im coming back to you. Pizza is always great, however, Delivery. SUCKS. I placed my order for 1 pizza and Cheese sticks at 11:10am, Its now 12:32pm and no PIZZA. When I placed the order, the gentleman said 45 mins. SO when I called after 45 mins, and you told me she was on her way here. I felt relieved. But now, 30 mins after that. Still NOPIZZA. Step up your Game HH.

All these really bad reviews had us avoiding Hungry Howie’s for years, even though it’s conveniently located near us, it’s cheap, and we eat pizza weekly. A couple of the worst reviews have come from my most trusted Unilocaler friends, so that sealed the deal.(However, these reviews are 5 years old… for what that’s worth) Then, our local elementary school served up some Hungry Howie’s pies at an event. And my evaluation was a surprised, «Hey, this doesn’t suck at all!» Since then, we’ve ordered Hungry Howie’s for our pizza night several times. The service we’ve received for ordering and pick up has always been friendly. We like the flavored crust. While the pizza is not among our top five favorites(Zachary’s, Amici’s, Pizzaioli), it’s certainly enjoyable. And a lot easier on the wallet. If you’ve been avoiding it like I had been, I say give ‘em a try. It’s only five bucks.

Apparently, NOTHING beats the Hungry Howie’s Pizza in Michigan. But I’m nowhere near Michigan. And I’m sure as hell not planning a trip out there anytime soon. Which leads me to this location. Hungry Howie’s pizza is some of the best I’ve had. The flavored crust, though nothing novel, is genius! My friend called in an order(salami and feta – not on their menu) and the guy was more than happy to accommodate, with no extra charge, whining, or complaints. When we got there, he knew our order before we spoke up, and served it up with a smile. We ate the pizza right there in the parking lot. Could you blame us? We even fogged up the windows, if you know what I mean. …Because the pizza was hot and it was cold outside, and the condensation… nevermind.
