Got a same day appointment for late afternoon. Parking is tight and the place is REALLY small with a sparse «waiting area» but having the entire smog test take 20 minutes AND only $ 50? OUTSTANDING! Really fast service and my 4 p.m. appointment was done at 4:21p.m. Will definitely use this place again! FAST and accurate service!

I come here every Tims I get my smog done. The guys here are super chill, laid back, but very professional at the same time. Bring a jacket the waiting room will most likely be cold but they have a TV, PS2 and radio for your enjoyment. I’ve never had to wait for very long anyway. These guys are awesome!!!

The service was quick and the results are good. They give you one free retest within 30 days and that was a wonderful treat. I recently replaced my car battery and had no idea that the OBD system (computer chip) will be reset and that it won’t be ready for smog test unless I drive it around for 200 miles.
As you can tell, my first test failed, but thanks to the free retest, I still got to pass the smog check in the end.
TIP: the place is one way only. So when you drive in, be mindful of other cars parked there. And as such, you will have to back your way out when the test is done. If you are not skilled in backing out onto Mission Blvd, you should not go to this place.

Great job to the Hayward Smog Test Team. Wasn’t too busy so they took me in right away. Literally gave me a clipboard and by the time I was done filing it up they were already done with the Smog Check. Also checked in and saved me $ 15 bucks. Only thing is hard is backing out into busy Mission. But its all good though, great company all around.

My appointment was short and sweet. The attendant was helpful and professional.

I called a head of time because we were in a rush to get back to DMV. The guy said he had just one car ahead of us and could take us right away. We got there, and the guy was super friendly and professional. We were in and out there within 10 – 15 minutes. Great service!

Quick service even though i just popped in on a weekday rather than appointment. Waited approximately 20 minutes, played a little playstation 2 to kill time. They have a few games, and also have dvds available, in addition to being able to watch regular tv. Came here initially for

OK, only bad thing today was that he was an hour late opening up the shop… But I was in and out in 20 minutes (and it gave me time to go to Hippie’s Brew and grab a cup of coffee)! So all is forgiven. He’s always friendly and pleasant. And you’re in and out so quickly that you can still do whatever you gotta do with your day. I will continue to come here and recommend to everyone.

Im not a fan of bringing my car in for any maintenance-​type work but my visit today to Hayward SMOG Test Only was a great experience. Vinh was able to squeeze me in despite not having an appointment and the whole process took less than 15 minutes. Pricing was straightforward and the service completed promptly. Wished all of my maintenance visits were as easy as this. Will certainly be referring the homies as I will be back for my next smog tests.

I’ve been here twice now and it’s been great! I called the day of and the the man on the phone was very nice. I had the option of making an appointment or just coming in, so I opted to do a walk in. In 10 minutes or less I was done and out the door! I definitely recommend this place, fast, convenient and really nice service!

I took my 2001 E430, that 2 other shops told me the car wouldn’t pass, to John at Hayward Smog. Needless to say he took care of my car and passed with flying colors. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. There was no miscommunication on price nor services rendered. I know where I will be going for all my future smog services. I recommended this Shop because it exceeded my expectations. For the few naysayers, you must be tripping. Get off your pedestals and come back to reality.

The free retest within 30 days saved my butt. I had a bad sensor and I just did the ghetto thing and restarted my ECU to pass but ended up failing my test.
I fixed my check engine light and my car passed with flying colors.

I’m not too good with words so I’ll just say this: I keep coming back and I’ll keep coming back. Have you noticed the multiple check-​ins? Let’s just say I’ve come at least once, per car. The other times I don’t check in, it’s because in have the printed coupon.
It’s a hard spot to find right off the bat, but it’s worth it (at least in my opinion)

I’m new to the area and my tags are expired, been expired, haven’t been pulled over yet, don’t plan on it, so I came here. The hours are good enough for a procrastinator and the guy that helped me was pretty hot.
There’s a cool little set up with couches and a TV, so u can relax while ur getting the smog check.

This place saved my life!!! Yes I did procrastinate and it was a Sunday then realized that my tags were expired and due to my work schedule I would not have time to get a smog during the week and be a fugitive from the law.
Well anyways, I desperately searched for smog stations open on a Sunday and this one place was open. I arrived at 11am and was out by 11:20 and I could not be happier. I want people to know that this place rucks and the guy was super nice.

Just got finished getting my E60 smog tested. The shop is located on Mission between Carlos Bee and Harder. It’s a fairly small shop and I can foresee it getting somewhat packed. I called ahead of time and he told me there was only 1 car there so I booked on over there. Just be careful when you pull in… make sure your car is completely off the street so that you don’t get rear ended.
The guy helping me out was super chill about everything. I asked him if I could get my tires pumped up and he was showed me the compressor, but couldn’t find the part that connected to the valve stem. He was looking around the shop for a bit, but I told him it was cool.
I was in and out of the shop fairly quickly and I got a discount with the Unilocal check in. This is probably the fastest smog check I have gotten and this is including all the shops I went to in Orange County/​Irvine. The only part that is left for them to do is to make sure the certification goes through to the DMV so as long as that is taken care of, they get an A+ in my book.

I called for an appointment and I arrived on time. Sure enough, Vinh was waiting for me.
I didn’t have my DMV registration paperwork with me and I thought that would be a problem, but Vinh said no problem at all! My car was done in 10 minutes!
Unilocal check-​in gave me $ 15 off! He had a credit card machine that accepts debit or credit (via First Data Bank terminal). Vinh seems to be very tech savvy, so I am hoping he would upgrade to an iPad that accepts Square or PayPal. No biggie. Service was great and quick!
