Favorite Indian Restaurant

Damn good buffet. The restaurant looks nicer in the inside. Mango soft– serve ice cream is a bit sweeter than I like but still good. Was looking around for the naan until they brought it over to my table.

This spot is my favorite Indian food place lol seriously everything is delicious I only come during buffet time you get to try a variety of good dishes never had anything bad here EVER! The servers are all really nice one is comedian really funny guy.

Buffet was inexpensive and delicious. If I lived closer to Hayward, I’d be a regular.

Why why WHY!!! Why do they keep changing their food here???
I’m pretty livid right now because my takeout tonight was AWFUL, and totally unexpected because they’re usually super consistent.
I’ve been eating here since I moved to Hayward about 7 years ago. I quickly found that they’re my favorite (har har) not only because they have the best Indian food in town, but also because they’re one of the rare establishments that actually delivers to my house.
For a long time, I didn’t have any problems at all. They were super consistent and the food was great. But in the past year or so, they keep making small tweaks to their food. First, it was the mango chutney, which transformed from dark orange with chunks of mango to a light yellow, artificial taste. I got the new formula maybe two or three times, and it was very inferior, verging on disgusting. They charge $ 2 for a side of chutney. This was baffling, so I complained to them once and asked where the old mango chutney was. They said they had run out of it, but that they would return to the old formula soon. I stopped ordering for a while since I wasn’t sure which chutney I would get, but they eventually did return to the original.
Tonight is probably the last straw though, because almost every single thing we ordered was different. My takeout order:
2x Paneer tikka masala
Garlic naan
Vegetable pakora
Mango chutney
Free rice
Let’s start with the tikka masala. This shit is usually so good that I know people who come from afar (SF) just to eat it. I bring people from out of town here. Brilliant stuff, but tonight it was different. It was darker in color and spicier. So I guess they decided to just leave out the cream tonight? Or maybe this is a permanent change? Honestly, it disgusted me. I had maybe 3 or 4 bites and had to add mango chutney to make it palatable. It was kind of reminiscent of ketchup.
Vegetable pakora: Tasted spongier, with more fried substance and less vegetable inside. No crispness. Also pretty inedible.
Free rice: Usually, the box they give is overflowing. Which is actually kind of annoying sometimes because it gets everywhere when you open it, haha. Today there was a diminished portion, and the rice looked totally different. It was whiter and didn’t taste as good. Wtf.
Naan and chutney were the same as always.
So yeah, I’m pretty upset about a wasted $ 30 AND loss of one of my favorite restaurants in Hayward. Losing one of your favorite restaurants is like having a breakup with a good friend. I don’t want to find another Indian place, and I don’t want to keep trying and see if they return to their former consistency. What the hell is going on here? Cost cutting? The result is gross and unsatisfying food.

Havn’t dine in here but have ordered delivery when I’m working in the area plenty of times. their food is Delish! Plain Naan with butter chicken is what I always ordered. I’m one satisfied customer everytime!

Faster delivery than pizza. I ordered from my hotel and it was delivered in 20 minutes. It was still so hot I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down.
I ordered meat samosas, lamb tiki masala, garlic Naan bread, and rice. Everything was amazing and delicious! If I dine in again I will definitely order from them again.
Tip — be sure to ask for cutlery if you order delivery, because they forgot mine. Still delicious though.

I came here to eat the other day with a friend. It was our first time eating Indian Buffet and we did not regret choosing this restaurant. The curry chicken was enjoyable and I like how we can get our own drinks. Service was fast and efficient. Our server guy had a great sense of humor and he made us feel very welcomed. I would definitely come back here again and recommend this place to my friends!

The only Indian restaurant I will go to if I am in Hayward at the time. Very authentic taste. Great buffet for lunch. Friendly staff. Plenty of room as well.
I love the way the food comes out on this big tray with all these little bowls with different entrees on them.
If you’ve never been, you gotta try it. You may not abandon your current favorite. But you’ll, nevertheless, be happy you went.

I was craving Indian food bad! Decided that since this was on my way home I would check it out. Well, I so wanted to like this place! The food was mediocre. I’m not sure if they use cheaper meat products. I wasn’t overly impressed with the food, although I will say the chicken in the chicken tika Marsala was quality and was breast meat. We kept on having to ask for naan bread and it wasn’t even that busy. The food was pretty cold too. I would have enjoyed it a lot more had the food been warm. Sandeep is a pleasure though, great customer service with a joke and a smile but even the great customer service skills of Sandeep still won’t bring me back. Boooo! I really wanted to enjoy

Here with my niece and sister in law. Just like on bridesmaids. This place is horrible. None of the food was hot. All veggie dishes were over cooked and mushy. The butter chicken was the only acceptable meat. The chicken masala was rubbery. The curry chicken was bland. I literally sent me running to the bathroom.
UPDATE.
My sister in law is now vomiting. My niece and I keep going to the bathroom. This place is horrible.

Food here is always delicious… buffet only on Friday — Sunday evenings and lunch on the weekday.
Ordered a variety of items off the menu which were delicious. tandoori mix plate (2 shrimp, 4 cubes of lamb, cubed white meat, thighs/​legs) is always my favorite along with the samosa (potato and pea filled pastry and deep fried) accompanied with a mint/​tamarind chutney and the tikka chicken masala… the chicken pakora were ‘ok’ as they were not crispy as i’ve had elsewhere.

I’ve been going here for years! The food is great, and it’s definitely worth the cost:) I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great deal on excellent food!

This is my favorite local Indian food place. The name basically sums it all up.
And their delivery is legit. Fast, food is hot, and it’s always accurate.

This is my go-​to Indian restaurant for their weekend lunch or dinner buffet. They have a good selection of curries, my favorite being their butter chicken, and other favorites like paneer, fried fish, and chicken tikka masala. My absolute favorite thing here here though is their chai tea. Each visit I end up having three cups.
You can tell which patrons have been here before. One of the waiters will point out their table and without even sitting down, they will walk directly for the plates to start loading up. When there a lot of customers, they tend to bring out the naan in plastic baskets and drop them off at each table. Some times the naan will be plain and other times it’ll be their garlic naan. Either way, the naan is fluffy and so well paired with the available curries.
They could probably fix up the interior a little, especially the booth seats that are cracked. They have clean restrooms and a private parking lot.

Definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in my area. Such a huge selection at a reasonable price. Masala Dosa’s, samosa’s, sambar soup rock. I might have to head there now, actually. Very nice staff, big clean place — go check it!

I prefer to order take-​out and have never been disappointed. Orders are hot, accurate and always delicious.

Everyone I talk to says this place isn’t all that great but I’ve been eating here since I moved out here 3 years ago and it is so gooood!
I usually order take out and the portions are hefty! I usually get the saag paneer, fish tikka masala, and chicken tikka masala along with the garlic naan and basmati rice.
I’ve eaten here a few times and the service is great, the staff is very friendly. The buffet menu is a bit whatever to me, I like more of the lamb and goat curries but sometimes they don’t have it. Nonetheless they have good dishes to choose from during the lunch buffet. And most importantly, it’s not expensive at all!

We were very excited to try this place and were very disappointed with the quality/​Taste of the food. The butter chicken tasted old and the malai kofta had no flavor. The Naan was good, but overall the meal did not live up to its cost. In addition, when asked how the meal was, we responded that the food was fine, but that we did not particularly enjoy the chicken. The waiter muttered something and left.
It seemed like the buffet had many options and they served fresh naan. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is going particularly for the butter chicken.

My «go-​to» Indian restaurant whenever I have a craving for some Indian food. They never disappoint.
Lunch buffet is weekday everyday and weekends for dinner. The have many varieties of meats and curries. My boyfriend loves their tandoori chicken; its almost never on the dry side. I love the green curry here; perfect amount of not too spicy. Also love their mango lassi!
Pricing is very reasonable especially since they have a Unilocal coupon for 10% off!

We had the dinner buffet here on a Friday night, and found the food decent, setting pleasant, service courteous, and bathroom icky.
The dinner buffet had an extensive selection of 20+ plus dishes, including plenty of both veg and non-​veg options! We liked the goat curry (tasty, though limited meat was left when we arrived), tandoori chicken, bhindi masala, mushroom/​green bean stir fry, and chole. We were not a fan of the tea or any of the creamy dishes (e.g. Butter chicken) which were too creamy, even for a fan of rich dishes like me.
The place was clean /​well kept and service was attentive and friendly.
I was disappointed by the ladies restroom, which smelled quite bad.
Overall, a decent spot.

Drove really far for this place, but it was well worth the drive on that sh*tshow that is 880.
My friend who shares a love of fountain pens, writing and Indian food suggested this place. Brought hubby along and she brought hers, too.
Ordered the chicken sagwala. Was a nice and different interpretation of it — I definitely enjoyed it. I also enjoyed their naan as well. Hubby enjoyed his vegetarian dish, too.
Service was impeccable and friendly. It is very hard to find in this day and age.
Though it was a bit of a drive for us, we’d go back.

This is one of my go-​to Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. Easy location to find. Lots of parking behind the restaurant. The restaurant can hold big groups and so there is never a wait. This is mainly buffet dishes but can order other things not at the buffet stand if they don’t run out. Love their garlic naan bread. I order the mango lassi all the time as its so good. They have a lot of dishes to choose from and of course, my favorite butter chicken. Good food.
The staff here is pretty friendly especially this one guy. He always got jokes. If you check in on Unilocal,you get 10% of the receipt. You mention this to him about Unilocal,he would say, ‘Yelp? I don’t know what that is?’. Bhaha… Good service with the rest of the staff as well. I recommend this place for sure.
