Coast To Coast Motors

I have to say, after reading all of the Unilocal reviews regarding this place, I was a little concerned about what kind of treatment I’d receive. I had already had my fill of experiences with used car lots over the past 2 weeks. I was blown away over how well I was treated; how fair the price was for the vehicle I bought; and how satisfied I am with the vehicle’s performance. I would highly recommend this place, especially after dealing with so many clowns elsewhere.

I was approached by a tall skinny friendly guy who was very helpful. Then he introduced me to an older guy who was just very impatient. I was looking to buy a toyota or honda but they wanted me to buy an eclipse. The word pressured does not come close to how i felt. I am very glad i walked away from that deal

This place is fake they act as if they are so friendly and clearly they aren’t. My child and I witness this company happy about placing used tires on a SUV that they planned on selling for $ 25 000. Then they have a so called Auto Body shop that can not be trusted at all…

Terrible, sorry but they were slimy car salesmen. They lied and said anything to get me to buy a car. Please take my advice don’t buy a car here. They lied to me about the price of the car and I found that the car I had bought they advertised it for over a thousand dollars less for the same exact car!!! Oh and they also had me give them two checks one for 1000 dollars and one for 500 and when I took the car back and told them I wanted my money back I forgot to get the checks back… A month later they decided to cash my 1000 dollar check when they knew that they weren’t supposed to! They made my account overdraft when I was out of town because I wasn’t expecting the charge. I called them and they kept trying to tell me they were right they did say I could come get a replacement check after arguing with them but it was embarrassing and I was left with little to no money. Please take my advice this place is a huge waste of time and money go else where!!!

So after receiving my Toyota Tacoma back after her date with the body shop, it was time for some maintenance. I do most of my own work, so I knocked out my oil change, spark plugs, and air filter on my own in an hour. But, I needed my manual transmission serviced along with my front and rear differentials. So I went to econo lube and tune in Fremont, because of my girls rapport with them. Unfortunately, their quote sucked.
I then found an ad in the penny saver for perfect auto service (or something like that) on mission road in san leandro across from big lots. That dude their was smoking crack! No really, he was, and tried to cover it with incense all up in the shop. Check this out, the ad in the penny saver quoted $ 139. I called to verify, and the guy on the phone said, «No problem buddy, just come in right now. We take good care of you» Yeah b.s. His idea of taking care of me was charging me $ 289!!! Can you say, s h a d y ?
So I sat in his parking lot for a minute and looked back in the penny saver and found coast to coast motors. At this juncture, I have had it up to here driving all over for a good price and repair. I phoned them and spoke to a customer service rep named Dre.
I explained my situation and he said he may be able to help me and asked if he could call me back. I told him I would be there in 5 minutes and we could talk then.
I showed up, explained what I was looking for, and Dre quoted me a very good price. However, he did tell me that my truck required certian gear oil, and he did not have the correct weight in stock. I suggested that I was willing to go get the fluids from Toyota or Auto Zone myself. Dre told me to show up at 2pm, and he will service my truck.
I did just that. AND, I had asked Dre if he would not mind me watching him service my transmission and differentials. He said sure, and showed me (well I waited outside the service area of course) how to do it. I could not believe how easy that job is. Just takes time. During the time I observed Dre working on my vehicle, I noticed his work ethic and keen attention to detail. I asked Dre if he liked what he did for a living and his reply was «I love it!»
That stuck with me. I would rather have a guy wrenching on my truck who really cares and puts passion into his profession instead of the guy who hates his job and half asses his job just to go home early. That type of negative attitude could result in an unsafe or tragic situation.
Also, Dre’s devotion to his customers is what really got me. While he was servicing my truck, the owner of the shop and Dre’s collegues were bbq-​ing. Everyone kept going for a plate of food and kept saying, «Dre, you gonna get a plate?» I told him don’t worry bout me, go eat, I do not mean to cause an interruption on your break. He told me not to trip, hes almost done with my service. WOW! Could you believe it? Most shops would prolly milk the clock on the customers wallett. Like take an hour break but include in the labor quote. Not Dre, not at coast to coast motors!
I must say tho, the place looked ghetto. Which reminds me don’t ever judge a book by its cover. The staff were all nice, or the ones that talked to me were anyways. And the job was done correctly and not half ass. My trucks runnin like a champ now, thanks to Dre. And I learned how to do my own transmission and differential service thanks Dre as well.
Dre also told me about the number of cars he has owned throughout the years, and how he has built or rebuilt many of them. This mechanic is one in a few, he loves his job, puts his passion into his work ethic, and is a truthful good mechanic. If your car requires repair, give coast to coast motors a try and a ask for Dre.
