History

Established in 1985.

Bay Area Shredding started as a small family run paper recycling business and has grown to the premier Bay Area document shredding company with 3 generations of knowledge in shredding, recycling and document security. We began offering hard drive and media shredding in 1999. We have now been serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area in California for over 30 years.

Our parent company, Northern California Paper Recyclers Inc has experience providing recycling, transloading and document storage solutions to state and federal government as well as thousands of Bay Area businesses.

Our shred facility and trucks are fully insured with liability insurance and has passed rigorous inspection by various agencies in which we serve (Federal, State, County, Hospitals, Banks, Law offices, tech companies etc.)

We have grown to one of the largest secondary paper processing plants in the State of California (our Hayward location) and we now have a new secure paper transloading building in Oakland

Hi, I’m Karl, President of Sales (and part owner) at Bay Area Shredding. I’ve been working in the paper recycling and document shredding industry for over 20 years with experience in the print industry before that (I also spent some time in my younger days fighting forest fires). At Bay Area Shredding we believe in the importance of customer service which is why I spend the majority of my time checking in on our regular customers all over the Bay Area, as well as meeting with new clients who are interested in shredding service.
