Haymarket Bicycles

Purchased a Trek Fuel 8 from them and love it. Friendly service and mechanics that know what they are doing. Also visit their shop/​coffee shop in the Plains — amazing coffee there.

Visited here to order a kickstand for a kids bike and had a really good experience.
The shop is small but the staff was super friendly so that was a plus. They were very helpful and the price for the part was very reasonable. They even cut it to size for the bike and then put it on at no extra charge.
The bike selection was good but because of the shops size it is kind of crammed. I’m sure purchasing a bike hear is a good experience and most of these shops have great service plans. They also had a pretty decent selection of accessories. I was able to order a part and they got it in stock in no time flat so keep that in mind if you ship here.
The parking lot for this business is hit or miss. It’s located in a nice strip but the parking lot is awkward, which is not the fault of the store.
I would have no problem coming here for basic or specific biking needs.

This bicycle shop is top notch. My daughter bought a used bicycle and took it to Haymarket Bicycle for a checkup. He took such great care, and treated her bike as if it were for his own daughter. The service was responsive, quick, and quality! I highly recommend it!

I was looking for the elusive perfect bicycle for myself and dropped into this shop based on great reviews here on Unilocal.The young man in the store (Shane) listened to my questions and took a lot of time assessing my needs with great knowledge and patience. They actually ordered a bike for me to try at no obligation and then even ordered another one! I never felt pushed to make a purchase (like i felt at another shop) but they got me the perfect bike! They advised me to make sure and take advantage of my year of free servicing on it and I couldn’t be happier. I will use this shop ALWAYS for my and my family’s bike needs even though I literally live around the corner from another shop and this one is a 20 minute drive away! Great service is worth it. Not to mention the fact that I got an excellent price well below what I expected! Thank you Shane and everyone at hay market!

Haymarket Bikes is my only bike store. The guys are not just knowledgable about bikes, but passionate too. We’ve bought a number of bikes there and have been pleased with pricing, service, and attitude.

Met with Jared (one of the owners) over the weekend to find a bike for me and my wife. He was extremely helpful and didn’t push us in any direction to make a purchase; was even patient with us when we wanted to inquiry about color options on the bikes. We have been very happy with our two Trek bikes and look forward to getting further into cycling and this shop will be out go to place for sure!

This bike shop is excellent. They did a fantastic job in tuning up my bike and it rides like it’s brand new. The price was right and the wait time very reasonable (5 days). It’s great to support a local business. Thanks to Haymarket Bicycles for a great job!

Haymarket Bicycles is an excellent shop. Friendly, knowledgeable customer service, great selection, top brands. Best of all, the staff is personally invested in the local cycling community. They support you both in the shop and out on the road.

This place is awesome! We’ve bought three bikes from them. They have a great selection of bikes in house and can get them in quickly if they don’t have one in stock. The prices were competitive with other bike shops and outdoor stores. The service is awesome! Jared is the man!

Expert bike shop. Great selection of high quality brands and very competitive pricing. Service staff is knowledgeable and does not make amateur mistakes, worth the hour drive past many other shops to get great service. Independently owned and operated with a «boutique» feel, but laid back and friendly vibe. I’ve always gotten honest advice there and they never push sales on you! A+

These guys built up my current steed, and it has stayed true to the trail ever since. I seriously wreck my bike all the time. But nope, still running beautifully. What a wonderfully built bike by great people. On top of a great mechanic, the owners are top notch.
I can’t remember his name (shorter guy) but he was super knowledgable when it came to getting into bike riding. He gave me some great advice and told me about all the proper gear to get started. He tried to get me into one of their awesome looking cycling outfits– but I don’t think I was quite ready to take that jump. :)

Great shop. Curtis, one of the owners of the shop, made the time in his schedule to give my bike a quick tune-​up when I stopped in to buy some gear, and was super helpful and friendly. No elitism or egos like you find at some other places, just a great staff.

It is a wonderful things when you find a bicycle shop that truly values their customers. Haymarket Bicycle staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and actually care about the service they provide. Whether you looking for a bike, parts, or service you can’t go wrong paying them a visit. From cyclocross racers to first bikes, they are worth a visit.

I stopped in to check to see if they had some bicycle accessories.
The dude that greeted me was friendly but said no… we don’t have that.
No we don’t have that either… and no we don’t stock that, I’m sorry.
Oh well, they are large on the big ticket items… not so much on accessories.

The staff really know their bikes. I needed a part for my Toyota’s bike rack that I couldn’t find online, and they not only knew what I was looking for, but they also had it in stock! I didn’t even know they existed but a friend told me about them, and their great customer service. 5 stars with no regrets these guys are beyond awesome!

I called these guys looking for a specific bike and size. They brought it in right away and called when it arrived! When I arrived everything went perfectly! Since then their service has been impeccable. Lastly, I feel like I’m amongst friends when I’m there! Five Stars are not enough!

Very customer oriented. I took my bike in for a quick tune up and asked them to pack it up for shipment overseas. After looking at the bike, they recommended the much cheaper safety check because the bike didn’t look like it needed the full tune-​up. This saved me about $ 50. They don’t try to sell you something you won’t need. My bike needed a new seat. They offed to first look through their pile of spares for a gently used seat for half the price. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a used seat so they installed the seat that the tech and I had preselected as a just in case.
I will definitely go back and recommend them to my family and friends.

I have been going into this shop for as long as it has been open, and have NEVER had a bad experience. We have bought bikes there for our daughters, two bikes for my son and continue to go in for nutrition and outdoor exercise layers. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or someone wanting to explore cycling fitness, they have the bike knowledge and the patience for any person or situation.
Curtis, Jared and Stephen are as good as they get. Would gladly purchase from our LBS instead of any other options.

I’ve been wanting a bike for a few years now, and when my Mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas — I said a gift certificate from Haymarket Bicycles that I could put toward a bike.
So after Christmas, I went over with a friend who is into biking big time — as my advisor. We had a nice conversation with one of the owners who was very knowledgeable.
After looking things over, I took the Trek FX 7.1 for a spin around the block. I liked it a lot — a nice, affordable, general purpose bike for fitness, that I could also take on some trails.
In addition to my gift certificate, I had a mystery envelope that accompanied the gift certificate — that could only be opened in front of the store staff — which entitled me to a free water bottle! So I added a water bottle holder, and a tool kit/​patch kit, plus they upgraded me to a more aggressive tire tread.
We visited on a Sunday — the bike was not in stock. They advised me they’d have it by Tuesday and would swap the tires and install the other items and give it the once over before calling me. I received a call early Wednesday afternoon advising me that the bike was ready for pick up. I picked it up the next day!
The bike comes with some support — after one month of riding it — you bring it in and they will inspect and make any adjustments to the brakes and so forth that are needed. And at one year, they’ll give it another once over — at no charge.
