JOE’s Coffeehouse and Trading Post is a small café in downtown Hayesville NC that offers outstanding coffee drinks and snacks as well as a boutique of handcrafted folk art and exquisite brand products from every corner of the world for every room in the house.

History

Established in 2013.

Joseph M Powell, the man behind our namesake, is an award-​winning graphic designer and local, community super hero whose wandering has finally brought him home.

Joe opened the one and only cozy coffeehouse door on May 4^th of 2013 in downtown Hayesville, North Carolina. We make a great alternative to the Moss Memorial Library for studying, surfing the web, conversation, and of course; we have amazing coffee.

Luke Hogsed began managing JOE’s coffeehouse and the Trading Post in the spring of 2014. Born and raised in Hayesville NC, with a short three year sabbatical in Asheville after graduating from Mountain Education Center, Luke has a background in Art and internet technologies.
