Got a root canal by dr Kat. I was very impress by the work. No pain at all. Assistances made me feel comfortable. Reasonable monthly payments. the waiting time is a bit to much but it’s a big office so I can’t complain. Go on a day you have no plans so that you don’t feel rushed to leave. Other than than I had a great experience. Thanks guys

The customer service is good HOWEVER the systems didnt work for checking in AND they didnt verify mt info BEFORE I DROVE ALL THE WAY down here after being told via phone that they did. I got here early and yhey were STILL running late. I waited in the waiting room for a half hour. Then my name was called and was told to wait in a room for an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes AND I was in the wrong room where I was forgotten about! As soon as i was about to leave, someone asked my name and told me I was in the WRONG ROOM. Not too sure if I will be back despite the reviews Ive read. I just thought Id give it a shot but I was right! Im not having a good experience here AT ALL!!!

The lady with the glasses, I dont know her name but SHE is awsome… KUDOS to her! She got the ball rolling when I was walking out! THANK YOU!

My first review was pretty bad so I wanted to update it. First I would like to say that they have nice some nice staff like the ladies in the front desk. The orthondist is ok. The girls that usually work on my braces sometimes make we wait longer than I should, like I would go in before some people and be seen after them. I would like for the dental assistants to be friendlier and more informative. I hope they work on not making us wait so much.

If I could leave a zero star review I would! I’ve been here 3 times, always giving the place a chance to improve with my next visit but it hasn’t. Most recently I waited exactly 2hrs to get someone to clean my teeth after having an appointment specifically for that. I originally waited 1hr just to have 1 of 3 available doctors to come and check my teeth, and when one arrived they took approximately less than 30seconds to look and approve of my teeth being ok, I checked my watch. In the end, I waited the two hrs and finally an assistant came to clean my teeth as fast as she could in 5mins like if I was a problem they had to get rid of.

Had an appointment at 3:30pm for a general check up and did not leave until 7:00pm. I had to receive 4 fillings and left with only one and a reschedule for the next 3. Now here I am back here at my new appointment that was scheduled at the time and it’s 5:00pm and I might not make it out until 7:00pm again! This office is ridiculous when it comes to customer satisfaction and timing. It’s basically a «screw the customers schedule» kind of thing. I’ve NEVER had to sit in a dentists office for long. Usually an in and out thing. And the crazy thing is that there isn’t even many people here!

Came in for braces and they only gave me brackets for a month, they didn’t tell me the process of flossing etc it’s people who really don’t know much but have a license. In 2 weeks 2 of my brackets broke at the same time while eating soup! I called for an emergency replacement and no one was able to help me on the phone for 2 hours! If it’s an emergency why should I have to wait for a week to replace them if cooperate told me it’s an emergency to go in. I decided to discontinue the process that hasn’t even started and the receptionist said I would need to owe 2 grand plus take 1,500 out my insurance. That’s the full amount of braces which I haven’t started like I stated several times and in the beginning the lady said I wouldn’t have to owe anything until I began so I was blindsided. If it wasn’t for the supervisor helping me after my complaint, this place would’ve just taken my money and can care less about my treatment. Bad service, unhappy workers, and they only want your money they can care less about your results as long as you pay more money than you should. I’m going to a new orthodontist and wish I seen these results before coming here. Don’t come here for braces!

They referred me to a SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY
All to be told They were available in JANUARY
The receptionist do not care enough to look for another referral place

This is the worst dental office ever! They have no regard for patients’ time or schedule. If you don’t mind spending all day at their office, then this is the place for you. I spent one and a half hours their just to get my x-​rays done. My next visit I spent about the same time just to get a regular cleaning done. Unacceptable!!!

I went to the Hawthorne office because I was not satisfied with my care at the Lomita office. I thought for sure that the same problems that I had been having at Lomita (not being listened to, no desire to make me happy) were happening again when Ingrid stepped in to help. She made it clear that my satisfaction with their dental service was her primary concern. She listened to me and went out of her way to make me feel confident that the work I was receiving would be up to my expectations. Ingrid made me happy about my choice to continue with Western Dental.

Being self-​employed with not dental insurance, Western Dental in Hawthorne offers affordable dental services with the ability to pay on a monthly basis. I have been using WD Hawthorne for more than five years now. The front desk staff (Jennifer) is always courteous and professional; the technicians in the back office (Edward) are very knowledge and accommodating. They help make a not so likable experience bearable. I would recommend the Hawthorne dental office to anyone in need of dental care.

Horrible Dentist office! They suggested Deep cleaning which was totally FALSE… After three opinions later, all I needed was a basic cleaning. Deep cleaning is for patients with Gum disease. .Doctors are soOoo ready to just bill you for somethingg you dont need… geesh… Crazy lady… Dr or NaH?!! Lol. Becareful

I cannot wait until it is time for open enrollment for my health benefits so I can no longer have Western Dental. The service has been horrible from them corporate mysteriously losing my payments, waiting 2 hours before seeing the dentist and last but not least waiting 10 – 15 minutes for parking.

Their othrodontist are pretty good. However the dental assistants at the front desk and inside are very unprofessional and always gossiping like they aren’t in a professional environment. I don’t know what it is but It looks very bad that multiple people in this office are engaging in meaningless conversation. I’ve had multiple horrible experiences at the othro they are very unorganized and unprofessional. They sit there and have unprofessional conversations with the guards and each other as if the waiting room isn’t filled or they don’t have customers to tend to. I’ve spoken with them over the phone and they also lack in proper phone etiquette. In my experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this location and also western dental in general they take in more patients then they can handle.

Kinda slow with their service and the dental assistance do not speak or acknowledge the patients until they HAVE TOO. But other than that the waiting room is always packed, the office manger is a angel and makes life stress free and the dentist is such a nice guy and keeps up to date on your ortho care and treatments

Do not pay attention to the time advertised here, or the time posted on their door! FALSE! They are supposed to be open until 7pm according to what it says on the door and on here, rushing from work to get here, waste my time and gas to find out that they closed at 5pm! Hmphhhhh

This is the WORST DENTAL OFFICE EVER
First of all the staff has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE they treat you like number and not as a patient.
Also, expect to wait about 2 and a half hours to move into a room and expect another hour waiting in that room just to be seen (clearly they overbook people)
Anyway my 4 year old daughter needed a few cavities to be filled in, it bothered me that they would not let me in as the procedure was being done because supposedly they believe it makes the «situation worse»
(I should have just taken that clue as to just run out of there) plus this was her FIRST dental visit so it meant a lot of both of us
God knows how they treated my kid because she came out TRAUMATIZED
After that experience I cannot take her to ANY dentist without her bawling her eyes out she gets SO NERVOUS & SCARED
They did a HORRIBLE job because now she needs a new procedure since her filing has broken and it is an unfortunate experience that I must put her through yet again
SO GREAT JOB WESTERN DENTAL ON SCREWING UP MY KIDS FIRST DENTAL EXPERIENCE YOU GUYS ARE THE WORST (DO NOT take your kids here especially, I now take her to MAGICLAND DENTAL on Sepulveda & Hawthorne in Torrance much more kid friendly).

First I can say I was so excited about how you check your self in when walking in with the self service kiosk, however there’s only one so if it’s there a few people before you then it’s going to take a minute to check in. Now while waiting to check myself an elderly woman came in ask to get a form so that her doctor could file it out so that she can be able to have the dentist there pull her tooth, The receptionist told the elderly lady in that in order to get the form she would have to have a appointment. I then looked at her like really … She then change her mind just before the elderly woman was getting ready to leave after she had made her appointment for Friday, she had the woman walk back and just gave the paper to her … smh
Now as I know what I was there for 1 root canal … i then was told I had 3 root canal right next to each other. They kept insisting that I get all three done, saying that they would be come infected. I said no my insurance only covers one a year, but some how just for the one I still end up paying 790 out of pocket. It was mostly for the crown .
AT THE beginning of the treatments I asked the dentist about what type of anesthesia he was going to give me because I was currently on diet pills which cannot be mixed with certain type of anesthetics the dentist had no idea and was not helpful at all. That should have been my sign just to leave .
No I stayed in let him started the root canal, hey Dennis and the assistant or having conversations the whole time about lunch God vacation and even talking to a third person coworker that walked in the room Not once did they ask me how I was doing. THEN THE DOCTOR WAS TRYING TO SEND ME HOME WITH NO Temporary Crown. I told him no I want my temporary now. He then was becoming frustrated because him and his assistant for both trying to go to lunch…
Once I go back for my permanent crown I will never attend this place again…
Anyone with private insurance do not go here the worst place ever…

Horrible service unorganized and very rude. Very slow. I was serviced for fillings and a month later Im in more pain than when I walked in this horrible place. I don’t recommend this company not just this location but the company to anyone their just in it for the money not the health of their customers

4 stars for having to go through drama just to get what I should have gotten in the first place in terms of service and care!
I returned for the same appointment that I had a week ago that went so terribly bad. This time, was much better.
Again, my appointment was at 9:30 am. By 9:30 I was seated in an actual room this time, not just cast off to the side. I’m the kind of person that hates going to the dentist, so having to stare at the novocain shot needle while waiting sucks. By 9:45 Dr. Hana showed up and said he would be with me shortly and that he may not even have to numb me given the location of the cavity that needed a filling; Hum hallelujah, music to my ears!
He proceeded to drill and told me that if at any time I feel pain, to let him know and he would stop; he also paused repeatedly to ask me if I was okay. After that, the filling was inserted, I rinsed my mouth and was told to come back in 6 months. It was super quick, pain free, better customer service– HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST TIME AROUND!
It feels great to know that my comments might have actually made a difference; but it’s also frustrating that a hissy fit has to be thrown and in order for things to be done right.
I would still say be cautious of this office; if you can, request Dr. Hana.

Dishonest company. They mis/​overdiagnose cavities and do rushed jobs where they mess up your teeth and make you pay for it.
Unfortunately, this was the only company that was covered with my insurance. Still wasn’t worth it in the end. Every time I came in, it seemed I had to get another xray where they found cavities. Cavities, even though I had just came months before for a cleaning! If they tell you you have one developing tell them no thanks. Google it. Dentists do this as a scare tactic when it isn’t necessary. The teeth has a way of correcting itself and you should wait a little bit to see if it develops.
So anyway I was duped and got the fillings. They filled my teeth, then chipped a neighboring tooth and still made me pay for the fillings! They also said the chip was already there… It was not like that before I came in for a filling. They said they would fix it but the filling fell out soon after. Yup. Still have a chip and a bunch of metal in my mouth I probably didn’t even need.
Yesterday I went to another dentist a year after leaving this place. Suprise surprise! No cavities. Do not trust the staff at Western dental. They will overdiagnose/​falsely claim you have cavities. Even if you have insurance you will save money by not going here.
Go a few blocks down to Healthy Smiles. They usually have groupon deals. The staff are friendly and they are honest. Don’t waste your time and money at Western Dental.
