I was a student in a certified MSF course. The MSF does a great DISSERVICE to the riding community as riding a motorcycle can be extremely dangerous in those who are inexperienced.
Faz is an excellent teacher. I had a lot of bad habits he helped me be aware of. My nervousness had hindered me in learning the first few lessons however I regained footing.
I spilled the bike once and he was totally patient and forgiving.
Your progress relies heavily on your willingness to take instruction and your awareness of your habits. Faz teaches you how to have complete control of your vehicle and how to be safe.

I have had the best experience with Ilyas, his co workers and his wife. I am 50 and a woman but it was high time I crossed the ‘Learn to Ride a Motorcycle’ off my bucket list. I took the CA safety course with a local company, over a weekend and passed the test on my second try, but still felt that I needed more time in a controlled environment before hitting the mean streets of LA. I made some calls and did my Unilocal research before settling on Ride2ride. I am so very happy to tell you I am now riding with confidence. I took about 8 lessons with Ilya and his helper. He is so patient and really helps you work on the basics. He reinforces the muscle memory needed to have the appropriate reactions in real time on the street and it has served me well. Then when I was ready he helped me find an appropriate bike for me. Him and his wife went past the call of duty to find, check and help me deliver the bike from 30 miles away. I cannot be more pleased and hope that they know how very grateful I am.

Ilyas was great! We spent two hours got reacquainted with a motorcycle. It’s been twenty years since I have been on a bike. He took me though various exercises and in about 15 minutes I got my mojo back. Go and get some very reasonable priced lessons. he was great

i was renting the bike for test, he came early to make sure ill get use to the bike and to practice some, which save me completely, the test was 8:30 am at inglewood dmv

I had ZERO experience riding a motorcycle, and within just a few hours I was up and riding.
We covered all the basics – starting, stopping, and requirements for getting the license. The best thing about this training is that Ilyas was next to me the entire time and paying attention to any mistakes I might be making — braking too much, leaning too much, sitting too far back, whatever. You’re not going to get that in the large group classes!
Safety is TOP priority to Ilyas – both for the rider (me) and the others on the road. So, these classes are focused on building confidence on the bike and feel safe around other drivers and riders.
Even if you plan to take another licensing class, I’d still STRONGLY recommend spending some time with Ilyas. It’s worth it, and you’ll feel much more confident on the road.

Ilyas is the best! I never rode a motorcycle before and had some concerns about whether or not I would pick it up ok. Ilyas made it seem so easy. It was such a gradual build of confidence with tons of great tips and explanations along the way. Before I knew it, I was accelerating and shifting up and down, and really feeling the bike. It’s a hard feeling to describe, so all I will say is DO IT. You will be so happy you did! It was safe because Ilyas helps make sure you are super aware of your surroundings and your movements and describes very well how everything works. It’s also in a parking lot so you can practice without worrying about traffic. And when things don’t work so well, he can explain why in a way that is easy to understand and then he helps you practice how to correct whatever happened. This was sooooooooo much fun. This course is THE BEST way to learn! Highly recommended!

I bought a lesson as a 40^th birthday present for my husband, who’s never driven a motorcycle, but always wanted to try it.
It was very easy to book the lesson — communication went very easy (confirmation email/​guidelines for payment and what to wear/​not wear.)
I’m a teacher myself, and thought the instructor Ilyas seemed excellent: he eased my husband through each step and was really good at breaking down information, watching how he handled the bike and how his confidence level was, so he knew exactly when to present the next level of difficulty.
My husband’s friend — who has motorcycling experience — also got great tips from Ilyas. Everybody was very satisfied with the lesson.
It’s done in a safe environment — a large parking lot in Carson. The price for the two-​hour lesson is very reasonable given how knowledgeable Ilyas is as an instructor, and how much my husband and our friend got to learn. My husband went from a total newbie and apprehensive to confidently driving around, shifting from first to second to third gear, with a huge smile on his face.
Highly recommended. I want to sign up too!

Elias is a great teacher! Very affordable place and very knowledgeable teacher! He will show you how to ride and also how to pass your tests to get a permit and eventually your motorcycle licence.

If you are applying for your CA motorcycle license, go see Faz and Ilyas. These guys are the best. I highly recommend them. They are both super nice guys and excellent instructors. They are both award-​winning cyclists so even if you’re an experienced rider, you can learn a lot from them.
I rode motorcycles as a kid but that was 45 years ago. I was nervous to try to ride again, and was doubtful that I could even pass the M1 riders test of riding around that circle and the orange cones. But these guys were very patient and helped me remember my old skills as well as gaining new skills and confidence. I could not have passed the test without them.
They will help you with all the knowledge and skills you need to pass the test — then it’s up to you. They don’t just stand around and watch the clock while you practice, they help you with every aspect of your riding ability. If you wanna pass the CA motorcycle test, if you want tons of motorcycle riding knowledge and tips, then these are the guys you wanna talk to.
Faz and Ilyas are great guys and great teachers. Meeting them and regaining my confidence to ride again was a truly great experience. In my opinion they are the best.

I passed the WMA course but felt unprepared to start riding for real. Actually just two weeks after the course I was surprised how most of that new muscle memory quickly faded.
To anyone who wants to learn how to ride safely and the correct way I recommend you book a 2 hour session with Faz. He’s a great teacher and he has a lot of patience for a new rider; he gets it. Not only will he show you the correct way to perform every detail, like the proper placement of each foot, but he’ll explain Why it’s the correct way and he’ll help remove any lazy habits.
We started with the most basic function — just getting a feel for the bike — and gradually added a new component until I was confidently riding around in 5^th gear. Overall it reminded me how fun it is to learn something new and then practice and practice. Absolutely worth it. I’ll go back just as a refresher.

All I can say is… WOW! That was awesome! I just had my lesson with Llyas tonight and it was everything I expected after reading all the great reviews. I have ridden motorcycles before but I knew I probably had some bad habits and sure enough, I did. Lol. Not only did he immediately correct my bad habits but he showed me the right way to ride and it was soooooooo easy. Llyas is a great teacher and you can tell he loves what he does. I now have the confidence that I was looking for knowing that I’m doing everything right and I felt really comfortable after the lesson. Thank you so much Llyas for your patience and great guidance. I am now ready to ride and feel I can easily get my motorcycle license with the new skills I learned.

I’ve always been interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle and I finally decided to just go for it and learn. I’m truthfully very glad that I did. This lesson got me hooked on riding and now I’m shopping around for my first bike. I had NEVER been on a motorcycle before and after only 2 hours with Ilyas I felt fantastic and as if I could ride home. Ilyas was amazing with his instruction and made me feel very comfortable, can’t say enough. If you’ve been thinking about doing this… Stop thinking and do it, you’ll be glad you did!

I took the CHP course and failed, but I wasn’t ready to give up my dream!
I’m so lucky to have found Ilyas! I arrived with a low confidence level and my tail between my legs, but after two hours learned so much more than I did in 16 hrs of that dumb class. He teaches me a skill, then I get all the time I need to master it – and I do master it! No being rushed through like a herd of cattle. He’s loaded with patience and good humor… all very much needed for this 53-​yr old rider-​to-​be. My advice would be to take a few private lessons first, THEN go take the CHP class, if only to avoid the line at the DMV!

My girlfriend surprised me with a two hour intro session with Ilyas for my birthday. I always wanted to learn how to ride but I had never actually been on a bike prior to the first lesson.
I met Ilyas in a parking lot where he had set up cones and such to simulate a driving course. He was a super easy going guy who made getting used to a motorcycle a very easy and headache free process. He helped me to learn the basics and I was able to get pretty comfortable on the bike that he provided. By the end of the first lesson I was riding all over the parking lot on my own!
I would absolutely go back for more instructions and learning before I would even consider taking the DMV test.
If you want to learn to ride in a one-​on-​one session, Ilyas is your guy.

I bought a helmet before I had a motorcycle, I bought a motorcycle before I knew how to ride it. How sad to see it sitting there in my garage untouched. After a week of trying to figure out when I could take the CHP approved class, I couldn’t take it. I had to jump on my bike!
After some searching, I found Ilyas. This guy is a SERIOUS motorcycle person. His entire life is about motorcycles. He rents, repairs, and teaches riding.
So, onto the lesson itself. I arrived about 15 minutes early. He had 2 other students on motorcycles and riding around the lot. I waited until it was my turn. Ilyas came over and introduced himself while I was waiting, so when the other riders finished and left the bikes in the middle of the lot, Ilyas just signaled for me to walk over. First thing, sit on the bike. Now, without turning it on, lean. Lean farther. One foot at a time. Don’t fall off!
By the end of the 2 hour lesson I was feeling pretty good about riding a motorcycle. Keep in mind, prior to showing up in this parking lot I had never sat on a bike before. Within 2 hours Ilyas had me taking tight turns, looking over my shoulder to check blind spots, shifting gears, evasive maneuvers including locking up the brakes and avoiding skids. I felt so good after only 2 hours, that the next morning I woke up early, started up my bike, braved the 30 degree incline to get it out of the garage, and took a 2 hour ride!
Ilyas is awesome. Take his lessons. You will learn how to ride. You will like Ilyas. Hopefully, you will feel as comfortable as I did at the end of your lesson, and want to be on a motorcycle all the time!

Ilyas was so helpful and friendly!
He takes you through all the useful steps of learning and practicing to ride a motorcycle. Better than the standard MSF training, as there is one on one focus, and real life scenarios as opposed to textbook rules.
I left feeling ready to ride all the way home which was a first!
