History
Established in 2002.
Pride Sash, based in Los Angeles, is a leading provider of graduation sashes and other sash products that help people celebrate important achievements and symbolize their affiliations.
Pride Sash was created by Paris native Joelle & Louis Boksenbaum in 2002 as a subsidiary of Computerized Fashion Services Inc.
As the rising popularity of graduation sashes was taking place and encouraged by a strong growth opportunity, Pride Sash began designing high quality bridal satin sashes, and started selling its graduation sashes in larger quantities directly to high schools, colleges and universities.
The concept was quickly embraced in California, and Pride Sash is now «Proud» to have secured the loyalty and trust of some of the most prestigious schools and universities in the United States.
Meet the Business Owner
Louis and Joelle B.
Business Owner
Los Angeles 2002. French designer Louis Boksenbaum was approached by a group of African American students who needed kente sashes for their graduation. As you may know, making sashes and giving sashes is an African custom and the students decided that this is something they wanted to do to show their ethnic background.
Louis and his wife Joelle decided to bring this beautiful idea to the rest of the graduates and they created Pride Sash. They matched the designs and school colors and presented the final product to college bookstores. The concept was quickly embraced in California and the popularity of graduation sashes started to rise.
