I love this place! I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed! The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food. I always order the shrimp and oysters so can’t speak on the soul food. Despite the bad Unilocal reviews there is always a steady stream of people coming in and out. Yes they do charge extra if you want EXTRA but 25 cents is not going to break the bank. If you like good fish then definitely check this place out!

Please don’t judge this place off of appearance they have some REALLY tasty dishes here! I’m a sucker for the fried catfish with yams and Mac and everyone is so nice here! The homemade lemonade is so good as well as the smothered chicken yummmm!!!

I’ve given them more than 1 chance lately, 3 to be exact. Their fish filets are so thin & cheap. The only thing decent from here is the shrimp so if you want some regular fried shrimp & you have no where else to go, make this your last option. Everything is bland & for the price they charge, I was expecting quality. I’ll stick to another hole in the wall.

I really think they use the freshest ingredients for their side orders and pies. I finally had their sweet potato pie last week and it was really yummy! I recommend it to anyone!

No Problem Fish Market has lots of problems! First there is an extra charge for everything– hot sauce and tartar sauce are $.25 extra– whiting is $ 1 more — orange roughy is $ 3 more. I asked for a dinner plate of fish and shrimp– she asked what type of fish — I said orange roughy– she said $ 3 extra — she asked what sides — I said green beans and yams — she said $ 1 extra for yams — total was $ 17.99 when dinner plate is $ 10.99. When food came there was no shrimp — she said we don’t do shrimp with orange roughy — I said but you didn’t say that when I ordered — she said — well I’ve been here since 2:30 — but I got you!!! This place wins for worst restaurant in the State!!! By the way — the orange roughy was delicious but the green bans tasted canned and the yams were terrible.

This place was awful. The cashier tried to charge me am extra $ 1.50 to grill even though there are giant signs all over for free cooking. I was left very hungry and the scallops that were a pound and a quarter ended up being less than half a pound due to the ice on it. Food was mediocre. Avoid this place, should get zero stars’

Not better than King Fish on 109th and Crenshaw but it’s delicious! One thing I look for… well, I gues it’s one thing that I SMELL for… is whether it smells like fish when I walk in. Although the dining/lobby area was a little suspect, everything was great. They even have freshly cut fries. Yum!!! The staff is very friendly and personable.

Horrible, Horrible, just Horrible!!! I went in to buy 8 fried shrimp. Simple enough… During my visit, there was no one else there waiting and it took them 30MINUTES to give me my order. Apparently, they were training a new young lady, maybe 19⁄20 years old, to be a server. The owner that was training her was extremely mean, loud and demeaning to the new server. Instead of making sure that their one customer received service, the priority was yelling insults at their newly hired employee. After 30 minutes of listening to insults and threats(any mistake that she makes will be deducted out of her paycheck) towards this young lady, I finally received my food. The shrimp was disgusting! I ate one and threw the rest away. The shrimp seemed to not be cooked completely, there was much to much batter and the batter was soggy, as though it was sat on something wet before being put into the box. This was by far the worst experience at a seafood restaurant that I have ever had. I will never go again and would never recommend to anyone else. Also, they should treat their employees better. There is never a need to be that disrespectful and demeaning, especially in front of a waiting customer.

If you are like me and enjoy fried oysters, then No Problem Fish is THE place to go! Tucked away in the corner, literally, of a small corner shopping center, they have been here for years. I have had their fried fish(whiting or snapper) which is also good but I ordered the oysters once and was hooked ever since. I have tried a variety of other fish markets’ fried oysters(Family Fish in Ingelwood and Carson, and others) and have yet to taste any as good as No Problem Fish. After a few otehrs, I simply quit«taste testing» the others. No Problem simply have some of the best seasoning in their batter and oysters are fresh. The price was good in that they typically give a full jar, and once I have eaten my way through the to-go container, I am usually wishing I had ordered more. Dangit! Oh well! I cannot speak to more of their fried fish offerings but the couple I have had were tasty too. Admittedly, however, I only go for their fried oysters.

All I’ve got to say about this place is only order food here on a Friday or Saturday. I ordered during the week and the fish was rancid and falling apart in my mouth. They’re afraid to season their fish too. The older guy that works there is stingy as hell too. I asked for extra lemons and he wanted to charge me an extra dollar after I ordered $ 60 worth of seafood for a party. Only go there if you have to.

This place is within walking distance of my bro’s pad in hawthorne so there was no need to drive here. The selection of fish is huge. I ordered the catfish combo with mac salad and hush puppies. Absolutely bomb! The korean owner was pretty cool. He asked if I was korean. I said nope. I told him i’m mixed viet/chinese. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone in L.A. who wants bomb seafood.

Eh, it’s not the best fried seafood in the area, but when I don’t feel like going to Bates Fish Market on El Segundo and Van Ness, I head to No problem to slightly satisfy my craving for fried shrimps and french fries. The oyster po’ boy sandwich is pretty good, too. I was a lil pissed when after I asked for cocktail sauce the owner stated to me, «it’s a oyster po’ boy sandwich» implying that there wasn’t really a need for the sauce. Negative. I happen to like that on my po’ boys thank you very much. Anyway, it’s an ok place to try if you are in the neighborhood. Just make sure you don’t ask for condiments that aren’t «typically» used on different types of dishes. lol

Wow, no hits on Unilocal for this place, I must have gone to a hole in the wall that I should have passed on by? After finding out the Phở place on Inglewood Blvd is out of business I swung in this strip mall to look for food. I entered the place not knowing what to expect: 1. The name of the place is funny(So, it was a problem before? What is exactly not a problem?). Anyway it’s a catchy name I admit. 2. You pay through a bullet proof glass(Like in some Post Office’s). 3. They also sell fresh fish and they’re displayed inside the deli case. The fishes looked fresh(They have Catfish, Trout, Red Snapper, Scallops, Shrimps, and other white fishes). 4. For cooked food, you choose the fish and plate/combo. I had the Red Snapper(One of my favorite white fish). The fish came fried in light batter. The fish was pretty good but not a standout, no signature taste that makes you go wow; they also come with some bones in it. The hush puppies were flavorful. The rice was a surprise; it was moist and sticky and went well with the fish. The interior boasts only two tables, the service was very friendly. One gripe is that the tables had visible greasy spots(Too dangerous to come out from behind the glass separation? Oh…, in that case I’ll wipe the spots, no problem).
