Horrible customer service. Went in to get my screen on iPhone 6plus replaced, got my phone back and now my phone is dialing everybody. Touch screen is not responding. Went back to let them know the device isn’t working and all they can say was «sorry we can’t do anything about it» HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!

These guys are really bad!!! I sent my computer months ago, it got fixed, went to pick it up and they sent it to recycling! I have honeymoon and wedding pictures stores there amongst other important things and they still don’t have my computer!!! So annoyed!!!

Terrible customer service and communication. Said they could do a job on my computer that they couldnt. Not enough knowledge of what they are doing. Never going back.

Had a bad experience on the location on Hawthorne but the owner contacted me personally after a few days I was so taken back it is concerned seeing how I was just one customer you made me feel like an individual I will continue to do business with you

Don’t get your screen replaced here for your apple devices, the glass they use is super delicate and cracks without even dropping your iPhone/​iPad
Trust me!

Took my husband’s phone in to get his screen repaired. They left a bubble or impact on the screen that is really annoying. Spent $ 100 to only have to spend another $ 100 to send back to insurance since they didn’t want to do a refund.

Very disappointed at this place i needed my galaxy s5 fixed from a cracked screen by last week friday. I went in the tuesday before and they assured me i woukd have it by friday. I go in friday and they say that til Saturday it will be ready. Saturday and sunday pass and no phone call or nothing. I go in both monday and tuesday and they tell me that its not ready. Finally on thursday i go to get the phone back after more than a week of them telling me it wasn’t ready. I ended up taking it to another place. I don’t understand why they would promise they woukd have it ready if they weren’t sure, just wasted my damn time. Never going back here.

I was quoted $ 69 to replace the earphone jack, and the owner wanted to charge me $ 79 when I picked up my phone bc he said I was quoted the wrong amount. He did charge me $ 69 in the end but it was with an attitude, I wouldn’t go back.

I took my MacBook Pro to get repaired, I was told I was going to get contacted later on that day at 6pm, that day came and went and they did not call me. I called them the day after. The guy said it was «firmware issue» and said he would call me back in 5 minutes, with pricing. That day ended and I didn’t get a call either. I called the next day infuriated with the lack of communication from this establishment, I told the guy what was going on And he had an attitude! And started cutting me off saying we have other people before you, and we will get to your computer when it’s your turn. I explained the situation and he proceeded to tell me to hold. I was on hold for 3 minutes. He came back on and said it was my «motherboard» and that I needed to replace it and that it would be 400 $ I told him I was going to go pick up my laptop because of the distrust I had with the business on a simple diagnosis, let alone a repair. I went in on Monday to pick up my laptop and the guy took my receipt and went to the back looking for my computer, I saw it right from where I was standing. I said nothing just I observe how this situation was going to be handled. He came back looked on the computer then went to the back and called someone and asked them where the computer was… Very unorganized. And no communication. The guy didn’t tell me anything he just put the laptop down in front of me and got on the computer and said «alright» I asked him so what was the diagnosis? Out of the 2 that you guys try to feed me? He said the motherboard is done. I said ok, and he just said alright with a blank stare. Pathetic. I warn anyone to NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET TREATED LIKE FECES.
And I see the manager doing apologies on the Unilocal reviews and trying to explain things, look man. Just don’t. Ok? You should be taking care of people in THE STORE and providing them with a PLEASANT EXPERIENCE IN THE STORE NOT AFTER THEY GO ON Unilocal AND MAKE IT A PUBLIC MATTER THAT YOUR BUSINESS SUCKS. Your employees treat people like crap, I work for a big retail company and if any of my employees treated someone like crap, they’d be fired. Specially if it’s a reoccurring thing. So save the apologies and fix the internal problem which is your employees and place of Business.

All I asked from them was to backup my files and reformat my computer. Got a call from them saying they were only able to recover «some» files. Took my laptop to another IT/​repair place and they informed me that the previous people who worked on my laptop (LA Laptop Repair) didn’t understand the basics of backing up/​recovering files and completely destroyed any chance I had for getting my files back. They recovered my files back onto the original drive they were on. By doing so, they had overwritten all my original files…
They corrupted my drive and I had to start from scratch.

I’m sorry to say but this company either don’t know what they are doing or they are pulling a scam. I had the same experience as Keila and Aide now I’m not only out of money but 2 laptops as well the one I took in to get fixed and the crapy one they sold me POOR BUSINESS

They replaced my iPad2 screen in 30 minutes while I waited. Voila! Just like that. Thanks for nice work! And cheapest rates I found in South Bay.

Im sorry to give a business the lowest score possible, but they truly deserve it. I came in here a couple weeks ago to fix a problem on my iPhone 4s, the lower microphone had stopped working and Apple wouldnt fix it because my warranty had been voided already for other reasons. Anyways, after a lot of online researched I discovered this was a common issue and quite simple to repair so thats why i decided to come here. The repair guy also assured me it was easy and quick, and so it was. 30 minutes later I was out the door and headed home.
I tested my phone and went on my happy way as everything looked to be working perfectly.
Shortly after arriving home and using my phone as usual I noticed it was overheating to an extreme! so much, that I was unable to put the phone in my pocket because of how hot it was. Not only that but the new microphone started going out again!
Im not an apple genius or a tech but I have enough common sense and compute knowledge to figure out the new part was either defective of incompatible with my phone. I called them upon noticing the issue and they asked me to come back the following day. When i returned with my phone, I was so cool calm and collective… i wasnt worried or concerned because I figured it was a simple fix. unfortunately for me I was greeted with a condescending attitude as though i was at fault. The tech guy came out from the back and asked me to explain the problem… but before i could even finish my first sentence he was cutting me off and telling me my phone was just no good!?! So much so that I honestly felt a little threatened by this guys attitude and body language. I hate confrontations and this was certainly an uncomfortable and unnecessary one. Even though i just wanted to turn around and leave I knew i wasnt wrong and i was not leaving without what i paid for. Eventually he offered to put the original part he had removed and to refund me my money. I took it and and ran… I was so scared that my $ 400 phone would be completely ruined but lucky for me it went back to working just fine.
I dont know what type of business these people run, or who manages the employees here but they clearly have no idea what they are doing. Perhaps this guy was having a bad day, but judging from other reviews it seems im not alone on my sentiments. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone trying to fix a decent equipment. Do not trust them with your expensive computers or phones, they seem to treat them like junk.

Well I have to say I haven’t returned to this establishment, but I can tell you the owner has reached out to me And offered to assist me in anyway. He said, he is here to satisfy his customer. I can tell he is into good customer service. I will be back

My MacBook Pro from 2007 was on its last leg! Everytime i turned it on it would sound like it was dying a slow death. So, I decided to take it to a repair shop to see if it could be saved. I live right down the street from LA Laptop Repair and stopped in to get a quote. I’m so happy that I did! I was on my way to buying a new Mac but instead the guys at LA LAptop fixed my laptop up brand new! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I ended up with a brand new harddrive, updated OS, new battery, new keyboard, new fan and an external hard drive all for under $ 350! I woiuld have spent $ 1500 easy on a new laptop! Iam extremely happy with my «NEW» Mac! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good prices and fast service!

Took my laptop to get fixed, only worked for like a month. So I took it back multiple times to find out and that it’s «unfixable» due to some type of issue. So I decided to buy a MacBook from them, piece of poop never actually worked in the first place. It had too many difficulties with the webcam, it would shut down out of no where and I had to take it back multiple times to get the battery replaced. So I said eff that and we asked for our money back and only got $ 300 out of $ 500 that were paid for that crappy laptop, I forgot exactly why we only got $ 300 back. Granted they fixed both my other tower computers and they’ve been working just fine up to this day, but aren’t they called LAPTOP repair for a reason? Hmm. All in all, I’m never going back (:

Went to «Geek squad» to have my lap top repaired. Paid $ 200.00 for Geek squad support, and was told that would cover any virus problems. Recieved a call from Geek squad, they said my Hard Drive needed to be replaced or my processer was bad. They told me «my unit needed to be replaced». Not satisfied I got a refund on Geek squad support, and was still charged $ 70.00 for a Diagnostic on my «unit», then told that my «unit» was to old. I then took my lap top to LA Lap Top repair at 12 853 Hawthorne blvd. in Hawthorne (310) 970‑9767. They called me «another geek squad victim». I then found out that my hard drive had just been deleted and could just be reprogrammed for $ 89.99. I agreed and am now telling everyone that I can with my repaired and fully functional «unit», don’t be «another geek squad victim.

I took my laptop here because it was running sloooooow… they folks here did a diagnostic, made some recommendations, were upfront about the time repairs would take and what they were likely to cost. I ended up doing some (but not all) of the repairs and making a couple upgrades. AJ and Eddie were really cool and didn’t treat me like an idiot just because I’m not a computer whiz (I am smart enough to know the «shutdown-​restart» routine, after all)! Highly recommended.

Call me crazy, but I’m not ready to give up on the laptop (Dell Latitude D610) I bought 5 years ago. Yes, it’s not as fast as the new kids on the block, and doesn’t do all the latest and greatest, but it gets the job done for me (email, internet browsing and movies) and that’s all I need.
All that said, earlier this year the battery stopped recharging, and YES, I’d already replaced the AC adapter AND the battery. I was making do just keeping it plugged in all the time, but finally I couldn’t take it anymore! I took the Dell to this place on a whim and Guru hooked me up – he was nice, kept me updated on the status, and LA Laptop Repair got my laptop back to me by the next day! The price was right, too. Three months later, the battery is all good, and when I’ve had other computer questions, the folks here have been great about helping me figure out what I need. I’m glad I checked these guys out before I spent a bundle on a new computer.
