DONT DO IT! The assistants are cool ppl, but the doctors… Uh… no. Ive never had Dr. Joyner, so I don’t know about her, but the other doctors there, aren’t good. They EFFED my crowns ALL the way up! My dental records are now messed up because they reported that they put a crown on tooth #19 went really they put it on #18. The Dr had the assistant put one of my crowns on when HE should have, and the assistant did such a horrible job. She got glue or cement (whatever it was) all over my other teeth. And they had to work super hard to clean that crap off. THEN on of the crowns aren’t even shaped correctly. There are normally grooves in your teeth to chew. My crown… is kind of flat. There are a bunch of other things to talk about, but I hope you get the picture.

My 4 year old did not cry and the staff were very nice and kid friendly. This is the first dental office that he has been to where he has felt completely comfortable. He sat without any concerns while they worked on his teeth.

Please please stay away from this dentist! The dentist is very ghetto and acts like she knows everything. She wanted me to leave the room while they worked on my son. I told I was not leaving my son, and she said she could not do any work on him. She charged me $ 250 to sedate him but did not finish the work and wanted to charge me another $ 250 again a second time. After arguing she told me she would not charge me the $ 250 the second time. But 2 days before our appointment they called to cancel and said she wasn’t going to be able to do the work. My guess is because she wasn’t going to be able to charge me the money. I am an ER nurse and work with children and have NEVER asked a parent to leave while we work on their children. Instead we always ask them to stay and comfort their children. This place is a joke! The dentist argued with me about my right to stay with my child and suggested I was enabling him for being scared. NEVER being your children here!!! Please!!!

I’ve only experienced attentive, friendly service at Dr. Joyners office. I’ve even threatened to follow her out of state if she ever decided to move her practice.
I began bringing my daughter to Dr. Joyner when she was approximately 2yrs old. Through X rays, extractions, cleanings and braces my daughter has only complained about one thing… a busty person working on her mouth.
If you want an appointment time with minimal to no waiting I suggest first thing Saturday mornings or a 2pm/​3pm appt during the week.
The office staff ALWAYS provides you with a receiot of payment and, via mail, a statement of services and related charges. I read two posts where people were billed incorrectly. Thank heavens they were smart enough to review their bills because we have all experienced human errors. It also appears their errors were corrected. A testament to Dr Joyners office staff although they may have made a mistake, they were willing to correct it. They are always on the ball!

I would like for all of those that are looking for a dentist to AVOID going to Dr. Joyner at all cost. My six-​year-​old daughter who had dental problems due to medication use as a premature baby, was TRAUMATIZED by this dental office. She was not sedated for the extraction of six teeth. Her SCREAMS were heard through out the whole office. I was over charged for items which were never used and it took me THREATENING to report the office to the dental association in order to get a refund of $ 600 for kiddie partials! I had been duped by the reviews on Unilocal.NEVER AGAIN! Thank goodness I know my way around the Medical and Dental industry and know by rights, but I will be filing a complaint with my insurance plan so that they can audit and possibly even cut their contract with this provider.
If you are looking for the best dentist in town for kids, I recommend Dr. Ruth Becker in Torrance. My daughter LOVES it there. No FEAR whatsoever! My son had two teeth extracted there and never even saw the needle! He thought he sneezed out the teeth.
As for the staff: You know who I am and your services were horrendous. You’re lucky that I still don’t go to the state board.

I use to see Dr. Joyner when I was about 5 – 6, I am 29 now, and I can honestly say that I every time I go to the dentist I think about her! I remember that she made me feel comfortable without mom in the room because I felt that she cared and was trustworthy. I wish that she saw adults I would go there in a heartbeat.

Overall everything went very well.
Compared to the wait time at my little one’s previous dentist this place is lightning fast.
The office atmosphere is wonderful and the kind lady that took care of my lil one’s put us both at ease.
Before they did anything they explained it in a way a child would understand and my lil one was able to touch all the instruments they would be using (They covered them in plastic 1^st).
The only thing a bit surprising was taking my five-​year old into the back office with out mommy or daddy. They actually asked us to wait in the lobby but you know I wasn’t going for that. I just repeatedly asked very kindly and they let me go right back.
I definitely would recommend this dentist because I can really tell they appreciated us choosing their office. They actually treat you like a human being and that is rare now a days…
They even sent us a thank you card.

Terrible terrible terrible. They billed for things that weren’t done. They pulled a teeth out w/​out her being completely numb and made me leave the room! Keep away from them like the plague.
