Specialties
We take a special brand of garbonzo beans, rehydrate, slow cook, and slow blend with tahini, spices, herbs, olive oil, lemon and garlic to make a creamy and smooth hummus. We then add fresh herbs and ingredients (such as homemade pesto) to make some wonderful flavor combinations. But it does not stop there, we have some of the best kabobs in the area. We take quality meats from a local provider and marinated them for days so that the flavor is saturated into the meats. Our menu is full of flavors from Turkey, Lebanon and Moroco. You will find unique drinks, appetizers, sandwiches and much more.
History
Established in 1998.
We started off as «Shafaa Halal Foods», and in June-July of 2008 we changed our name to Hummus House, Mediterranean Family Restaurant when we started to specialize in gourmet hummus. We are a family run and operated small business and are proud to offer employment to 11 people in the Los Angeles Area. We pride ourselves on friendly services and great food.
