My entire family has been going to Hawthorne Auto for at least 15 years now. You won’t find a more honest or skilled mechanic. Everyone that I’ve sent to him over the years swears by this business as well. Adalberto and his crew of mechanics (including an auto body and paint guy) are true professionals without the overpriced hype. He will give you an honest estimate and fix what is necessary… only! They are accommodating, get you in and out and do a great job at keeping your car up and running for as long as possible no matter how old it is. Take your car to Hawthorne Auto, you won’t find a better mechanic shop anywhere!

Adalberto is a great down to earth mechanic. I’ve been to many mechanics over the past 10 years since I always own a couple cars at a time. I would say he is one of the best ones I have found. I will be returning to him with any of my next car issues. Just call a few mechanics once you know what your problem is and get price quotes and most likely Adalberto will be able to beat that price with great reliable work. He fixed my motor mount today and it was half the price some of the other mechanics told me. He is definitely a trustworthy mechanic and you can’t say that about most.

Its always hard to find a trustworthy mechanic in a city. My mom has been going to Adelberto for years and he has always provided her great service. When I moved back to Los Angeles I needed to get my starter replaced after getting some bad advice from a local AAA mechanic from Gardena. So I decided to take my car to Adelberto. He provided excellent service and I will go back if I have any other needs for my car.
I don’t think he has ever overcharged my mom and he charged less for my starter replacement than quotes I received from other mechanics in the area. I don’t think you will be disappointed bringing your car there.

I am a woman who has paid ridiculous amounts of money throughout my life to unethical mechanics who charged me for work that wasn’t needed. A friend told me about Adelberto about 5 years ago and I’ve been coming loyally to him ever since. I don’t know how many sincere, ethical, honest, caring and decent mechanics there are in this town but in Adelberto I have found one. He has never overcharged. If this Unilocal sounds more like a favor for a friend rather than a legitimate review that’s because, in truth, it’s both. But only because Adelberto has treats his customers like friends. He has very natural affinity for people and while he don’t work for free, don’t get crazy, he won’t overcharge anyone one red cent. And you come away feeling real good about him and his people. 10 stars.

He recently added Smog Check and put in a new lift.
I can’t say enough good things about the owner and his service.
I drive out of my way to take my cars…(notice the plural!) to him… and i can do a lot of the work myself.
