Hi I’m Jamie, the Owner and Founder of Happy Little Heroes Organic Family Daycare. I hear stories like these every day! Our parents are constantly telling us how excited they are that their children are learning soo much here with us!!! We couldn’t be more thrilled!

We are constantly hearing feedback on how much of a difference they have seen since they switched to us!

We are always glad to hear it, and on behalf of my staff, and my self, I want to say thank you! We could not do what we do without the love and support of our parents. My heart constantly leaps for joy when I meet other parents who sincerely value the importance of Solid nutrition thru organic NON-​GMO foods, and creating a Toxin Free environment with NO harsh chemicals. If I had to choose the most important thing to me, however, … it is the words and directions that we choose to use! We are Leading the Way with Laughter and Love!

History

Established in 2009.

Happy Little Heroes is an Organic Family Owned, in-​Home Preschool right here in the heart of beautiful Beach Cities.

It was born with a Dream! :)) .To care for children with the highest level of love and attention that will cultivate leadership within their lives to come. We do not only learn to read about the heroes in the Bible, we use these stories to learn how to BE A HERO.

When God saw Noah, he saw that Noah was good. God saw that Noah’s heart was filled with love and compassion for his friends. God gave Noah a vision, and a purpose. to build a boat. Not just any boat, but a boat that felt soo big… that it seemed to be even larger than life!

Many times in our lives, our own dreams can seem too big for us. But we are not alone, together with the help of our friends we can help make our dreams come true!

At Happy Little Heroes our dream is to help every child to discover purpose from the very beginning! Through Laughter and Love, we are learning to Lead the Way!

Meet the Business Owner

Jamie W.

Business Owner

Jamie is more than a teacher and entrepreneur. She is a visionary, and is committed to working with children of all ages and stages of development, to bring laughter, love and joy to little hearts everywhere.

Jamie began her career in Early Childhood Education back in the 90’s. Since then she has worked with Children in the Arts in various forms. She has a compassionate heart for children with progressive illness and special needs, and has also served on the Board for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Los Angeles.

Jamie is currently working on developing a local Non-​Profit organization to work with children with special circumstances to write stories and short films to share hope, love, and laughter with others in need.

As a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition & Wellness Specialist, a Certified Fitness Chef, and a Life Coach. It is her goal to bring her extensive background and education together to continue to build a complete and free preschool program to deliver world-​wide.

HLH seems amazing, and I want to know more. I am only giving it one star because it has been a month now and no one has returned one of my many phone calls or emails. If someone could respond to me and help me know more, then my guess is the quality of HLH would be great enough that I would want to change my one star rating.

I called this place several times to see if there is availability. No one ever picks up the phone here. After I left couple VMs, Lady name Jamie finally called me back at night. Unfortunately I could not get to the phone this day.
Jamie leaves me a VM that there is availability for one toddler.
I just moved around the area, desperately looking for a daycare for my 1 year old son, i was excited to find a daycare close by.
I proceeded to call Jamie the next day. No one answers again. Left a VM again. I called couple times the next three days and left VMs each time, but again Jamie never picked up the phone and it’s been a few weeks now she never had the decency to call back especially someone who needed her help.
I feel like this place is either too busy to pick up the phone everyday or don’t care about their business. Either way it’s not a good sign of how the business is running. So I would not want to trust my baby to a place so irresponsible after all.

As a current Behavior Interventionist I can honestly say I owe my extensive knowledge of child care to what I learned while working at HLH. I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to work along side Jamie and her wonderful staff. I experienced her passion and dedication to creating a safe, loving, creative, and limitless experienced of leadership for the kids she takes care of and treats as her own.

–Christian based curriculum *which she created herself*
–organic EVERYTHING!!!
–staff that work together to create the best learning environment for your child
–schedule that gives your child time to play and learn at the same time
–scheduled mini adventures (pumpkin patch, fire station, aquarium, etc.)
–fun creative crafts that will melt your heart!
–Parents date nights: daycare is open «after hours» so parents can have a few extra hours to themselves! (How can you say no to that!!!)
–potty training, brushing teeth, circle time, one on one, center times, sign language!
The list go on!
If you are looking for a loving, safe, friendly, fun & educational daycare for your child here it is!

Being new residents in Los Angeles and first time parents, you could understand that we were overwhelmed with finding the right daycare provider for our daughter. With any parent, you want to find someone you can trust caring for your child in a safe environment while providing stimulating activities for them. The moment we met her and visited her home, we immediately were pleased! Jamie has fantastic work ethic as she:
* Creates detailed time schedule and notes of child’s day, every day
* Offers knowledgeable information to any questions
* Creates a professional yet personal relationship with parents
* Provides thorough communication and updates
Most importantly, she is empathetic as she is a parent herself. Her children are wonderful as well and demonstrate delightful behavior that should be emulated.
Jamie truly does care about the children and their development. We get compliments on how knowledgeable our daughter is (ex: 2 years old and already singing ABC song and counting) and noticing our daughter’s demeanor is always happy is a sign that she is well cared for.
I feel comfortable going to her to discuss any concerns, questions, and/​or requesting updates. She’s definitely organized and appreciate the annual/​seasonal handouts. During the 1st year, I loved receiving a daily sheet that consists of schedule for feeding, naps, and diaper changes.
Our daughter has been there since she was 3 months old. She is now 3 years old and thankful we have Jamie to care for her.
I honestly can not see any one else caring for our little girl while her father and I are at work. We are consistently happy with Jamie’s performance. We are very grateful to have Jamie Walker as our daycare provider and excited to have our daughter grow with her.

Above are the qualities made us decide to choose Happy Little Heroes as our daughter’s daycare provider and continue to be true after experiencing a month of care.
We toured fair share of daycare facilities big and small, and haven’t encounter any other place that has toothbrush, hair brush, and emergency care kits as a part of supply lists. Brushing teeth and hand washing are embedded as a part of their daily routines. Mrs. Jamie’s suggested emergency kits consist of the basic supplies but also a love letter to child and small stuffed animal. I hope you are getting a feel of how Mrs. Jamie and HLH are. These are just a few examples of what we observed over one month. If you are a parent in search of child care and these qualities speak to you, make an appointment and witness with your own eyes!

My prior experience of being a part of the K.O.E– Kids staff has helped me grow not only as a teacher but as a Christian. It is inspiring to work with Jamie as you can see the passion and enthusiasm she has for children with every interaction, every craft and every lesson she partakes in. She provides an positive energetic space for children to learn and explore! Her daily activities always form a strong connection between the children to the Christian philosophies she implements into her K.O.E– Kids personalized lesson plans. As a recent graduate from CSUN, it is easy to see that Jamie’s lesson plans are a strong, creative blend of an innovative teaching style and loving Christian morals that the children are eager and excited to participate in! I have never worked with a teacher as dedicated and passionate as Jamie is and this definitely translates into the amazing preschool program she provides.

My daughter has been attending Happy Little Heroes for a few years now, and I have to say that I am so impressed! I have had experience with a variety of daycares over the years, so I like to think I know a good one when I see it. HLH is a happy, creative place for children to feel comfortable and safe. Great attention to details is taken with regards to the development of the Heroes, and I’m not just talking about feeding, diapers and activities. The children are consistently exposed to positive messages, letting them know that they ARE Little Heroes! And the parents recognize that.
I also must say that Jamie is so conscientious about providing this fantastic atmosphere, and she really, truly cares for the whole well-​being of the child. All the great things that are going on with HLH is not an accident — it’s due to the well-​thought out plan from the mind of Jamie. I could not recommend her more!

Mrs. Jaime and her staff treat the children and parents like family. We began taking our son to Jaime and her wonderful staff when he was 18 months old. He is now almost 3 and has developed so quickly with their thoughtful creative teaching techniques. He developed socially and knew his ABC’s before he was two. We attribute much of his development to Happy Little Heroes.
We chose Happy Little Heroes based on many of our friends recommendations and after visiting other schools. We are very happy with our decision and couldn’t ask for anything more from a great group of people to help raise our son. We highly recommend them.
