These guys always give me a good price on new tires, they also have found me some good used rare to find sized tires. Only shop I go to.

I came in close to close figuring no chance I get seen. They had another job that was taking them past close though so they squeezed me in. They are probably the most honest shop I have ever been in. They will show you the problem they are talking about on the car and explain it to you thoroughly. Great service and great prices! I would recommend to anybody.

If every business in America conducted themselves like the good folks at Foster than buying local would be second nature. These guys are honest, professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, and they couldn’t be greedy if they tried.
We had managed in quick succession to put a rather humongous nail in our rear passenger tire as well as a large chunk out of the front passenger tire. After reading the stellar reviews about Foster we limped on down and were taken care of by an amazingly friendly and assured man named Larry, who is first class all the way. Larry ordered our first tire, the one with the missing chunk, and promised to look at the second tire with the nail to see if he could patch it up, which would’ve cost far less than a replacement. Larry was very prompt and communicative and our first tire was installed without a hitch.
Here’s the kicker: After showing us that the second tire had been impaled by a miniature Space Needle and couldn’t be patched, Larry let us drive off not only with the first tire but also a full sized replacement tire. Not our spare tire (which he put back underneath the car) but a new tire the exact size as the other three, and he didn’t charge us for anything. Just let us drive off with two new tires while we decided what to do about a permanent replacement.
Think about that: with nothing but a verbal commitment that we would check our warranty and think about replacing two tires before we got back to him, Larry let us drive off the lot with two tires without charging us. Of course being the upstanding folk we are we called Larry immediately after verifying that the warranty wouldn’t cover the second tire and went ahead the second tire. We went back, got the second permanent tire and we couldn’t be happier.
Simply put, as long as this place is around they have our business, and Larry is a gentleman among men.

Went in this morning because I ran over a bottle a few days ago and now my tire pressure indicator light has come on. The guys at Foster tire company didn’t just take my word, they performed a series of inspections to determine what problem my tire had. After his thorough inspection Sam determined it was nothing more than low air pressure. He also checked the other 3 tires, made sure they were properly inflated and sent me on my way… If you are looking for Quality, Honesty and Superior Service Foster tire is for you.

Well I can’t remember a time I didn’t need tires for any car I’ve ever owned. (That goes for brakes as well). Lucky me I married a man whose a jack of all trades, however he’s not really a mechanic, but has the basic knowledge of accessing the needs of a vehicle — as most men have the natural instincts that most of us woman don’t have.
In saying that, it was that time again to replace yet another tire and we never have the budget to replace all 4 of them new. I went to my trusty olé Unilocal app to find us a place — a decent/​honest used tire place, since we’re no longer in the vicinity of East Los or Whittier for that matter, I was crossing my fingers we’d find one & him be satisfied with it. Well I did see others that were cheaper (and there’s always an underlying reason as to why…“Hello, didn’t I just replace a tire a couple months ago?” (yes, used) — you pay nada, you get nada. So I read the reviews on here and showed my husband, & they were nearby we live, he went for it.
Rolled up on a busy Saturday, only to be in for a surprise, we didn’t have to wait, they quoted us right away, our guy that helped was Sam (& Gus who took off the tires), and Sam suggested we should just get all four, (honestly, looking at all four, you could tell they were all crappy used tires & that they’d eventually all flatten out)., so he quoted us a good price and we went for it. The whole time we were there, it made us feel like we were getting the royal treatment (this for used tires too, which by the way looked close to new), and the 15 year old jalopy we were driving in (granted it’s a Toyo Camry-​you give them TLC, they give you life long loyalty).
While we stood waiting, decided to pay and got rang up fast by nice friendly gentlemen, (darn, I didn’t get his name, he didn’t have a name tag, but he was friendly helpful gentlemen). Saw the waiting area which was decent, considering most waiting areas at any automotive place are usually dark, stuffy, dirty and unpleasant because everyone’s waiting around staring at each other miserable. Didn’t have that here, because they were right on it w/everyone’s needs.
Looks like will be bringing back our van here too! Saw Air Conditioning somewhere, we will have to ask about that, since the vans A/​C doesn’t work and it’s excruciating driving it anytime it’s past 70 degrees.
Well we drove out happy, car felt smooth, since I wouldn’t know what it’s like to drive smooth or for that matter in a new car in over God knows how many years, but I guess it doesn’t take much to make us happy, and that’s exactly how we felt knowing they took care of us, didn’t rip us off, and got us back out & about in no time.

In a town of actors and crooks its hard to know who to trust and who is ready to rip you off. The guys at Fosters are the best in Los Angeles. They are fast, friendly, honest, and affordable. Julio is the man! He gives honest advice and doesn’t try to rob you blind. Julio not only helped me with my tires but was able to refer me to a quality auto body professional who fixed my car in less than a day. Anyone who needs car help or tires should go see Julio and the guys at Fosters by far the best around. Thanks so much guys!

I don’t know much about cars or how much things should cost and that never seems to be an issue when I come here! Julio is always so helpful and not only helps with whatever is needed but gives me good advice as to what to do to prevent problems in the future.
Although they don’t take appointments for everything, i always call ahead of time and get in and out of there pretty quickly.
I purchased my tires there and when one of them tore, he had saved my warranty and was able to help me out.

Came in on Friday without an appointment. The guys were amazing. They found the issue quickly and handled things with integrity. They also noticed that my tires were overfilled with air and took care of it too.

The staff at the shop was really friendly. They told me I need new tires, but that purchase is going to have to wait. I needed to visit Foster’s because I’ve been filling my tire with air more often than I should be. I called beforehand to see how much a patch/​plug job is and the gentleman quoted me between $ 12 & $ 17. I thought that was fair and it was rightly the 405, so I went for it.
I waited about 30 minutes from the time I first walked in. That seating area in the garage was a little cold, but they had a TV with a few channels to surf. In the end, my total was $ 15.50. All was well, and I was out of there to sit in wonderful LA traffic all the way home. I probably should have timed my visit better.

I just had all 4 tires replaced by these guys… service was great — especially Julio! Very honest and detailed, and very fair pricing (others were trying to charge me almost double for the exact same tires). I highly recommend this shop! And they offer free tire rotations every 6,000 miles when you buy 2 or more tires… great value!!!

This place is awesome. You get it all: friendly helpful attitude, efficient service, honest people, good prices, and convenient location. Javier will take care of you like family, whatever it is you need, he’ll do it, and he’ll explain everything to you and show you what’s going on. Come here for anything related to tires — new tires, used tires, wheel damage, leaky tire, broken valve stem, anything tire related. But come here to for oil changes and servicing, because you’ll get the same great service and low prices. It means a lot to be able to leave my car and know it’s being taken care of by honest, competent, friendly people.

I highly recommend this place for getting new or used tires. Javier was incredibly helpful. I explained my situation to him and he was able to get me reasonably priced new tires and a very decent used tire for my spare. I am definitely going back to this place for any future tires and any related work that I may need, i.e. alignment, breaks, etc.

These guys are awesome for tires & breaks. We’ve gotten used tires from them and had our breaks done there. They showed my wife how to tell when her break pads were getting low so she can know herself in the future. They were by far the best price on new tires and the ONLY place I could find with a wide selection of used tires.
Break replacement price was fair too.

I’ve taken my car there for two or three oil changes over the past year and the service guys in the back are great, but my last experience with a young front desk guy made me swear off this place. At first I was going to dismiss his hostility as someone simply having a bad day and I continued to be nice, but then it became clear he wanted to argue — and all over an additional fee I asked him to explain to me so I could understand what it was for.
I’ve read a few more reviews on here about this same kind of experience — a silly and stupid thing to lose a customer over but, there are many other options out there and I’m taking my business to one of them instead.

I first heard of Foster Tire Co a few months ago when I bought a Groupon for a $ 14 oil change. They did a great job — no complaints here! During that trip, they also told me that my front passenger tire had 4 nails in it. I was having to put air in it pretty frequently, so I definitely believed them about the nails. I went back to get a tire replacement and they were great. I told Julio that I was looking for something VERY reasonably priced and he found me a used (like-​new) tire that matched the other 3. He charged me $ 35 for the tire, and it honestly does look like it’s practically new.
Another positive is that they are located across the street from a strip mall. So if you need to wait around, there’s plenty to occupy yourself with including a Subway and Pollo Loco.

Foster’s has a honest man in Julio. Came in with a nail in my tire and he told me honestly that since the nail was on the edge — it maybe difficult to repair. Since he did not have my tire in stock, he told me to go back to the dealer and even looked up the cost value of the tire. Definitely would come back.
