Americas Best Value Inn

The worst hotel I’ve every stayed in. The lobby where you check in smells dirty and is a bit depressing. The walk to the room is worse. The halls stink and so does the room. We bought an air freshener from Walmart to help with that. The furniture is so old, dated and missing paint in many places. Looks like they just picked them up from the thrift store. The bathroom metal towel holder is covered with rust. The blowdryer has a giant cigarette burn hole and its filthy! This was suppose to be a non-​smoking room but smelled of old stale cigarettes from long ago. The grout in the bathroom is missing and looks like they’ve never bothered to upkeep the place. It’s VERY CHEAP LOOKING and Filthy. Not at all worth $ 100 per night. Would never recommend this place to anyone!

No rubber mattresses like other best value inn
No bugs!
Better than other two-​star hotels I have stayed at in the area.
Cons:
Bars have nobody in them, the only friends you can make there are ghosts
Rooms are not perfect, some staining and damage as one would expect at a 2-​star hotel
Rooms seem to either be directly above a busy street or a liquor store. I would suggest the street, the liquor store had crazy fights go down outside it every night. However, if you enjoy the Maury Show, you may consider this feature a plus.

I have been staying here every since I left California and each time I return things get better and better. They always remember me, the rooms have been upgraded and I do like the fact there is donuts and coffee in morning. I just booked another room for V-​Day will be back again

This was a very good hotel for the price. The hampton inn across the street would have been $ 30 more for a pool and an exercise room, and maybe a few more things for breakfast, but it’s far better value to stay at this hotel and go to other places for that extra stuff.

Gross smelling room! I’d give a better rating if it doesn’t smell awful. Hotel is and area is ghetto ghetto ghetto, it’s cheap though, guess you get what you pay for, one benefit is that it is close to LAX. AC worked, fridge and microwave. Bed is very uncomfortable. TV and Internet worked, could have been worse, I’ve stayed in worse that is for sure, but whatever,

The lady at the front desk is so rude she has an attitude like i was real nice to her and she just was mad at me. Then she she was rude to the guess that was behind me. I asked for two keys she told me that i would have to pay for an extra key. Then she told me it was a 50 dollar deposit per night. I had stayed for 3 nights so i had to give her 150 dollars like Wtf. Because of how rude she is. I would never stay here again. The room is nice on the good side.

We my family and I stayed 2 times at this hotel. First when we arrived in Los Angeles and again 3 weeks later after a roadtrip.
The hotelstaff was really friendly and the receptionist who checked us in the second time remembered us form 3 weeks ago. So nice.
The rooms were ok roomy and the bed were nice, but there was a lot of noise from the street also at night.
The breakfast was no good, they served doghnuts, but there were also coffee, tea and juice.
The hotel is located in a mexican area, which at first seemed scary, but after walking around in the area, we found it to be ok.
For the value, it is a nice hotel.

Spent 2 nights here last week on a fly over & hotel /​motel was okay, but service was bad upon check in. Didn’t like the attitude from the young lady at the front desk.

This is my second time staying at this location. Aj and Singh are so friendly and professional at the front desk. The rates are great. Clean room great location.

I was recently in Southern California trying to relocate from Washington state when I spent a night here at America’s Best Value Inn. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I understand security but I don’t like having to be buzzed into the hotel lobby or talking to the host through a glass wall. Call it my preference. I didn’t need to go anywhere so as for location, I’m not sure if it was good or not. Overall, I would stay again if I needed to.

I wish I could just copy my tip here for the review. Since I don’t want to retype everything, I’ll give the summary: shady neighborhood, great place, great staff, great wifi, great rooms, great price. 5 stars, we’ll be back, this is a diamond in the rough! 8-)

We stayed here for $ 70 a night on a Saturday and Sunday in April of 2014.
Our stay was comfortable and we had no problems at all. All light fixtures, faucets, and air-​conditioning was working. Our room was clean and there were no funny smells.
The female staff at this location was very friendly, especially the front office and the maid service. They helped me check in, check out, and use the printer to print boarding passes.
The continental breakfast was just donuts. Although it was free, we didn’t have any of it.
I like that the parking and that the Wi-​Fi were free. On the second floor, our Wi-​Fi signal was quite strong. I don’t know if there were many other people staying, but I did not hear any other guests for the most part.
Many others have complained that the neighborhood is shady, but I did not see any shady behavior.
The other downside is that with our room (1 king bed) on the second floor, I heard a lot of cars in traffic through the closed window since it was facing the street. I would stay here again.

Check-​in is at 2pm and we came here at 4pm. Got our room key, went up and it was a mess. So I went back down to get a new room. Guy up front says maid needs 10 minutes, we’ve been busy all day. Hell no am I staying in a room that only was cleaned for 10 minutes.
Finally got another room and the bedspread had cigarette burns in it. Walked back down to ask for sheets to be changed.
Finally the maid comes in and apologizes, bless her heart. I was already in a bad mood and about ready to walk out.
NEVER STAY HERE UNLESS YOUR OKAY WITH CRAPPY MANAGEMENT. THE GUESTS BEHIND ME WERE ALSO GIVEN ROOMS THAT WEREN’T READY.

The good reviews here are fake. Its as ghetto as it gets. Literally dried semen on the blanket. Literally hair on the supposedly clean towel. We did NOT stay the night. It was that bad. Never again. Never ever.

For what you pay, you can’t really complain. This motel isn’t in the best area but saying that my wife and I felt very safe staying here. Great location for LA, the airport and surrounding areas. Safe parking, helpful and friendly guy at the front desk. Good security to get into the main building (swipe your room key card to access the lift room). It’s a very bland building and almost feels like a prison block (not that I’m aware of what that’s like) but you get my drift. Room spacious and comfortable, bed big, clean and comfortable. Huge wet room/​remodeled bathroom. Would use again.

One of the most affordable hotels in the area. When booked through orbitz the price runs between $ 46-​$ 58/​night. Weekly rates don’t go below $ 350.
While its not the best neighborhood I still walk at night & the parking lot has a safe feeling to it.
One downer is you have to pay a $ 50 deposit. They’ll put it on your card, or take cash, & return it promptly a check out, but what’s the point?

Yes, its in «the hood». Near the airport. yes, it looks like government low income housing or a prison style building. But its also in «that kind» of a neighborhood.
Did I mention its near LAX and affordable?
The parking is inside a compound style lot. One way in, one way out. So its pretty safe.
The outside is basic for the neighborhood. But once in the room, its a different game. Room was spacious, everything worked and the bathroom large for a economy hotel.
It may be dated, but what are you expecting for this price and neighborhood?
Did I feel safe in the room? Yes. Was it clean and comfortable? Yes. Did everything work? Better than at some 4 star hotels. Staff friendly and efficient? Yes.
Easy in, easy out, safe, close to the freeway, clean, affordable and close to LAX…

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in !!! Power went out half way through our stay hot as hell in our room hookers came in and out if hotel nasty neibor hood dirty room and owner is a ass hole !!!

The hotel was nothing special. The room I got was on the small side (king bed). Kinda seemed cramped. It had a noticeable smell, hmmm kinda like an older hotel … Only issue I had was that for some reason people wer calling out room to make hotel reservations :0
We called the front desk and then the problem was resolved. Parking seemed secure since u had to drive in and exit the same direction. Would consider staying there again. I don’t like tho that the ice machine was on the 1^st floor.

This place is great for the price!
Pro’s: secure parking, clean bed, microwave, fridge, air & heater, cable, free internet (but not the fastest); when it didn’t work. the front desk provided a new code or restarted the connection.
Cons: Not so friendly woman at front desk, 1 out of 2 of our toilet papers were used (& when we asked for more, the front desk said they didn’t have any), no real closet (just a place to hang clothes; but no hangers), there was some hair on our towels, our tv volume would lower itself randomly, the clock didn’t work, only given one key, & the appearance of the rooms aren’t the nicest (wallpaper old/​peeling), some water damage in bathroom.
I know it sounds like there are more cons than pros BUT I must say that if you need a place to sleep for the lowest price; THIS IS IT! Regardless of the neighborhood rep, this place is a safe spot to stay at. We only needed our hotel room to sleep, and that’s exactly what we used it for. We were out and about most of the day.
