Settle in, get comfortable and have a great time at LAURRAPIN where we showcase the dishes that reflect true flavor and honors the bounty of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay region. Using fresh, local ingredients at their peak and preparing them simply allows us to capture the essence of the season and bring it straight to your table.
Each time you visit us, you can experience something new, however some of our classic dishes include Lamb Shank and Oso Buco. We have specials all through the week like half price beer and wine on Tuesday, and three courses on Wednesday for just $ 23.95. LAURRAPIN also carries an extensive wine list, craft beer selection, artisan cocktails and house infused spirits.
Looking for someone to cater your next event? LAURRAPIN does that too! Sit back and relax and leave the cooking to the pros. We’ll make sure everyone gets a fresh and wholesome meal. At LAURRAPIN, we believe the best food is grown locally… it’s healthier, tastier, and just the right thing to do. So we source from local farmers we know, have strong relationships with, and who bring us the best ingredients. We’re strong believers in knowing exactly where our food comes from, so that when you enter LAURRAPIN, you’ll know it too.
History
Established in 2003.
Beginning in 2003 Chef Bruce Clarke has been presenting New American/Northern California cuisine with a local Chesapeake flair. The menu reflects seasonally available ingredients, focusing on clean, simple flavors. We craft our dishes to highlight the natural flavor and goodness of these ingredients, inspiring loyalty from guests who return time and again to enjoy what is known as the LAURRAPIN experience.
Meet the Business Owner
Bruce and Sherifa C.
Business Owner
In 2001, husband and wife team Bruce and Sherifa Clarke moved to Havre de Grace sharing their love of the small town, kayaking the waters of the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay and their vision of the connection between food and community. Their dream of Laurrapin became a reality bringing together locals and non-residents alike to celebrate the bounty of Harford County, Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay region.
Led by Executive Chef and Owner, Bruce Clarke, the kitchen interprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine and rediscovery of heirloom products and small family farming.
Our focus is not only serving the community, but also purchasing from the community. Spending local and supporting small, like-minded businesses is part of the Laurrapin ethos.
