Med Express Urgent Care

Very dissatisfied. Visited this urgent care for the second time. The first time was in September. Went to get our 1 ½ year old checked out (sudden vomiting). The doctor seemed unqualified. Came into the examination room, didn’t introduce himself and didn’t wash his hands before examining our daughter. Told us that she had an ear infection after he examined her second ear. He’s reasoning was that she cried after? It was after she vomited twice that he concluded that it may just be a stomach bug.
The second visit was this past weekend. When getting our daughter vitals done the nurse asked what the issue was… When I explained that my daughter had been bitten on the mouth by our dog, the nurse replied with «oh, I thought that was ketchup on her face.» Really? After waiting and then going through a nurse taking her vitals, we were told that there was nothing that they could do and that we should be visiting a pediatric plastic surgeon. The doctor was condescending as well when explaining that we had to go to Boston children’s hospital. I guess my face looked disappointed and the dr commented on that by saying «oh you’re giving me that look… do you have insurance?» Come on, lady! I have insurance but my face looks disappointed bc you made us wait here only to tell me you can’t help my daughter and now you’ve insulted me! We could have headed to the children’s hospital 40 minutes sooner.
Overall, I’m completely turned off by ME Urgent Care. I think from now on, we will be visiting another urgent care.
