This restaurant was so warm and cozy on this snowy day, and the big booths invited us to relax. Our waitress Lauren was really friendly and took good care of us. Foodwise, we wouldn’t return. The wood-fired flatbread with artichokes, red peppers, mushrooms and prosciutto looked and tasted exactly like a regular pizza: yeasted puffy crust in a large circle, marinara sauce and cheese with toppings, and zero taste from a wood fire. Perhaps just call it «pizza»? Also consider a higher quality prosciutto if possible? Anyway, it was reasonably priced as a lunch special, at $ 10ish for a 12-inch pizza. The beer menu was small and basic(the second adjoining bar was closed when we visited at 2:30pm). We ordered the cannoli for dessert; my husband loves to get these from the Italian neighborhood near us back home, and we had a great cannoli in Boston, but he really disliked this one. I am not a cannoli expert, but the ricotta filling tasted sort of like vanilla pudding, so maybe that was the problem. The shell was a little too hard. We enjoyed the experience, but the food was not tasty enough to warrant a return visit.

I have been going to Kruegers for years, I probably eat there s couple times each year. I went with a couple friends on the Saturday after Thanksgiving; we went at 5:00, thinking we’d beat the crowd. We waited 45 minutes, there is a small deck, so we got some fresh air. Once seated, I ordered the Fernwood salad, which is topped with steak tips. Sadly, there were just three steak tips on the salad. In the past when I ordered this, there were a couple more. Still very good though! Service was fairly fast, considering it was so busy. I didn’t get a drink, but they do have a good selection of beers & cocktails. As always, nice ambience, not too fancy, but cozy & nice. I’ve had several pizzas/flatbreads from here, they are all delicious & bit out of the ordinary. I recommend Kruegers, the food & service are very good, as is the atmosphere. A great local pick!

I’ve tried a few flatbreads and a chicken alfredo dish from here. They were all delicious. Great service and cozy environment. Definitely recommend a custom order for chicken alfredo bacon flatbread, it’s to die for.

Service was good. Attentive and kind. The little ball of dough for the kid was a hit for sure. Pizza and salad were good, but seems like they use sugar in the dough and the dressing. Wasn’t a huge fan of that. Everything was a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall decent spot and I’d come back to try something else for sure.

I had been craving pizza for a few weeks and hadn’t satisfied the urge. While on a trip I had a coworker recommend this place. I’m so glad I waited for some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! If you’re in the mood for great pizza, you won’t be disappointed!

bland pizza. Crust needed salt. toppings were sparse and too large.

The pizza flavors were weird, but in a good way. Definitely not up to snuff with Flatbread in Amesbury, but still pretty good. Atmosphere is a little cramped and sports-bar-ish. Felt like the waitress was giving us the stink eye, not sure what that was about. No one was there to seat us, we had to wander around a bit before someone approached. Worth trying.

The Flatbread pizza here is delicious. The salads are also fantastic if looking for something lighter. My favorite is the pulled pork panini. The service both here and at Olivia’s has always been great and occasionally my wife and I will sit at the bar to eat. Matt the bartender is always friendly and makes an Ultimate Chocolate Martini that my wife loves.

It was our first time here. The atmosphere and overall décor is really nice. We liked that we could see the wood fire oven. If you ask for a coke they’ll give you a Pepsi without asking if that’s okay with you. Pepsi sucks. We ordered the riverside«chips» for an appetizer… Basically it was a pile of room temperature flatbread underneath a heaping pile of cheese(see picture). The«chips» were not chips but just bread. Like, they’re literally pieces of bread. We got the Lafayette vegetarian flatbread. It was pretty average. The veggies all kind of tasted the same? But with salt, pepper, parm cheese, and red pepper flakes, we ate it. For dessert we got the tiramisu, it was just okay. Kind of heavy. And they used Hershey’s chocolate syrup. The service was good. But everything else was just okay. Nothing more than average really. We probably won’t come back.

I thoroughly enjoy this place. Whenever I have friends visiting I bring them here for dinner. Pitchers of sangria are awesome. There is a large variety of pies here so it will pretty much appeal to anyone. The crust itself is very enjoyable. The oven gives a nice texture. I just wish they had their specials all day. At lunch they have great Italian specials, which would be great all day long for those looking for something different.

This is really hit or miss. It’s fantastic if the flatbread hasn’t been overcooked. However several times it has been completely burnt on the bottom. The variety of toppings are fantastic, and the appetizers are great as well.

One of my favorite places to eat in haverhill, they never disappoint. How can you go wrong with a steak tip pizza? You can’t! My only request is to add some burgers to the menu for dinner time

I really liked this place. They had some interesting beer options, and the waitress recommended a good one. We ordered the chips appetizer, which is basically a cut-up flatbread that they put cheese on(like nachos), and it’s served with salsa, avocado(mashed up, not guacamole), and sour cream. That was tasty but too filling. For dinner, 2 of us split a pizza. I really liked the pentucket, which had chicken and goat cheese Can’t go wrong with goat cheese!

Excellent quality flatbread pizzas here. The interior is warm and dim and serviced by a very sweet, friendly, and helpful staff. I strongly recommend the clam chowder as a starter and then a flatbread pizza where you can split a pie from two orders(at the cost of the most expensive order which shouldn’t be more than $ 16 – 17 for big enough pie to feed two). The pizzas are named after uniquely Haverhill themes such as the Winnekenni Quattro(named after the Castle), The Thinker(named after the statue in front of Haverhill High), The Hillie(a nickname of the locals), and even the Hannah Duston(a late 1600s Colonial hero who escaped capture from a group of 12 savage Indians and returned back to Haverhill with 10 scalps to prove you don’t mess with her!!!) There’s plenty of parking behind the restaurant and the service is fast. You can also watch the ballgame if you sit at the bar.

We went here on a busy Saturday night. The hostess was wonderful. She told us there was a 45 to 60 minute wait. We were given a table less than 20 minutes later! Our waitress was wonderful. She explained the menu well. She was terrific in helping us choose our meals. The pizza and salad came quickly. The food: amazing! I’ll be back soon!

I lived in an apartment a few blocks away from Kruegers Flatbread and had no idea it existed. The downtown area of Haverhill is laid out awkwardly and I didn’t realize there were any restaurants in that corner. A coworker knew I lived in Haverhill and told me she had overheard a fellow passenger on a flight out of Boston Logan Airport gushing about how good the flatbread was at Kruegers. She urged me to go. Being that I lived within walking distance, I had to check it out. We went on a Wednesday night around 7pm and it was packed inside so I figured the food must be pretty good. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated either. We ordered the insalata caprese, a bowl of chowder, and a pizza with half Bradford Square and half Krueger. The insalata caprese was beautifully presented and tasty. The award winning chowder was decent and definitely not from a can. My boyfriend thought the Bradford Square pizza was delicious. He said the meat was cooked well, the sauce was good, the onions paired well with the pizza, and the bleu cheese was a perfect addition. The Bradford Square half was his, and the Krueger was mine. He did not like the Krueger, but I did so that’s all that matters. I loved the combination of shrimp, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes. I would recommend this place to others.

Very good Pizza. Of course it is made in a wood fired oven which makes pizza and other items so much better. Very crowded, so we had a drink at the bar until our buzzer lite up. The wings were the low point — just not very good. The wedge was great as well as the hot fresh bread that was served. They tell me they bake it daily in the oven. A great place to come for pizza if you don’t like feeling like firing up your backyard wood pizza oven.
