Lumber Liquidators

I went to Lumber Liquidators in an attempt to redo the floor in my newly bought house. I was a little nervous in taking on a major project like this. I went to the location in Hauppauge. It was easy to get to only a couple of turns off the LIE although the actual building is hard to see being that it is a side building in a parking lot with minimal signs, but the trip was well worth it! I was greeted and helped with a man named Anthony. He made my buying process easy and unnerving. He explained to me the many differences with hardwood floors. I thought I was just going to buy Oak floors which I thought was the best. Anthony explained to me that oak just happens to be the most used wood, but not necessarily the best. We went over a few of the hardwood brands that they carry. I can’t believe how many different woods there actually is! Anthony was so kind to bring me over to the computer and show me customer photos of the different floors I was interested in because it is hard to gather how the floors look in a bigger room from the display boards. After an hour or two I finally had made a decision! I went with the Brazilian Koa for my main floor and Hickory for an upstairs room. These were from their best Bellawood line. I also got a nice padding for the floors which I didn’t even knew they had for hardwood floors. Although the floors I picked out weren’t in stock, Anthony happened to get them in under a week! This helped me out greatly because I was pressed for time on top of the fact that I didn’t know that the floor had to sit for week before it could be installed which Anthony let me know. After patiently waiting a family friend happened to install the floor for me. The floors turned out beautiful!!! I could not be happier. Thank you Anthony for your help! I bought laminate originally from home depot but decided to check out lumber liquidators to see if there was a better deal. To make a long story short the guy although nice estimated the wrong amount of flooring I would need. My bf put down the floor and when he opened a box majority of the laminate was damaged. We brought the box back and because it was opened the guy would only exchange it out. This makes no sense because you wouldn’t see the damage unless you opened it. He said he was being nice by letting us exchange it, even though they estimated the wrong amount, and giving us a new one. You would be nice if you would return it since you can sell the new unopened box to someone else. You’re not nice by exchange a new box out that is going to be sitting in an attic unused. That is not good customer service and I’m not recommending you to anyone. Poor business decision for what… the $amount of one box.

In attempt to remodel a few rooms in my house, I was compelled to try Lumber Liquidators while searching for flooring. First of all, the place is a little tucked away and hard to find especially at night, but we made it. The manager Davindra was extremely helpful. He explained everything regarding the best laminate and hardwood in the store, he estimated the price according to the size of the spaces and was so personable. The prices were very reasonable. There was a sale in the store at the time and I couldn’t believe how low they were! In the end, we decided to restore the original hardwood in the house, however I would recommend Lumber Liquidators to anyone! Go see for yourself! Happy Unilocaling!
