This is 3rd location of this local Mexican restaurant…1st time in back on 5÷3÷16 and this is by far the most luxe of the 3… really cool touches from having the name carved into the banquettes to cool carved mariachi statues to overall roominess… something like 9 – 10 banquettes and 15+ tables and 2 rooms that offer additional tables and would be great if you were having a group dinner of 8 or more folks…
Nice bar with beer/​cerveza options in both draft and bottle… THE ONLY DRAWBACK, due to location they CANNOT offer hard liquor sales (therefore NO Margaritas, sorry ladies)…
The menu is the same as the other locations but the cooks need to step there game up a bit but I think they’ll get there because the manager of this location is top notch and a kick ass kinda lady…
So when I’m back up in north LA this will definitely be my go to Mexican food joint… if you find yourself east of LA Downs on US Hwy 80 stop in and check it out for yourself…

Everything about this place is great. Plenty of veggie options and addictive chips and salsa. The spinach enchiladas with tomatillo sauce are some of the best, most flavorful I’ve had. There is also a mushroom enchilada, spinach quesadillas, veggie fajitas and a veggie combo. My parents also loved their meals! A new favorite in Haughton!
