Took our little dog for a routine dental cleaning. I asked to speak to the vet about her collapsing trachea before the visit. I was only able to talk with a tech who assured me they would take good care of her. They were also suppose to get a needle biopsy of a lipoma on her back. They pulled 7 teeth and cut out the lipoma without asking us. She was sent home without any pain meds and cried all night. The next morning, she developed respiratory distress from her tracheal collapse. I took her back during normal business hours. The vet on duty was in surgery but not even a tech would come out to see her. The receptionist told me they couldn’t see her until tomorrow but she looked fine to her. I rushed her to the emergency vet nearby and she was admitted, sedated, and put in an oxygen tent overnight. If I had waited much longer, the ER vet told me she would be dead. She has improved but has frequent spells of severe cough and respiratory distress ever since. We will never go back. It may have been an isolated incident but their care has shortened our dog’s lifespan significantly.

We took our cat to Veterinary Associates when we noticed he was sick with stomach problems. Luckily, we were able to make a same day appointment. They ran a few tests and were able to see that our cat ate something he wasn’t supposed to! Dr. Suzette, Malcolm, and the rest of the staff are very caring people who made sure all our questions were answered. You can tell they are all passionate when it comes to our furry companions. We will definitely take our two cats to them for their annual check up.
