Super 8 Hattiesburg

This was one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed in. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for only 1 night but never will we stay there again. The fact that we showed up at 1pm to check in and were told to come back after 2 because the room wasn’t clean (even though online it says check in is at 1) was not even my main issue. We arrived in the afternoon and had to run to a wedding. So we didn’t get back until midnight. We pulled back the sheets and there were several stains. I immediately called the front desk and the lady asked what time I checked in. I thought she just needed to look up my file so I told her 2pm. She then proceeded to ask why hadn’t I noticed it until then. What difference does it make? She acted as though I was bothering her. She said she would be up to check it. I told her it doesn’t need checking, it needs to be replaced. She then asked for me to bring the sheets down. At midnight? And you want your guest to bring the sheets down? I refused and she came up and changed them. Oh but not before she tried to hand us the sheets so we could do it ourselves. Never again. Customer service is everything.

I have never had any problems with Super 8 Motels before until we stayed at this location. All of out towels were dirty and covered in hair, the bathtub was extremely filthy, and toilet seat was halfway broken off. Other than issues with cleanliness it was decent for a one night stay.

We had to switch rooms 3 times before giving up because they all had bedbugs in them.
The staff was really nice and enthusiastic if a bit dimwitted and the wifi is real fast but these facts don’t make up for bedbugs which are ALWAYS a dealbreaker.
